This deeply prophetic and directional message was delivered in the Summer of 2020--a year, widely characterized as unprecedented. However, there was a time like this time, before 2020. It was a time when GOD humbled the world... before, and examining that time will shed light upon the many complex dimensions and the pivotal purpose of this one.In that time, GOD allowed the entire world to come under the Yoke--the humbling control and dominion--of the kingdom of Babylon. And because the purpose of that time and its yoke was to humble the world, humility alone was the key to survival and the ultimate remedy for deliverance. The same is true of this time.According to the Scripture, to every thing, there is a season; and a time to every purpose under the heaven -- revealing that it is purpose that gives definition to time. A time can only be fulfilled and brought to pass, when it's purpose is accomplished. Therefore, if the world is to be delivered from the yoke of this time, we must humble ourselves. The global overtake of COVID-19 has signified the world's entrance into yet another time, like that time. Once again, GOD is humbling the world -- and once again, humility shall ultimately emerge as our true and only answer.______________________________________Text: Ezekiel 17:11-16, 22 & 24 Preached July 12, 2020 at Zion Pentecostal Church of Christ (Cleveland, OH), during an outdoor parking lot service.

Last Sunday, we opened the scriptures to Ezekiel Chapter 16. Passages of scripture like Ezekiel 16, can raise many questions for modern readers. This brief talk tries to answer some of those questions, regarding the vivid, graphic, and even offensive language and images that scripture often employs. Keep in mind, this is by no means exhaustive and is meant to sit within the context of our community, as we journey together in God's Word as we seek to follow Jesus in the everyday. (Text: Ezekiel 37:1-14) We hear of a vision given to Ezekiel which involves the resurrection of a whole valley full of bones. September 1 - The Power of Idols Synopsis: What do we worship? Marriage, spouses, and boyfriends/girlfriends? In the absence of a right view of God, it’s easy to look for a substitute. Husbands, wives, and other people become substitute gods, and we can fall into the trap of idolizing our relationships and marriages. We impose expectations on others that only God can fulfill, and when they fail us, we believe the relationship has failed. We have an unrealistic view of our relationships. Marriage has become an idol in the same ways that image, fame, money, and success have become idols. God alone is the idol; our marriages and relationships are not. Our marriages and relationships are intended to become expressions of our love for God, not God themselves. Text: Ezekiel 14:1-11 – God’s hunger to be the only idol in the heart of his people. No substitute is possible.
