The conclusive and powerful Part 2 of The Latter House Lessons series. A moving reminder of GOD's promise that "The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former..." (Haggai 2:9[a]) This is a glory that we have never experienced before; a glory seeded in sons and daughters, believed to be forsaken and lost for good; a glory revealed through a shaking of Heaven and Earth, and appointed to be an eternal excellency! It is this glory that GOD is calling us -- Zerubbabel; a Church born-again out of a modern, pandemic Babylon -- to build a house for: The House for All the Glory in the World!______________________________________Taught on February 5, 2023 for Zion Pentecostal Church of Christ's (Cleveland, Ohio) Cornerstone Sunday School Class.
This dynamic and stirring lesson is Part 1 of a two-part series on the prophetic utterances, urgency, and promises of the Book of Haggai. All of which, provide us with GOD's direction on what we must do NOW -- and that is: Go Up and Build the Latter House! When a time of Divine shaking and visitation is imminent; when sacred assignments sit unfinished; when it seems our wind has been taken out of us... then GOD speaks this kind of word! To stir up our spirits and revive our strength. It is time now... time to build again!______________________________________Taught on January 29, 2023 for Zion Pentecostal Church of Christ's (Cleveland, Ohio) Cornerstone Sunday School Class.
A deeply impassioned and exhortative teaching on the power and necessity of believing GOD unto the end. For "...without faith it is impossible to please Him" -- impossible to bring GOD to satisfaction, and ourselves to perfection. Our faith must endure. As discussed here, faith (Gk. 'pistis') refers to our persuasion; our conviction about the faithfulness of GOD, His word, His plan, and His promises. Even when our lives and the many voices around us seem to say otherwise, we must be persuaded that He simply cannot fail and He cannot lie! And therefore, He will finish what He started in us. This is Enduring Faith!______________________________________Taught on October 19, 2022 for Zion Pentecostal Church of Christ's (Cleveland, Ohio), Evening Bible Class (via Zoom).
Simply life-changing.This teaching is pure empowerment, affirmation, restoration, and release! A lesson that will not only push and encourage you, but teach you how to stop disqualifying yourself and embrace Who you are divinely elected to be!There is perhaps nothing on earth more fortifying, justifying, and liberating of a human being than the choice of GOD. GOD's choice -- of you and me -- trumps our every fault, failure, weakness and fear, the opposition of our enemies, and even the assessment of our friends.GOD knows, better than we do, who we truly are. He knows why He called us; why He made us; and why we are the one!Surely there is a cause, and a moment in the purpose of GOD that only you can meet. You are the choice of GOD. NOW... embrace your election!______________________________________Taught on September 4, 2022 for Zion Pentecostal Church of Christ's (Cleveland, Ohio) "Cornerstone" Adult Sunday School class, via Zoom.
Through a careful and contemplative examination of the epistle, Ephesians, this teaching sets in focus the excellence, majesty, and matchless brilliance of GOD, and GOD alone. Here is Apostolic Theology -- the study of GOD and Divine things, understood and presented through an Apostolic lens, and thus, emphasizing the Oneness of GOD, His eternal Word made flesh, the Sonship and Lordship of Christ Jesus, and the significance of all in the context of GOD's dream for our salvation.GOD of Ephesians, is revealed as...The Source and Possessor of the supreme will. The Source and Extender of grace. The Orchestrator of our forgiveness, adoption, blessing, and acceptance. The GOD and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. The Executive of our calling and inheritance. The Workman of our salvation. The Keeper of the mystery, and Releaser of the ministry. The ONE Who works presently and mightily in us.The ONE to Whom all the glory, praise, honor, and worship belongs. He is GOD, and there is none like Him!______________________________________Taught on June 26, 2022 for Zion Pentecostal Church of Christ's (Cleveland, Ohio) "Cornerstone" Adult Sunday School class, via Zoom.
