God's words have taught us to guide our hearts diligently because out of it are the issues of life, and out of the abundance of our hearts our mouths speaketh. (see Proverbs 4 VS23-24 ; Luke 6 vs 45)

Greater understanding comes from experience, in this case, the pain felt by a person can only be understood by a person who has gone through a similar situation. Your own experience can influence your sensitivity to certain conditions.

failure is one thing, the other thing is to overcome and be ready to beat the next thing.

The feeling of jealousy can be a good push for healthy competition if processed correctly.
