End of the year for my school and also the end of this school year’s shows.
By far my least favorite aspect of the show is MARKETING. I always feel like I’m begging for attention and with every post saying, “Look at me!”. This episode addresses why my social media presence bounces around and possibly what I’ve decided to do about it.

Marston Riley, 64, is a music teacher who taught at a California high school and was arrested Nov 2nd 2018 after a video captured him fighting with a student during class. Mr. Riley was taken into custody on “suspicion of child abuse and causing great bodily injury on a child". Since being arrested a Go Fund Me campaign was started in his name and to this date has raised $168,000. Episode 42: Morning Meetings Morning Meeting is an engaging way to start each day, build a strong sense of community, and set children up for success socially and academically. Each morning, students and teachers gather together in a circle for twenty to thirty minutes and interact with one another during four purposeful components: Greeting: Students and teachers greet one other by name. Sharing: Students share information about important events in their lives. Listeners often offer empathetic comments or ask clarifying questions. Group Activity: Everyone participates in a brief, lively activity that fosters group cohesion and helps students practice social and academic skills (for example, reciting a poem, dancing, singing, or playing a game). Morning Message: Students read and interact with a short message written by their teacher. The message is crafted to help students focus on the work they’ll do in school that day.

Episode 40 - 5 Tips to Feel Healthier At School We all have our good days and our bad days. The trick is to find a way to maximize the good days by turning potential bad ones around. Here are 5 tips to help you with just that. You're Welcome!! Tip 1) Get more sleep - Really consider what your evening looks like and if the balance between staying up late is worth the potential added exhaustion tomorrow. Tip 2) Change your diet - I'm not referring to a complete overall of your diet but a great start is what you are having (or not having) for breakfast. That giant cup of frozen desert you're calling coffee needs to stop. Tip 3) Teach your students to be polite - It's a valuable life skill that unfortunately many students are missing out on learning at home. Start teaching it in your classroom and you'll learn what studies have already proven numerous time. Tip 4) Stop venting to others at school - We all do it and YES it is healthy for you. It also creates huge problems both at school and for your daily mindset and emotions. Tip 5) Stay away from negative people - They are like a sponge and will suck you into their black cloud if you allow it.