This inspired teaching presents a dynamic and defining profile of the very essence of sacred praise. It is a passionately painted portrait, revealing the point of praise, its place in the life of each believer, and it's supernatural power to glorify our Sovereign, defend our sound mind, and deliver our soul!Oh that men would praise the LORD... (Psalm 107:8) -- that we would comprehend its power, and apply its principles, and acknowledge the One Who is worthy of it all!Prepare to discover your praise!______________________________________Taught on July 24, 2022 for Zion Pentecostal Church of Christ's (Cleveland, Ohio) Cornerstone Sunday School Class, via Zoom.
Part 2 of this insightful teaching carries on in liberating truth to a powerful finish!A focused examination of the burdens of 1) Over-Intellectualism -- 2) Prosperity -- and 3) Self-Righteousness, helps us to identify and understand these unique dangers and threats to both our entrance and progress in the Kingdom of GOD. Not only must we be aware of these and other heavy burdens, we must also comprehend how to lift them, through Surrender, Exchange, and Service. Now, hear the conclusion of this matter:Let GOD be GOD; You be His Son; and Walk--unburdened--in the Glory appointed unto you!______________________________________Taught on December 5, 2021 for Zion Pentecostal Church of Christ's (Cleveland, Ohio) Cornerstone Sunday School Class, via Zoom.
This revealing two-part teaching is a powerful lesson on Spiritual liberation. GOD never intended for mankind to live under heavy burdens. He created us innocent and in His image; naked and without shame; carrying only dominion, glory, and honor. It is imperative that we remember this, and fully embrace the easy yoke and light burden of our Lord Jesus Christ. In order to run and finish the race that is set before us, we must lay aside every weight that GOD has not appointed us to bear. We must trust that His imagination and dream of us is good and perfect. We must learn to surrender and yield to Him in all things, so that we may find peace, joy, and rest for our souls.Let this lesson teach and inspire you to lift those burdens off of your shoulder -- and cast all your care upon the Lord, for He cares for you!______________________________________Taught on November 28, 2021 for Zion Pentecostal Church of Christ's (Cleveland, Ohio) Cornerstone Sunday School Class, via Zoom.
This authentic, personal, and spirit-stirring teaching offers us an empowering reminder that we must never cast away our confidence, neglect our calling, or make small the significance of the Saints (the people of GOD). For our Lord, the Lamb, has made us kings and priests unto our GOD, and we shall reign on the earth. And this, we must do!In order that He might use us to influence, impact, illuminate, and intercede in every facet of human life, GOD has appointed to us a holy priesthood; an essential earthly ministry to perform in the Name of Jesus and in the power of His Kingdom. And for this priesthood, He has clothed us with holy, spiritual garments, that we would be fortified to carry souls to Him upon our shoulders, and to carry light from Him into all the world. Now, is our sacred time of ministry in the priests' office. Now, is our season to fulfill this priestly, sacred calling in secular places...And we are clothed for this!______________________________________Taught on March 6, 2022 for Zion Pentecostal Church of Christ's (Cleveland, Ohio) Cornerstone Sunday School Class, via Zoom.
A stirring and anointed impartation, this lesson discusses the unique and unprecedented access Jesus has given the entire world--all people... including you--to the raw power, presence, and promises of GOD. It is the access of a sacred hour, which Jesus said (in John chapter 4), "Now is."Jesus Christ is indeed, The Messiah, who was to come. He is Son of the Living GOD -- the Savior of the world -- the Way, the Truth, and the Life. His birth and ministry to the world, brought the world into an hour of unobstructed access to GOD and His Kingdom.Jesus removed the veil.Jesus broke down the wall of partition.Jesus opened the door to our prepared place in His (and our) Father's house. Now, it is time for you to seize the access of this hour! Power, truth, life, revelation, resurrection, miracles, blessing, and breakthrough are fully within your reach -- because of Jesus, your Messiah. Capture your time with Him!______________________________________Taught on March 7, 2021 for Zion Pentecostal Church of Christ's (Cleveland, Ohio) "Cornerstone" Adult Sunday School class, via Zoom.
