Most especially from our mutual friend Mark Mabuti (shout out to Mark for all those awesome games). Alex is an entrepreneur, a natural raconteur, and he is very passionate about the things that he's doing in his life. One of the things he has going on is that he is the owner and operator of Aim Point LLC which provides firearms instruction as well as experiences to all. There will be talk about guns because this is one of Alex's many passions. We will also talk about the experience of jumping into a new business, following your passions, the lessons we learn from family, what it means to risk, how to make that leap of faith, and a lot of other things about life in general. I'm done talking now, I'll let Alex tell his story from there. Show notes: - Contact for AimPoint L.L.C. Ladies and gentlemen, Adele! ...Hello... Ok I'm not going to use that joke. This is Adele Yoshikawa. The first thing that I'm sure everyone notices about her is the flower in her hair, her joyous smile, and especially her happy beingness... her overwhelming happy and spectacularly positive beingness. To Adele, this is all part of the plan to spread that joy, love, and positivity into the universe. As we'll learn from her story, this is definitely intentional. She is your friendly neighborhood mail carrier, but she is so much more, from helping with the food bank, to being a shining example to her kids, to the amazing ways she takes to promotion and business, she has big plans for the impact she wants to create. I definitely had a most fantastic time with this conversation, and I know you all will as well. Show notes. - The food drive that is mentioned in the show is the Letter Carrier's "Stamp Out Hunger" Food Drive, scheduled for May 13, 2017. They are in their early planning stages for Hawaii, so we'll update everyone as the date comes closer. - Frequently mentioned, PSI Seminars' Honolulu December Basic Seminar is coming up (December 2-4). We've talked a lot about this class and I can totally vouch for the amazing experience and lessons that I continually get from taking it. Contact the show at email button below (hygyst@gmail.com) or give me a call 808-391-3452 if you have any questions and want to sign up for the class, you'll be glad you did.

Hey y'all, this is Kory Ikeda (I'm pretty sure I'm doing this thing where I'm a person who says y'all now). Me and him go way back to mechanical engineering at university. We're also both members of Hawaiian Dredging Toastmasters (though you'd never know that from the subject being absent from the conversation). What I can tell you all though, (see that, that was a perfect opportunity to say y'all, but I didn't. That's called keeping the audience in their toes.) is that I had a fantastic time reflecting on this conversation. You'll definitely hear it from Kory about the triumphs and troubles he got into in just about every situation and turn. The brother has a wise streak a mile long and it shows. And through it all though he definitely is a man of vision. I had a great time doing this and I'm sure y'all are going to have a kick out of this one. A big shout out to previous guest and friend of the show Dean Masai for providing the recording space.

This is Jon Bynes. I first met him during PLD (mentioned on previous episodes) and I have to say... this guy gets busy. The dude has a lot going on. But in the end, that's the point of it all right? I'm pretty sure that's what I learned from Shawshank Redemption. :D Jon's business is business. Whether he's working his auto detailing business or commercial real estate or even back in the bar or whatever he sees himself doing. He has such a great story about opportunities and the sneaky way the universe works to present them. Here's the thing about the law of attraction, when you do keep that idea/goal in your head so dang hard, the universe cannot help but give you the opportunity to take it. It'll definitely take a shift in perspective to see it, and that's for damn sure. Listen to Jon's story it's going to be awesome.

