The Christian Podcast Community podcast is an incredible resource for anyone seeking to deepen their faith and grow in their understanding of the Bible. I have been thoroughly impressed by the wide variety of topics covered and the quality of the content provided. This podcast brings together many of my favorite Christian shows, creating a radio-like experience that is both enjoyable and informative. Additionally, I appreciate how this community introduces me to new shows that I may not have discovered on my own, expanding my horizons and allowing me to explore different perspectives within the Christian faith.

One of the best aspects of The Christian Podcast Community podcast is its ability to cater to a diverse range of interests and preferences. Whether you're interested in theology, apologetics, personal growth, or practical advice for living out your faith, there is something for everyone here. The hosts are knowledgeable and passionate about their respective topics, providing valuable insights and perspectives that can greatly enhance your understanding of Christianity. Furthermore, this community ensures that all programs are based on Holy Scriptures and adhere to core doctrines such as salvation by grace through faith in Christ alone.

However, one potential downside of this podcast is that not every episode may be relevant or appealing to all listeners. While the community strives for high-quality content, it's understandable that personal preferences may vary when it comes to certain topics. It would be helpful if episode titles indicated the specific show being featured so that listeners can easily identify which episodes align with their interests and skip over those they aren't interested in. For example, as someone without small children or an interest in movies, I would appreciate being able to quickly delete episodes focused on these topics in order to create a more personalized listening experience.

In conclusion, The Christian Podcast Community podcast is a highly recommended resource for anyone seeking solid biblical knowledge, wisdom, and discussions rooted in Jesus' name. The combination of various shows within this community offers a wealth of information and perspectives from committed Christians who share a core belief in salvation by grace through faith. While not every episode may be personally relevant, the overall value and quality of this podcast make it an excellent choice for truth seekers looking to grow in their faith.

In this sermon, Adam preaches on the continuation of spiritual gifts, walking through 1 Corinthians 13:8–12 to show that the “perfect” refers to seeing Jesus face-to-face, not the completion of Scripture. He shares a powerful healing testimony, addresses the cessationist viewpoint with respect, and builds a strong biblical case for why the gifts are still necessary for the church today. We hope and believe this message will impact your life powerfully.

The Lord Is My Shepherd: Life Is Better This WayText: Psalm 23Main Idea: When Christ is truly your Shepherd, you lack nothing—and life takes on a new peace, purpose, and power.IntroductionThe “Danger” of FamiliaritySteve Farrar calls Psalm 23 one of the most dangerous Psalms because we've grown too familiar with it.Familiarity can dull the meaning and power of God's Word.Fresh Eyes: Today we'll revisit this passage and let it cut through the routine, so it can transform our lives.I. When Christ Is Our Shepherd, Our Desires Shift (Psalm 23:1)Bold Declaration: “The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want.”Not just words—this is a life posture.Shift in Desires: No need for worldly success, constant validation, or anxious striving.Reality Check: Many claim Jesus is their foundation but live in panic when trials hit.Sheep Analogy: Sheep are defenseless, prone to filth, and often foolish—completely dependent on their shepherd.Illustration: Sheep in a ditch rescued, then immediately jumping back in—just like us sometimes.Application: Depend fully on the Shepherd; repent quickly when you fail. (James 3:8–10)II. The Danger of Misplaced Expectations (Psalm 23:2–3)In Marriage: Many love transactionally, expecting a “return” for service. When expectations aren't met, frustration leads to anger, bitterness, and destruction.Biblical Order: When Christ is center—peace follows. He leads, restores, guides.III. God Is Not Just Good in Theory—He's Good in Practice (Psalm 23:4)Living Like He's Good:Marriage becomes discipleship, not just maintenance.Parenting becomes shepherding hearts, not just correcting behavior.Church becomes joy, not duty.In Valleys: Life's darkest moments don't bring fear because the Shepherd is near.IV. The Shepherd's Presence Is Our Power (Psalm 23:4–5)Our Limits: We aren't strong, wise, or patient enough—but He is.Order of the Shepherd's Care:He leads, protects, disciplines, prepares, pursues.Discipline as Love: Like a shepherd breaking a wandering sheep's leg to save it.Christ's discipline means you belong to Him (Hebrews 12:6).Knowing His Voice (John 10:24–29): Sheep know the shepherd because they're constantly with Him.V. Final Challenge: Recenter Your Life on Jesus (Psalm 23:6)Root Problems: Marriages, joy, and peace often fail because Jesus is not at the center.Life-Altering Reality: “I shall not want” is not a coffee mug slogan—it's a way of life.Stop placing on others what only Christ can fulfill.Let Christ be your Shepherd—in home, marriage, business, and daily life. Conclusion & InvitationIf Jesus is your Shepherd:Follow Him.Trust Him.Build your life on Him alone.Promise: “I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever” is for today—not just eternity.Life is better this way.Prayer.

The salient point of our discussion revolves around the relevance of the Old Testament for the Church today. We delve into various perspectives on how the laws and teachings from the Old Testament still hold significance in contemporary Christian faith and practice. Throughout our dialogue, we examine the contrasting views of dispensationalism and covenant theology, considering how each framework interprets the continuity or discontinuity of the Old Testament laws in light of the New Covenant established by Christ. Furthermore, we explore the implications of these differing theological positions on the understanding of scripture, particularly regarding the moral law and its application to believers today. Ultimately, our conversation aims to highlight the enduring value of the Old Testament while navigating the complexities of its interpretation and application in the modern Church.Takeaways: The Old Testament remains relevant for the church today, influencing our understanding of God's laws and character. The discussion highlights differing views on the application of Old Testament laws in contemporary Christian practice. Descriptive passages in the Old Testament should not be interpreted prescriptively without careful consideration of context. Interpreting scripture involves understanding both the original audience and the implications for modern believers.