This profound and poignant teaching sets before us the immense significance and necessity of prophetic perspective, as we navigate this extraordinary time and the purpose of GOD which has appointed it. To define it, Prophetic Perspective is our divinely inspired capacity to see our life through the eyes of GOD, and to process our experiences through the lens of GOD's providence.Without this perspective, we have no alternative but to be confounded in and by our existence, trying to navigate a life of divine purpose, with only the instincts of our limited human nature and intellect. In a time like this -- a time of the pandemic yoke of Coronavirus -- and more importantly, the time beyond the yoke (into which GOD has delivered us), we must be able to see and process what we are going through with sight from GOD. In order to navigate correctly through and beyond this time, we must receive and engage the capacity of prophetic perspective to comprehend why GOD brought us here, understand what were appointed to learn, and embrace what we are now anointed to do... next.It is now time to process, proceed, and return from the wilderness. ______________________________________Taught on July 21, 2021 for Zion Pentecostal Church of Christ's (Cleveland, Ohio) Evening Bible Study, via Zoom.
An inspiring and crowning conclusion to the "Apostolic Doctrine" series, this dynamic teaching helps to answer the critical question, "Where do we go from here?" After we receive impartation of the doctrine, what are we to do with it? How, where, and to what end are we to minister it's transformational power? We find the answer in our Lord's commission -- we are to go into all the world. We are to go into apostolic ministry. We are to reconcile and recapture mankind to the Word Which was with GOD in the beginning. And to do this, we must see Jesus, the Son of GOD.The lesson also includes a meticulous and eye-opening examination of John 1:1, carefully considering it's unique language, subtle distinctions, and revealing introduction of the Word -- Which was with GOD; Which was made flesh; Which holds and declares the very meaning of man, born of GOD's imagination.______________________________________Taught on May 9, 2021 for Zion Pentecostal Church of Christ's (Cleveland, Ohio) "Cornerstone" Adult Sunday School class, via Zoom.
This fourth teaching in the "Apostolic Doctrine" series provides an in-depth and explanatory examination of Romans 10:9, highlighting both its contextual references to Old Testament Scripture and its significant congruence with Acts 2:38. The distinctions between salvation "out of" and salvation "into" -- exiting bondage versus entering life -- being delivered from self-righteousness versus being born into GOD's Kingdom, are all carefully explained and made clear through accurate (and refreshing) Biblical consideration. All apparent contradiction in the doctrine can be resolved through consideration of context, sincere and humble study, and the help of the Holy Ghost. ______________________________________Taught on May 2, 2021 for Zion Pentecostal Church of Christ's (Cleveland, Ohio) "Cornerstone" Adult Sunday School class, via Zoom.
This third segment of the "Apostolic Doctrine" series sets in focus, the significance and power of the Name of Jesus. Both prevalent and prominent throughout the apostles' ministry is their continuous, convicted utterance of Jesus' Name. In preaching, in performing miracles, in casting out devils, and in the baptism of new believers, they made abundantly clear that the authority and power of their ministry rested solely in His Name.In addition, illuminating the "apostolic answer" given in The Acts 2:38, the lesson provides clarity to the important distinction between demonstrated obedience to the Gospel and the notion of salvation by works. ______________________________________Taught on April 25, 2021 for Zion Pentecostal Church of Christ's (Cleveland, Ohio) "Cornerstone" Adult Sunday School class, via Zoom.
This second teaching in the series, "Apostolic Doctrine," continues with a careful and revealing examination of Matthew 28:18-19. The words of Jesus, recorded in these verses, place in focus the profound dimensionality of the Name (or authority) of GOD, manifest through His work of salvation.Commissioning His apostles into worldwide ministry, Jesus sends them forth with a lesson about power. His words are focused not upon the nature of GOD, but on His power. And thus, as the apostles go to preach, teach, baptize, and make disciples, He teaches them to do so in His power and authority -- the Name of JESUS. Such, being now all-encompassing of the Name (or authority) of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost, as now all authority in Heaven and Earth has been given unto Him!______________________________________Taught on April 18, 2021 for Zion Pentecostal Church of Christ's (Cleveland, Ohio) "Cornerstone" Adult Sunday School class, via Zoom.
