Randy Wilkins is a three-time Emmy Award-winning director, cinematographer, and editor from the Bronx, NY. Shortly after receiving his B.A. in English from Franklin and Marshall College, Randy’s lifelong dream to play professional baseball was shattered after a significant injury. Under these tragic circumstances, he discovered a new passion: filmmaking. Befriending legendary filmmaker Spike Lee and by the director’s urging, Randy enrolled in NYU’s esteemed Tisch School of the Arts Graduate Film Program where he earned a chair’s fellowship and a Masters of Fine Arts in 2009. As a finalist in the ABFF/HBO Short Film Contest, Randy’s NYU thesis film, “Osvaldo’s,” earned an exclusive license agreement with HBO for broadcast as well as numerous awards and festival screenings. Professionally, Randy has been raised through the legendary Forty Acres and A Mule Filmworks beginning as an editorial intern on “Inside Man.” Randy has recently served as Lead Editor on Lee's joints including "Da Sweet Blood of Jesus," “Jesus Shuttlesworth” for ESPN, "The Greatest Catch" for ESPN, “Katt Williams Priceless” for HBO, "What Is The Triangle? In addition to his editing work, Randy earned two Emmys for his cinematography on the FOX 59 Promo "Indiana Made” and PIX 11 Promo “Lionel.”   As a director, Randy has enjoyed success with his award-winning digital series “Docket 32357.”  Wilkins is currently in post-production for Season Two of Docket, while in development for his first feature script “Pray for A Little More Spring.” Randy’s latest directorial effort is the ESPN 30 for 30/Lil’ Spike Joint “86-32” chronicling the controversial decision between Roy Jones Jr. and Park Si-Hun in the Light Middle-Heavyweight gold medal match at the 1988 Summer Olympics.    Work: Film: 86-32 - This film is a part of the Spike Lee Lil' Joint Series for ESPN. 86 - 32 is an ESPN 30 for 30 short focusing on 19-year-old boxing Olympian Roy Jones Jr and the harrowing lesson that all that glitters ain't gold.   Credits: Director - Randy Wilkins Executive Producer - Spike Lee Producer - Dena Greenbaum ESPN Producer - Marquis Daisy ESPN Associate Producer - Shaun Alperin DP - Grace Bach Editor - Ryan Demark Starring - Roy Jones, Teddy Atlas, Wallace Matthews and Nabate Isles   Web Series - Docket number 32357 In an eerily quiet courtroom hallway, Lois anxiously awaits the announcement of docket number 32357. As the two women grow more comfortable they realize their meeting is anything, but by chance. What the two women discover will change their lives moving forward. Abdullah Abu-Mahfouz graduated from Central Dauphin East High School in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania with some unfinished business. On Episode 294 of the Short Time Wrestling Podcast, we'll talk with Abu-Mahfouz about how he's finishing that business with a wrestling documentary film called Stand Up. Abu-Mahfouz follows his alma mater as a handful of wrestlers look to try to qualify for the Pennsylvania state tournament. In wrestling-rich District III, this isn't exactly an easy task, even for the district's most powerful programs. We'll breakdown how fans can check out the film, how the idea to do a documentary got started and understand how wrestling provided a sense of friendship for a Muslim-American in wrestling-rich Pennsylvania.
