Hey, we got a swap! Also, Jeff rapped for some reason but we don't talk about it for some reason on the podcast, but I do want it noted, for the record, that Jeff Probst threw down a zesty beat. Thank you for your time.

Profile This, TV Time with Ted and Headlines!
Here comes the snow!!! We're seeing reports of 8-12 inches on Sunday before a high of just 19° on Monday. WTF? Thankfully, it looks like 52° by next Thursday, so it should all melt quickly. We started the show with the Thursday Song and we talked to Office Cora to see what she's up to in the 715 this weekend since she's recovered from her illness last week. In sports, the Bucks are in Miami tonight to take on the Heat, results of yesterday's Big Ten basketball action and a look at today's schedule, Team USA advances to in the World Baseball Classic, and the scores from yesterday's Big Ten men's hockey tourney. We had stories about priests behaving badly, including one who was stealing baseball cards from a Walmart, and an update on the priest who was embezzling money from his own parish. Elsewhere in the news, a new game from the Wordle people to keep you occupied in the morning, and a fun website to waste some time later today. Plus, the outcome of the wife-carrying championships in the UK, and a bunch of terrible grades for Buc-ee's stations. Also in sports this morning, an update on free agency in the NFL, Alex Bowman is going to miss another NASCAR race due to vertigo, we might be seeing an NFL game on Thanksgiving eve this year, Jonathan Davis of KORN is going to be the grand marshal at this weekend's NASCAR race, and an incredible goal from Colin Dorgan. We talked about what's on TV today/tonight. Also talked about Jeff Probst "rapping" on last night's episode of Survivor, and Kelly Clarkson admitting that even though she won American Idol Season One, she never actually received the car or the cash that was promised. Crazy story about a 19 year-old pilot who had to make an emergency landing on a highway in Florida and got an assist from a guy in a pickup truck. And check out this severely neglected pooch who got some much-needed help at an animal rescue in Minnesota and is now living her best life! We asked each other Hypothetical Questions today and Brian's question for Jean was: "Would you rather be able to speak all human languages or be able to speak to animals?" Meanwhile, Jean's question for Brian was: "Would you rather go 100 years into the future or 100 years into the past?" And in today's edition of "Bad News with Happy Music", we had stories about a woman who just won a bunch of money in a lawsuit after her boss kept calling her "potato", a kickboxer in the UK who just pulled a 4,000lb car over 160 feet with his junk, a couple of women in Texas who were trying to drop some contraband into a prison using drones, and a #FloridaMan who got a bunch of lap dances & tried to skip out on the payments.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

A comentar estrategia, errores y traiciones. Y a vivir Survivor 50 como lo que es: un evento televisivo histórico. Todo, por supuesto… in the hands of Jeff Probst.

Survivor 50 Premiere Mailbag Rob Cesternino and Brandon Donlon open the mailbag to break down the Survivor 50 premiere, responding to listener questions and early reactions following the milestone return. With fan enthusiasm at a recent high, they discuss why the premiere landed so strongly and how tempered expectations may have contributed to its positive reception A major focus of the episode is the absence of the On Fire podcast for Season 50. Rob and Brandon explain Jeff Probst's decision to place the official podcast on hiatus, analyze the reasoning behind “not pulling back the curtain,” and debate whether skipping supplemental content makes sense for a celebratory season built on nostalgia and long-term investment. They dig into early gameplay questions, including whether returning winners are in immediate danger, why certain players avoided early scrutiny, and how pregame reputations influenced first-episode dynamics. The discussion touches on Savannah's quiet positioning, Jenna Lewis' early struggles, and how social grouping formed quickly despite limited gameplay. Rob and Brandon also examine production choices, including lost votes, journeys, and advantages, questioning which twists add meaningful strategy versus unnecessary friction. The Billie Eilish Boomerang Idol receives special attention, with analysis of how it works, why Genevieve's decision to send it to Ozzy matters, and how secrecy around its mechanics could impact future rounds. The episode closes with broader reflections on nostalgia, casting chemistry, and why Survivor 50 feels fundamentally different from recent seasons. With a mix of audience questions, strategic evaluation, and franchise-level discussion, the mailbag sets the tone for how RHAP will approach coverage throughout the season. 