This lesson is the first and introductory teaching in an in-depth series on Apostolic Doctrine. These lessons will carefully examine the mantle and ministry of the Biblical apostles of Christ, and the enduring foundation that their doctrine (which is actually the doctrine of The Lord Jesus, Himself) and practices have laid for the Church of today. The Bible teaches us that the Church--the household of GOD--is "built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief corner stone;" And therein, is "one body, and one Spirit, even as [we] are called in one hope of [our] calling; One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all, Who is above all, and through all, and in [us] all." (Ephesians 2:19-20 & 4:4-6)GOD's will, design, and intent for the Church is to be ONE, and He has made perfect provision for the achievement and endurance of that oneness. That provision is found in Apostolic Doctrine.______________________________________Taught on April 11, 2021 for Zion Pentecostal Church of Christ's (Cleveland, Ohio) "Cornerstone" Adult Sunday School class, via Zoom.
Bold, "flat-footed" teaching, this lesson reminds us that success is only assured when GOD is God. When we trust Him, wait on His orders, yield to His wisdom and power, and refuse to let anything take His place, we cannot be defeated. From a look at Hezekiah's faithful stand, to a revelation of Jesus' true temptation triumph, receive this Word of victory: Let GOD be God!______________________________________Taught on March 24, 2019 at Zion Pentecostal Church of Christ (Cleveland, Ohio) for "Cornerstone" Adult Sunday School class.
This straight forward, Biblical teaching leads us on a journey through the Book of The Acts, discovering the pervasive presence of water baptism in the Name of Jesus. An essential and fundamental component of the Apostles' ministry, Christ's doctrine that every person must be born again (of water and of The Spirit) in order to see and enter the Kingdom of GOD, remains necessary to the preaching of the Gospel today.Baptism through immersion in physical water, calling on the Name of The Lord Jesus, is still the only ordinance given in the Bible, whereby a person can attain the riddance and deliverance from their sins. Water baptism was both preached and performed by the Apostles, in obedience to the doctrine and commandment of Jesus Christ. It was The Lord's commission unto them, and it ours as well.______________________________________Taught on July 7, 2019 at Zion Pentecostal Church of Christ (Cleveland, Ohio) for the "Cornerstone" New Members' Sunday School class.
This simply epic teaching will leave you liberated and fearless -- ignited and transformed!Truly a Word from The Lord, the lesson inspires us to believe, not only in our GOD, but in ourselves; to leap confidently into ministry with courage and faith; to embrace and unleash the living fountain of GOD's Spirit within us.Surely, a blueprint for Boldness!(Please pardon the audio quality)______________________________________Taught on March 4, 2020 at Zion Pentecostal Church of Christ (Cleveland, Ohio) for Evening Bible Study.
This engaging lesson offers an insightful examination of GOD's glorious salvation plan for humanity, forged through two historic covenants: the Old and the New.From altars to the cross, lambs to The Lord, laws to liberties, and sacrifices to the Son of GOD, we behold with wonder, the depths of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of GOD! How unsearchable are His judgments and His ways past finding out!GOD has wrought for us, this Great Salvation -- one covenant at a time.______________________________________Taught on November 29, 2020 at Zion Pentecostal Church of Christ (Cleveland, Ohio), for the "Cornerstone" Sunday School Class (via Zoom).
This prophetically insightful message was delivered just weeks before the COVID-19 pandemic unimaginably altered ministry models, platforms, and paradigms across the globe. Emphasizing the need to become a Church of adaptive design, unboxed thinking, and committed compassion, we are here urgently implored by GOD to cultivate our care for the ever-evolving needs of humanity. At the heart of the message is the exhortation to "Adapt!"In hindsight, how poignant and meaningful a Word to receive from GOD, at the dawn of the year when everything changed.______________________________________Ministered at Church of Christ of the Apostolic Faith (Columbus, Ohio) on January 11, 2020, for the PAW Ohio District Council Young People's Union.
