Remember back in the years BCP (Before Coronavirus Pandemic) when you could just go places? Like you pack up all your cute holiday clothes grab some friends and head to Paris or Tokyo or the mountains or the beach (god forbid) and like do stuff your wouldn't do at home. Once upon a time this activity was called travelling, and Brigitta and Andrea used to do it all the time.Reminisce with them as they discuss the dos and don'ts of travel, where they dream of going to next, and the perils of being a vegetarian pretty much everywhere.Thoughts and prayers for all who dream of travelling - it's going to be a while.

It took about 36 years, but 2020 has finally come and gone. Maybe not quite the start to the Roaring 2020's we had imagined...Was there anything good that happened in 2020?! I mean obviously the answer is no, but we definitely watched a lot of TV. And by a lot, we mean a gargantuan amount. Listen as Brigitta and Andrea recount the story of a billionaire who got too big for his boots and decided cloning dinosaurs was somehow a good idea. Billionaires, am I right? Enjoy as they discuss the differences between the books and the movies, and also how humanity is evil and you don't need chaos theory to explain that Ian Malcolm, it is just good common sense.Oh and you will particularly enjoy how Brigitta tries to remember what Sheridan has previously told her about Jurassic Park, can't figure out which Jurassic Park she is talking about, and then forgets to mention that a T Rex gets out at the end of Jurassic Park II and reigns terror all over San Diego, and that doesn't happen in the book, and really after that happens it is pretty impossible to believe dinosaur cloning would ever we allowed again. Andrea also has no idea what is going on. But you know, other than that we covered pretty much everything...

Another episode about the Royal Family?! Well, kind of. This 'not-a-documentary' (thanks British government, we were not confused) is one of Netflix's most elite and critically series. Does it deserve the hype? Could this show be kind of boring...but in a good way? What does this have to do with West Wing? And what Diana sweater does Brigitta want? Listen as Brigitta and Andrea dig into The Crown!

While we are all home alone for the holidays, why don't we watch a movie about being home alone for the holidays?Is Home Alone the fun family Christmas movie you remember, or is Kevin McCallister the real bad guy in this story? Surely there are no Star Wars movies left after these three... Now that we have done the original trilogy and the prequel trilogy, it is time to tackle the sequel trilogy of the Skywalker Saga (that's Star Wars for those of you that haven't read the Wikipedia page). What will Andrea and Brigitta make of The Force Awakens, The Last Jedi, and The Rise of Skywalker? Will they care that there is very little continuity across the trilogy, or simply chalk that up to Star Wars being Star Wars? Will they hate the random casino bits, or are they fans of intergalactic gambling? This episode was recorded before the current Black Lives Matter movement started and spread all over the world. We discuss a book written about a white man with no non-white characters (obviously because it is a book people are welcome to imagine the characters as they please, but come on, they are all written to be white) with undertones of racism and anti-antisemitism and gloss over that issue almost entirely.We recognize our privilege in our failure to discuss this topic more in depth.Certainly, when it comes to the theme of the "American Dream", my (Andrea) perception of it has certainly shifted from skeptical to a wider understanding of who it can actually be achieved by and the deeply false promise it makes to certain people (Brigitta has always been unbelieving in the American Dream and achieving anything through capitalism).F. Scott Fitzgerald seemed to be ahead of his time in his criticism of the American Dream, and as we all as a society are hopefully taking steps back to examine our future and how it is structured, maybe we can remember that these issues have been persistent throughout history and across countries.

Oh the notorious prequels... The bane of most Star Wars fans' existence, and certainly not considered George Lucas's finest hour.But are they really all that bad?That is the question we ask ourselves this episode, along with several open ended WHYYYYY???????? type questions directed towards a long time ago in a galaxy far far away.
