This week, Dudley brings us his monthly message, “Power In The Name”. In it he explores the true meaning of Gospel preaching and why the message preached by Jesus and the apostles is far bigger than many modern Christians realize. Through careful teaching from Acts and the New Testament, he unpacks how Jesus is King, how the Kingdom of God was inaugurated through Christ, and why Apostolic preaching always centered on fulfillment, repentance, and the authority of Jesus.Dudley revisits the Pentecost sermon and Peter's message in Acts 3, showing how Old Testament Prophecy pointed directly to Christ as the fulfillment of Israel's story and the hope of the world. He also challenges common reductions of the gospel to religion, church tradition, or simply “going to heaven,” calling believers back to the power and fullness of the biblical gospel. This conversation invites believers to Repent, rediscover the Gospel of the Kingdom, and live in the transforming power, hope, and restoration found in Jesus Christ. We pray this message will encourage, challenge, and transform. As always, we invite you to share it with someone who needs it. In the Gospel of Mark 16:9–20, even with its textual complexity, we see a clear message: Jesus Christ is risen, He appears to His followers, and He sends them out with both a mission and His power. While the passage includes signs that may feel unusual, the heart of it is that there is authority in Jesus' name over fear, evil, and anything that tries to hold us captive. Because of the resurrection, we don't have to live bound by fear, guilt, or uncertainty—we are free to live with hope, courage, and joy, trusting that if even death could not defeat Christ, then nothing we face has the final word.Join us for our daily reflections with Andy. In 10 short minutes, he'll dig a little deeper into Scripture and help you better understand God's Word. You can read today's passage here - https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Mark%2016%3A%209-20&version=NRSVUEClick here if you'd like to join our GroupMe and receive this each morning at 7:00 a.m. CST. - https://groupme.com/join_group/107837407/vtYqtb6CSubscribe through Spotify - https://open.spotify.com/show/2e9rjDSwcdX6ZsZhSasBMKSubscribe through Apple Podcasts - https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/andy-talks/id1313107515
A man who had been unable to walk since birth sat daily at the temple gate, asking for help from those passing by. When Peter and John encountered him, they didn't offer money—they offered something far greater. In the authority of Jesus' name, they commanded him to rise and walk, and instantly strength filled his legs. What had been impossible for a lifetime changed in a single moment through the power of Christ. This message highlights the authority believers have in the name of Jesus and how that power brings real transformation. The miracle drew a crowd and became an opportunity to point people back to Jesus as the source of healing and restoration. When faith is placed in His name, lives change and God receives the glory.
In Acts 3:1–10, Peter and John encounter a man who has been lame since birth, begging at the temple gate. Instead of giving money, Peter offers something greater: “In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk.” The man is instantly healed, revealing the power and authority of Jesus at work through ordinary people. This message explores how Acts continues the ministry of Jesus—proclaiming the Kingdom, healing the sick, and bringing restoration. Looking at Peter's journey—from fisherman to disciple, from failure to restoration, and finally Spirit-empowered at Pentecost—we see how God forms ordinary people to carry His name into places of pain. The invitation for the church today is simple:Notice the pain. Carry the name of Jesus. Take the risk of faith.A Spirit-filled church isn't a perfect church—it's a courageous one, willing to show up and trust God with the outcome.

Discover how calling on the name of Jesus brings healing, restoration, boldness, and transformation. I greet you in Jesus' precious Name! It is Thursday morning, the 11th of December, 2025, and this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for today. We start in the Gospel of Matthew 16:16: Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” Then we go to Mark 8:29: “Peter answered and said to Him, “You are the Christ.” We go to Matthew 1:23“Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.” It's all in the Name. It is the most powerful Name in the universe! The only time the people wanted to stone Jesus wasn't because he was healing the sick, raising the dead, opening blind eyes, restoring the cripples, delivering people from leprosy and all kinds of diseases. No, no! They were happy with that, but when He said, ”I am who I am.” When He said, ”I am God made flesh.” Then they wanted to stone Him and nothing has changed. Even as I am recording this message early in the morning, there are people in the world who are being martyred, not for stealing, not for murdering, not for raping, not for plundering, but because we say Jesus is God. It's using that Name!People are being put in jail, as I'm talking to you now, because they have been found in possession of a Bible on them. Why? Because the devil hates God and the devil hates God's people, but the good news is, when you and I use that Name, and I've done it all my life, there is power in the Name. I have seen the Lord with my own eyes, and I have many witnesses of the weather changing because we pray in that Name. I have seen sick people healed because we have said, ”In the Name of Jesus Christ, be healed!” Today, do not be ashamed of the Gospel of Christ because that is where the power is. We are not in any way to apologise for our faith to anybody. When you use the Name God, no one is offended because God is who you presume Him to be. Maybe you worship the trees, maybe you worship some idol, some foreign god, but when you use the Name which is above every other Name, then all the demons in hell hate to hear that Name, but that is where the power is!Today and this Christmas season, let us worship Immanuel, God with us. That little baby, in that manger in Bethlehem, came down from heaven to earth to save you and me.Jesus bless you and have a wonderful day.Goodbye.