An equally academic and revelational teaching, this intriguing lesson explores both the agonizing physical reality of our Lord's crucifixion, as well as its profound parallels to our Spiritual experience as "saviors" in our time.As Jesus braved His saving mission, bore the weight of both His cross and His calling, and glorified His Father through a masterful life offering, so we must do in the ministry of our lives. By the grace of GOD and His anointing, we too can find the capacity to dedicate ourselves to the ministry of reconciliation, and become vessels of salvation to our world!______________________________________Taught at Zion Pentecostal Church of Christ (Cleveland, Ohio) in April 2016, for the Adult Sunday School session.
A continuation of "HOW TO RETURN & RECOVER" (Pt. I), this lesson explores Nehemiah 9 -- a moving Biblical passage, in which the remnant of Israel purely purposed their hearts, minds, and souls to return to GOD, and recover from their fall. The 38 verses of this intriguing chapter provide at least 12 Rudiments (elementary components) for the recovery of every believer. These powerful rudiments are sure and true actions that will always produce success, restore our Spiritual strength, and position for even greater glory in our latter, than we knew in our former.______________________________________Text: Nehemiah 9Taught on January 31, 2021 for Zion Pentecostal Church of Christ's (Cleveland, Ohio) "Cornerstone" Adult Sunday School Class, via Zoom.
This encouraging lesson discusses the importance and essential need for believers to recover from failures along our journey of faith.Failures in this life are, at best, possible -- and at worst, inevitable. However, they must not be fatal or final, and thus, we must develop the wherewithal to bounce back; to return to ourselves and recover what we have lost. If we are able to remember and reclaim Who GOD is, and who we are to Him, we can always find our way back, as well as the power to press forward. Listen and take courage, as this lesson strengthens you for those pivotal moments of recovery in your life. ______________________________________Texts: Exodus 34:1-2, 5-8 -- Psalm 103:7-14 -- Psalm 139:1-3, 13-18 -- Jonah 2 -- Luke 15:11-24 -- Nehemiah 9Taught on January 24, 2021 for Zion Pentecostal Church of Christ (Cleveland, Ohio) "Cornerstone" Adult Sunday School Class, via Zoom.
This insightful lesson discusses the promising and victorious deliverance of a "Kingdom of the Saints", now approaching in the inaugural months of 2021. Here are given tidings of the Saints' deliverance, wrought through the pervasive yoke of COVID-19 and 2020, yet with deep sensitivity to the suffering and loss experienced by so many of those Saints. While these tidings may be saddening to our emotions, they speak victoriously of our destiny. There is purpose to this time, and promise for the days ahead. For the Saints of the Most High shall {now} take the Kingdom, and possess the Kingdom forever. It is a time of the Saints' deliverance, and worship, and restoration, and glory. This deeply prophetic and directional message was delivered in the Summer of 2020--a year, widely characterized as unprecedented. However, there was a time like this time, before 2020. It was a time when GOD humbled the world... before, and examining that time will shed light upon the many complex dimensions and the pivotal purpose of this one.In that time, GOD allowed the entire world to come under the Yoke--the humbling control and dominion--of the kingdom of Babylon. And because the purpose of that time and its yoke was to humble the world, humility alone was the key to survival and the ultimate remedy for deliverance. The same is true of this time.According to the Scripture, to every thing, there is a season; and a time to every purpose under the heaven -- revealing that it is purpose that gives definition to time. A time can only be fulfilled and brought to pass, when it's purpose is accomplished. Therefore, if the world is to be delivered from the yoke of this time, we must humble ourselves. The global overtake of COVID-19 has signified the world's entrance into yet another time, like that time. Once again, GOD is humbling the world -- and once again, humility shall ultimately emerge as our true and only answer.______________________________________Text: Ezekiel 17:11-16, 22 & 24 Preached July 12, 2020 at Zion Pentecostal Church of Christ (Cleveland, OH), during an outdoor parking lot service.
