Chris Hall is back in South Africa visiting friends and family and Infanteria are set to be playing a one-off show on Friday 20 October 2023 at The Armchair Theatre supported by Halvar. They discuss the eventful history of the band, the adjustment of moving to the UK and much more... Infanteria is a three-piece Progressive South African / UK Thrash Metal Band formed in 2005 by Vocalist & Guitarist Chris Hall, and his brother Rob, Infanteria thrashed through the high school party years to release their 2013 debut ‘Isolated Existence'. The release saw Bassist Tim Leibbrandt join, propelling them to win the Wacken Metal Battle South Africa, affording them the opportunity to play Wacken Open Air alongside Rammstein, Motörhead, Meshuggah and more! Upon their return, they were direct support for Killswitch Engage and Trivium at Ramfest 2014. The following year, their sophomore album ‘Where Serpents Conquer' was released with Adrian Langeveld taking over Drums. Infanteria is now revitalised and ready to unleash ‘Patriarch', their long-awaited third album. A mature expansion on their previous releases, ‘Patriarch' shows the full development of their progressive metal sound from hardcore crossover runaways like ‘Embrace the Trauma' to rich sonic opuses like ‘Swansong'.