Come gather 'round people and hear the tale of Dean Masai. The man lives, breathes, and bleeds Toastmasters. He also had a lot to say about where he comes from and why he feels such a way for the organization. We talk about mentors, what it means to not give up, what it means to open up, photography, the power of belief, a positive mental attitude, and Toastmasters... so much Toastmasters and much, much, much more. We also talk about Dean's upbringing and how his family situation came into play. There's also a couple of bits where I get some praise from the man himself, which I'll gladly own up to, Dean's the best! Enjoy this conversation people. A great big thanks goes out to Dean as well for providing the wonderful space to record at his office. Art Balligui just want to be a good guy. I'll let him share his story and you'll definitely know more about that when you hear it. What I know though is that Art is a great guy willing to do whatever it takes to hone his craft and move him forward in his chosen path. I know that he will be ready, open, and willing to take the opportunities that present themselves to him because he's just that kind of guy. Art is an actor, stunt man, fight choreographer, and stunt coordinator for various projects in local film. Essentially Art is there either in front of the camera performing amazing stunts, behind the camera coordinating the scene so the action tells the story, or with the various players making sure that these amazing stunts are performed precisely and safely. He shares with us his story on how his journey has got him where he is and where he feels it's taking him. We also talk about how to deal with life's challenges. We recorded out of studio A and I enjoyed the heck out of this conversation and I know you will too. Enjoy.

Today's episode focuses on one of my good friends with an awesome name... this is Jason Anthenien. He works as a financial service provider for New York Life. We talk about that crazy journey he took to get to where he is today. I originally met him a couple of years ago playing ultimate frisbee and we have been great friends ever since, but I don't think I've ever heard his whole story. He originally comes from California and I really didn't get to hear his story until now. Did you ever want to get something and have (at best) half a plan? Well this is in there. Ever get in that situation where you need to just keep consistent at a thing to get better and better? That's in there as well. We also talk a lot about race, politics, life choices, politics, and sports. North Korea shows up again as well which is interesting as that's two conversations in a row. Anyway, there's more than just that and I'll let Jason tell you the story himself. Enjoy.

This guy right here? That's Chris Lum Lee. People... let me tell you about this conversation. Another one of the Jack of many trades kind of person, Chris' story here is one with many bendy twists and turns. In his own words he is an "aspiring writer, investor, and traveler." But to summarize a person's story up to this point with just three things would be a disservice. A life lived is so much richer than I can put into some little blurb description chunk, but here we go. We get to talking about a great and many things, mostly about the creative process and how one would continue to drive toward and complete the goals they set out for themselves. We also talk how pro wrestling got Chris into buying stocks or a bottle of water sparks up memories of North Korea (hopefully someone's listening from there... what's up North Korea), a little about our school experiences, and I speak about some behind the scenes process in creating these episodes. That's just a taste of this entire epic conversation (an amuse-bouche if you will). I'll let our own words do the talking (does that sound right?). What are you waiting for... get to listening!

Corey Pabo is one of my great friends. I always like to think that he has like an awesome superpower of picking up new skills relatively quickly (read as, just about the very first time). But that aside, he is a skilled carpenter, retired soldier, and a committed family man. We get to talking about a lot of different subjects, we get a nice working theory of what it means to work under pressure, what it means to go with the flow, what it means really get what you want, how to work through the suck in a job, the various projects he worked on, and how to proudly be a jack of all trades. We also talk about the tv show Limitless... which I loved as well (future sponsor of the show). It sure feels like I wrote a lot, but there's more story to tell so I'll let Corey tell it.

Today was an interesting episode. I'd like to officially call it the "switcheroo" episode or Happy opposite day! Previous guest Aubrey Pabon (Episode - 15) let me know that she wanted to put me on the other side of the mic for once and ask me some questions. So today's guest is Jason Baguio. If your are one of the few people who have read the "about me" section of the website and shook your fist at the ambiguity of it all.... then shake your fist further for just a little more information. Seriously though, today's conversation revolves around the idea that became the seed for the podcast, some personal triumphs/struggles, dating advice (I guess), following through on the creative and inventive process, even what injustices I would stand up for, and just a grand ole' time with Aubrey. There's a lot of other things covered, but I'll let myself tell that story (or really because I probably forgot). Get a little closer peak behind the curtain and a little in my head and the process. A great big thanks to Aubrey Pabon for the idea and facilitating the interview portion. She did such a fantastic job and I feel like seeing more of these interviews periodically. Enjoy this one everyone.

We also get to a little working theory of complaining... I'll let him explain it.