Parenting with Purpose: Turning Challenges into Discipleship Opportunities

In this lively episode of the Rap Report, Andrew Rappaport and Pastor Joshua tackle the often daunting yet essential topic of parenting, framing it not just as a responsibility but as a divine act of discipleship. They dive into the idea that parenting should be viewed through the lens of spiritual stewardship, with the goal of raising children who know and love God. The conversation is peppered with witty banter, as they humorously acknowledge the struggles of modern parenting, all while emphasizing that deep connections and intentionality are key to effective discipleship within the home. Pastor Joshua shares insights from his book, "Parenting Against the Current," which offers practical tools and strategies for navigating the cultural currents that often pull families away from biblical values. Listeners are encouraged to embrace the challenge of intentional parenting, reminding them that while the journey is complex, it is also rewarding and rooted in love and faith. The podcast episode unfolds as Andrew and Pastor Joshua engage in a relaxed yet profound conversation about the trials and tribulations of parenting, framing it as a spiritual journey of discipleship. They humorously debunk the myth that parenting is simply about raising children into adulthood, instead positing that it is a divine calling to disciple the next generation. Joshua's insights from his book, *Parenting Against the Current: Taking Back Discipleship in Your Home*, serve as a guiding light in this discussion, encouraging parents to reevaluate their approach to raising children in a culture that often opposes biblical teachings. One of the standout themes is the necessity for parents to view their role as active disciple-makers, preparing their children not just for life's challenges but for a flourishing relationship with God. Joshua discusses how modern distractions and societal norms can pull families away from this goal, and he emphasizes the importance of intentional parenting that begins long before children can articulate their spiritual needs. This proactive stance involves cultivating an environment of faith that permeates daily life, making discipleship a natural extension of family interactions. As the conversation progresses, they delve into practical strategies for integrating spiritual teachings into everyday activities, such as cooking or family game nights, and how to leverage media consumption as a teaching opportunity. They underscore the importance of fostering open dialogue about faith and morality, ensuring that children are equipped to discern truth amidst cultural lies. Ultimately, the episode is a rallying cry for parents to embrace their significant role in their children's spiritual formation, encouraging them to take actionable steps toward effective discipleship, regardless of their current situation.Takeaways: Parenting should be viewed as a form of discipleship, where intentionality is key to guiding children in their faith journey. The podcast emphasizes the need for parents to engage actively in their children's spiritual development from the earliest stages of life. Discipleship is not just a church activity; it must be integrated into the home environment where kids learn to love and know God. Cultural currents often pull families away from biblical truths, necessitating a proactive approach to parenting that pushes against societal norms. The salient point of this episode is the exploration of dispensational premillennialism, which is presented as a coherent theological framework that maintains a distinct separation between Israel and the Church. Throughout the discussion, we delve into the intricacies of biblical interpretation, particularly emphasizing the importance of understanding scripture within its original context. We engage in a rigorous examination of various eschatological views, highlighting the unique contributions of dispensationalism to Christian theology. Furthermore, the conversation touches upon the implications of these beliefs on personal faith and community dynamics, urging listeners to consider how eschatological perspectives can influence their walk with Christ. Ultimately, we aim to encourage a deeper understanding of scripture, fostering a spirit of inquiry and respectful dialogue among differing theological viewpoints. The discourse presented within this episode delves into the intricate nature of religious beliefs and the biases that accompany them, particularly as they pertain to the examination of various faiths. The dialogue invites listeners to reflect on the phenomenon of confirmation bias and its implications for individuals scrutinizing religious doctrines. The speakers engage in thoughtful analysis, highlighting the tendency of practitioners to scrutinize the fallacies of competing belief systems while remaining blind to inconsistencies within their own. This episode serves as a compelling reminder of the need for self-reflection and intellectual honesty in discussions surrounding faith and belief, urging us to confront our own biases with the same rigor we apply to others' beliefs. The overarching message emphasizes the importance of a balanced approach to religious discourse, where individuals are encouraged to examine their own doctrines critically, leading to a deeper understanding of faith as a whole.Takeaways: The discussion elucidates the tendency for individuals to discern fallacies within religions other than their own while remaining blind to similar flaws within their own belief systems, thereby revealing inherent biases. The podcast emphasizes the critical examination of eschatological views, particularly the distinctions between amillennialism, postmillennialism, and dispensational premillennialism, and how these perspectives interpret biblical prophecies differently. Listeners are encouraged to engage actively with theological discussions, asking difficult questions about God and the Bible, which promotes a deeper understanding of faith and doctrine. The episode highlights the importance of interpreting scripture through its original context, asserting that each passage must convey its intended meaning without imposing extraneous interpretations. A key takeaway is the assertion that studying eschatology instills a sense of urgency and accountability in believers, motivating them to pursue a life of holiness and fervent devotion to God. The podcast underscores the idea that not all who identify as part of Israel genuinely represent the covenantal lineage of faith, drawing parallels to contemporary discussions about identity and spirituality in relation to biblical promises.

Psalm 86: A Cry from the Heart for God's Listening EarI believe the enemy works hard to keep us from understanding what it means to have an effective prayer life—because once we grasp it, everything about the way we live and interact with others begins to change.Prayer is more than simply opening your mouth and speaking—though that's a great place to start. As Charles Spurgeon once said, “True prayer is neither a mere mental exercise nor a vocal performance. It is far deeper than that—it is a spiritual transaction with the Creator of Heaven and Earth.”Jonathan Edwards put it this way: “Prayer is as natural an expression of faith as breathing is of life.”May this message encourage and challenge you to cry out to God for mercy, grace, and forgiveness.