0:00 Survivor 50 Premiere Mailbag Begins 06:10 On Fire Podcast Officially on Hiatus 13:02 Cirie's Safety First Vote Discussed 20:15 Ozzy vs. Coach: Rivalry Develops 27:15 Which Tribe Would Rob Join? 30:29 Colby and Rizzo's Island Dynamic 38:12 Amanda Kimmel Almost Replaced Aubry 46:02 Multiple Billie Eilish Idols Theorized 54:13 Sending Idol to Ozzy Debated 58:07 Should Ozzy Know Idol Sender? 1:06:21 Ranking This Premiere Among All 1:09:20 Should Physical Challenges Be Retired? 1:21:18 Casting Old School vs New School 1:33:32 Influencers and Survivor's Future Casting 1:35:52 Who's In Trouble Next Vote? 1:42:15 Survivor 50 Housekeeping and Announcements To pre-order Rob’s book, The Tribe and I Have Spoken, visit www.robhasabook.com Never miss a minute of RHAP's extensive Survivor coverage! They’ve cha cha’d across the ballroom and been faithful in a castle, but can Will & Rider outwit, outplay and outlast as they take the challenge of Survivor season 50? Will’s ONLY seen the inaugural season, 26 years ago, but Rider is a longtime diehard, so could either of our hosts actually last for 20 days on the island?? Either way, Rider fills in Will on what he’s missed over the past 49 seasons, while they both give flowers to a true master of the hosting craft: Jeff Probst. And they can’t tackle a 3-hour premiere with just one episode, so don’t miss the second part of the first Pod Meets Twirl’d Seeking Immunity, because the tribe has spoken!See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Rizo Velovic & Stephenie LaGrossa Kendrick Survivor 50 Preseason Interviews Mike Bloom (@AMikeBloomType) is here to chat to the cast of Survivor 50! Join us to hear from your favorite returning Survivor players! Today, Mike Bloom brings together a special Vatu tribe duo for an in-depth round of preseason interviews. In this milestone episode, Mike sits down with returning Survivor 49 standout Rizo Velovic and legendary veteran Stephenie LaGrossa Kendrick to explore how new-school energy collides with old-school experience, all while strategists and super fans gear up for an epic season. Survivor 50's anticipation becomes even more intense as Rizo grapples with the notoriety of being the infamous “Riz God” and Stephenie reflects on her return to the game after more than a decade away. The discussion opens with Rizo sharing his whirlwind journey—playing Survivor 49, getting pulled aside by Jeff Probst just hours before leaving Fiji, and learning he's in for back-to-back seasons. Rizo talks openly about carrying the “Riz God” persona into Survivor 50 and his calculated read on how cast perception shapes his target level. He breaks down the division between old-school and new-school players, explaining why he feels safer aligning with Survivor's original legends over modern contestants who are deeply interconnected and more likely to view him as a threat. In the “Friend or Foe” game, Rizo offers rapid-fire takes on castaways, revealing his read on potential allies, rivals, and how he hopes to become “The Prodigy” under Coach's mentorship. On the flip side, Stephenie shares emotional stories from her years away—retiring from reality TV for family, overcoming personal loss, and what motivates her Survivor comeback. She considers her original reputation, lessons learned on Snake in the Grass and The Traitors, and her plan to build genuine bonds while dodging the threat radar. Both Rizo and Stephenie analyze the tribe's dynamics, assess loyalty, spotlight connections, and weigh who could shield them from an early exit. Rizo's strategy as the youngest contestant and navigating his “Riz God” identity The divide between old-schoolers and new-era players, and why Rizo prefers to work with Survivor legends Stephenie's return after years away and her plan to blend in, stay loyal, and play for her family Hints about pregame connections, potential alliances, and which players stand out as immediate threats or trusted allies Highlights from the “Friend or