The Five Forks branch of the Gwinnett County Public Library opened in 1995. A 2012 renovation included the TechStudio, which was the precursor to the Learning Labs, which are now at nine of Gwinnett library branches. Peachtree Corners was developed as a planned community in the 1960's with Technology Park as its core, to lure tech companies to the Gwinnett County area, but did not officially incorporate as a city until 2012. The Gwinnett County Public Library built its Peachtree Corners Branch in 1986, and the branch has continued to serve this unique community ever since!

Jason DiFranco is the Director of Development and Community Partnerships at Gwinnett County Public Library. One of the projects he has been working on is gathering support for the restoration of the historic Hooper-Renwick building, which housed Gwinnett County's only high school for Black children until desegregation in 1968. The building will be converted into a 25,000-square-foot museum and house Gwinnett County Public Library's new Lawrenceville branch. Hooper-Renwick Legacy Preservation Committee chair and vice-chair Theresa Bailey and Joyce Moore also join the podcast to talk more about this important project and their place in its history.