There is Power in the Name of Jesus
Andy grew up in New Orleans in a Cuban family where Santería and witchcraft were part of life. Introduced to dark spiritual practices by his uncle — and later deepening that darkness in prison through a cellmate — Andy's life spiraled into addiction, violence, and bondage. But in the middle of his brokenness, he encountered the true power of Jesus Christ. What no ritual or spirit could do, Jesus did in an instant — breaking every chain of Santería, delivering Andy from demonic oppression, and calling him into a new life of freedom and purpose. Today, he's a pastor leading others out of darkness into the light of Christ.Watch Pastor Andy's Salvation Testimony here ⇨ https://youtu.be/mOz-dxseQXUSupport our channel & Become a Partner ⇨ https://www.missiondelafe.org/ Listen on Podcast Spotify Podcast ⇨ https://spoti.fi/3RBKdq3Apple Podcast ⇨ https://apple.co/3evzCuuConnect with ushttps://www.facebook.com/delafetestimonieshttps://www.instagram.com/delafetestimonies/Connect with Ander:Linktree ⇨ https://linktr.ee/AndyRebirthWebsite ⇨ http://www.oneaccordministries.net/Email ⇨ bookpastorandyrebirth@gmail.comCredits:Testimony by Ander Pellerano JrDirected by Darvin RamirezInterviewed by Jenifer LopezEdited By Darvin RamirezAudio Mixed by Paul Nicholas Testimony Recorded in New Orleans, LouisianaDelafé Testimonies is a global evangelistic project with the mission of creating the world's largest archive of Jesus testimonies until His return. Our hearts are so tender after the last two weeks and yours probably is, too. We recently spoke at the "Rooted and Rising" event with our dear friend Susannah Lewis and loved being with those precious ladies (it was so fun seeing several of our listeners there!) In this episode, we continue that conversation including what the Lord is teaching us and what we are constantly being convicted of. As always, we hope that with each and every episode, you will find us talking about Jesus while also learning, being challenged, and growing together while loving and laughing about what makes up our everyday lives. We are so thankful Jesus is right there with us in the middle of it all. Watch "Rooted and Rising" on Facebook here Each episode is recorded on the campus of Union University! Big Idea: The name of Jesus brings healing, truth, and salvation. 1. The name of Jesus brings healing for the broken (v.1-10) 2. The name of Jesus brings truth for the ignorant (v.11-18) 3. The name of Jesus brings salvation and refreshment (v.19-26) Discussion Questions: 1. What does it mean to act or pray “in the name of Jesus”? 2. How does the healing of the lame man demonstrate the gospel message—not just physically but spiritually? 3. Peter confronts the people's ignorance and calls them to repentance (vv. 17–19). Why is willful ignorance so dangerous? 4. What kind of “refreshing” does repentance bring (v. 20)?

In this message, Noel Jesse Hakenen reflects on the struggle many of us face when trying to hear from God. Drawing from Exodus 6, he explores why it can feel difficult to connect with God, even when we believe in His power and presence. Noel highlights the internal brokenness and external circumstances that often block us from hearing God's voice and how we tend to rely on ourselves instead of trusting in Him. He emphasizes that only through Jesus can we find redemption, healing, and a restored relationship with God.Read: Exodus 6:2-7:7Subscribe to AfterWords on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or wherever you listen to podcasts.Download a copy of the Exodus JournalVisit us online: rivchurch.comFollow us on InstagramSend us feedback: podcast@rivchurch.com
