Josh & Aaron recruit Alec to help solve a problem like Zack Snyder's Man of Steel. Thankfully Alec gives us the perfect solution, drinking. Will Libertarian Superman drive them insane ? Will they decide to watch more DCEU films? How many beers CAN you consume during Man of Steel? All these questions and more shall be answered.
EJ Moreno joins Allen, Gerald, and Lacey to defend Zack Snyder's Man of Steel. The 2013 reimagining of Superman at the hands of Christopher Nolan and David Goyer, filtered through a Snyder's lens is highly divisive, splitting critics and fans alike. This dynamic translates to here, as everyone very politely disagrees with one another.

Hi and welcome! This is the first episode of Stealing the Remote, a podcast where I make my mom watch whatever I want to! Please enjoy as I assess her complete lack of comics knowledge and introduce her to the world of DC Films through Zack Snyder's Man of Steel. She in turn teaches me things I never knew about pop culture during the decades I didn't live through, as well as kitchen appliances I hadn't heard of. Together we struggle to find the word "spandex." I hope you'll like this fresh perspective of a first-timer entering the world of comic book movies, albeit at gunpoint. Send in any questions or feedback you want us to discuss! All our social links can be found on stealingtheremote.com :) Don't forget to write a review on iTunes or Stitcher! In this messy show, Tom and Derrick looks at the rather epic levels of carnage in this year's summer blockbuster, and wonder if it's too much. Are we being desensitized to all this damage? Is it fair for Hollywood to call back to 9/11 for lazy affirmation of their plot developments? And why is Guillermo del Toro's Pacific Rim a more responsible film than Zack Snyder's Man of Steel? All this, plus the Superman sequel Tom really wants to see! You now you don't want to wander Tokyo carrying a red shoe, so get to clicking (and don't forget to Twitter us at @BITDShow)!

In the wake of Zack Snyder's Man of Steel film, Paul Montgomery, Conor Kilpatrick and Mike Romo look back a decade to another Superman origin story. In 2003, Mark Waid and Leinil Yu modernized the American myth of Krypton's last son in Superman: Birthright. What's changed? What remains the same? Warner Bros. has staked the entire future of their DC Comics Movieverse on Zack Snyder's Man of Steel, but did the film live up to expectations? How did it do at the box office? What else can we expect and are we closer to a Justice League film? Cinema Royale is joined by Brendon Connelly of Bleeding Cool and Rebecca Theodore-Vachon of Cinema In Noir to talk about the big screen future for Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, and more!
In anticipation of Zack Snyder's Man of Steel (which is presumably a prequel to the Shaquille O'Neal film) we've decided to devote our 100th episode to the Superman film franchise-- we rewatched Superman, Superman II, Superman III, Superman IV: The Quest for Peace, and Superman Returns. It was exhausting. Join us for this epic assessment of one of pop-culture's most enduring characters, from Marlon Brando's apathetic albino interpretation Jor-El, to solar-powered, half-naked Aryan body-builders, to magic Kryptonian kisses that work like ruffies. YOU'LL BELIEVE THREE MEN CAN SIT MOTIONLESS IN A ROOM AND TALK ABOUT MOVIES. Download the episode, or better yet, subscribe on Apple Podcasts! And be sure to follow us on Twitter! Welcome to Dark Discussions podcast. Your place for the discussion of horror film, fiction, and all that's fantastic. With 2012 behind us, the new year is brimming with plenty of upcoming genre films. Science fiction, fantasy, horror, superhero, remakes, sequels, indies, thrillers, re-imaginings and so much more are on the table. Dark Discussions gives their opinions on the first half of 2013 and what they expect of some of the more anticipated films to come. Remakes include Carrie and the Evil Dead. Sequels to be released are Iron Man 3, Kick Ass 2, Texas Chainsaw 3D, and the Last Exorcism Part 2. Re-imaginings of classics include Sam Raimi's Oz the Great and Powerful and Zack Snyder's Man of Steel. Other films comprise the Guillermo del Toro produced Mama, Stephanie Meyer's The Host, Don Coscarelli's John Dies at the End, Jet Li's The Sorcerer and the White Snake, the girl revenge film Black Rock, the thriller Now You See Me, the alien possession film Dark Skies, and the zombie comedy Warm Bodies. Some other huge budget films come out the first part of the year. They include M. Night Shyamalan's After Earth, Tom Cruise's science fiction thriller Oblivion, and J.J. Abrams' Star Trek Into Darkness. But some potentially good horror films too including Andrew Traucki's The Jungle and the anthology film The ABC's of Death are coming. Dark Discussions discusses these and others in this first part of a two part 2013 discussion of some of the most anticipated big budget and smaller genre films to come. As always we welcome your comments: darkdiscussions@aol.com (written email or attached mp3 files) WWW.DARKDISCUSSIONS.COM
