He's got a new horror movie now playing on Digital and VOD called What's Wrong with the Kids, but chances are you know Zach Gilford better for his work on television, from his memorable role in Friday Night Lights to the  current season of Criminal Minds where he got to play opposite his real-life wife, Kiele Sanchez. He has a positive outlook and that is just one reason he's always working: recent series include L.A.'s Finest, The Midnight Club, Midnight Mass, Good Girls, and The Family. He's also co-hosting a podcast about Friday Night Lights with his pal Mae Whitman. Leonard and Jessie are admirers and feel certain he will continue to be a “working actor” for many years to come.

DOUBLE DOWN SOUTH is a feminist fatale noir set in the dangerous world of illegal, high-stakes keno pool gambling at the turn of the 21st century. Nick (Kim Coates, “Bad Blood”) owns a run-down plantation house in the rural South and is charmed by a smart and tough Keno ace, Diana (Lili Simmons, “Power Book IV: Force”). Diana wants to win big and Nick is determined to stake her. Little Nick (Igby Rigney,“The Midnight Club”) strikes up a friendship with Diana and coaches her to win against the odds. Diana must prove herself in a man's world to earn a match against Beaumont DuBinion (Justin McManus, “Power Book II: Ghosts”), the undisputed world's greatest keno pool player, who, it turns out, has a contentious and violent history with Nick. Written and directed by Academy Award© winning writer Tom Schulman (Dead Poets Society), the story is reflective of the misogyny and casual and blatant racism that still exists in our country. Schulman grew up in the South in the 50's and 60's and frequented pool halls where high-stakes keno was the game of choice for the regulars, a game which is so insidious from a gambling perspective that it was banned in most states. Director Tom Schulman stops by to talk about his superb cast he has assembled, finding the perfect location for this project and the joy of working in the realm of noir / Southern Gothic genre filmmaking. It's just Kevin and Andrew again after a week off. We hating taking time off, but they had a good reason this time. These two met in person for the first time last week at New York City Comic Con and you can bet your sweet butts they talk a lot about it! At the con, the guys saw Smallville, Star Trek, and Back to the Future panels and it was glorious! Andrew has some great stories from pre-con. There's a lot of Trek talk and Kevin revels in this being Andrews first time seeing them live. Finally, the discussion over Back to the Future is great. It really was a hell of a con! Back to current streaming events, the guys go on a horror binge and discuss Sinister (the scariest movie ever?), the new Hellraiser on Hulu, and The Midnight Club over on Netflix. They then finish it off with quick reviews of the individual episodes of the current hotness, She-Hulk, Andor, House of the Dragon, and The Rings of Power. As always, thank you so much for watching. The Netflix series The Midnight Club is set in a mysterious seaside hospice where teens with terminal conditions spend their final days gathering in the library every midnight to tell each other scary stories. The result is both a straight ahead horror show and a stealth anthology series. The show was created by Leah Fong and Mike Flanagan (The Haunting of Hill House, Midnight Mass).