Foe” game—Rizo's picks for key alliances, who could be targeted first, and who both guests would bring back for Survivor 50 As Survivor 50 gets closer, will Rizo's superfan energy and calculated alliances help or hurt his chances? Can Stephenie prove she’s still a force or will her legendary status make her an early target? Michael Malice (“YOUR WELCOME”) welcomes author and multi-season Survivor contestant, Stephen Fishbach, onto the show to discuss what drives our human fascination with emotional voyeurism, how fame is viewed from the lens of a reality tv contestant, and why being in front of a camera can train you to be a good liar and gas-lighter. On this Outlast Podcast, We break down Survivor 49, Episode 10, “Huge Dose of Bamboozle.” We dig into how the core trio continues to run the game like an old school alliance, why Rizzo's fake idol play might be the moment he tips into overconfidence, and how Savannah's extra vote turns tribal council into a brutal blindside. We also spend time on Christina's emotional journey, from opening up about her mom's passing with Jeff at the challenge to pushing through a brutal balance beam that tests her physically and mentally. From there, we talk about Sophie's immunity win, the shifting target on Savannah and Steven, and how everyone's “resume” is starting to define who feels safe and who should be terrified. To wrap up, we look ahead to what the preview sets up for Sophie and Sage, touch on the “On Fire” podcast reactions, and call out some wild fake news floating around Survivor Facebook about Mike White.00:00 – 02:00Thanksgiving talk, family Survivor chat, and why this season feels different from last season's Joe and Ava storyline.02:00 – 06:30The trio's dominance, Rizzo's fake idol performance at tribal, and whether he's slipping into dangerous overconfidence.06:30 – 11:30Christina's grief, Jeff asking her to talk about her mom, and how Survivor has shifted into a more compassionate, human-focused show.11:30 – 17:30Reward challenge at the Sanctuary: burgers, hot dogs, chocolate cake, wild new obstacles, and Christina's huge moment on the balance beam.17:30 – 21:30Hunger, exhaustion, and how gaunt everyone looks back at camp; Rizzo's guilt, Joanne trying to keep morale up, and the emotional wall the cast is hitting.21:30 – 26:00Immunity challenge breakdown, the rice offer, why nobody is taking food deals in the new era, and how the 26-day game can still feel harsher than the old 39-day format.26:00 – 30:30Idols and advantages everywhere: flushing Christina and Rizzo's power, Savannah's extra vote, and whether Sophie should flip to a new alliance while playing to the jury.30:30 – 35:30Tribal council fireworks: Rizzo's fake idol show, Christina playing her real idol for Steven, Savannah's extra vote, and Joanne's blindside exit.35:30 – 37:30Next-episode preview, favorite winner picks (Sophie and Christina), Facebook fake news about Mike White, “On Fire” takeaways, and closing thoughts.Christina's grief over her mom adds real emotional weight to the episode, especially during her conversation with Jeff and her grind through the reward challenge.Sophie goes from under-edited to essential, winning immunity and sliding into a key strategic position between the trio and the floaters.Savannah's extra vote is used perfectly to flip the script at tribal and send Joanne home in a clean blindside. The shortened 26-day era is still brutal, with players visibly starving and emotionally raw by the back half of the game.Trust is crumbling everywhere: idols are hidden, information is weaponized, and even close allies openly talk about blindsides as “expected.”Social media and “On Fire” with Jeff Probst are now part of the meta-game, shaping how fans and even players look at moves like Rizzo's fake idol and the rice offers.“You have to assume a lot of people are lying. Even in your alliance, you can't take anything at face value this deep in the game.”“Some of the best Survivor moments are when someone everyone doubts digs in and proves they belong in that challenge.”“If everything feels too good to be true at tribal, you should probably expect a blindside.”“Christina might not win, but getting to the end with that story would still be huge.”“The trio is so confident in their control that they're putting on a show for the jury while everyone else is just trying to survive.”Stay connected with Outlast and the Geek Freaks Network:Outlast on Twitter: @OutlastPodcast1
