The Mariner stands at the tiller of his catamaran, with his sights set on the horizon. Back on Dryland, Enola and Helen reach the peak of the island and find a metal plaque revealing that they are standing on the peak of Mount Everest, the highest point on Earth. The camera pulls out into a helicopter shot and the credits begin to roll.
Helen and The Mariner share a kiss and she offers him a gift. The Mariner is wary of such a thing, but Helen insists and bestows on him a name that He can use the next time he meets people. She tells the story of Ulysses and says his name now belongs to him. The Mariner agrees that it is a good name and takes to the sea. Special Guests: Karen and Liz from Foxes in the Henhouse
The Mariner returns to his catamaran with Enola's music box and says his goodbyes to Gregor and The Enforcer. Gregor hands him a bag of dirt, telling him not to spend it all in one place, while The Enforcer simply offers a hearty handshake. Helen asks why The Mariner has decided to leave, He responds by saying he will find others worthy of dryland, and perhaps even other mutants.
With a new catamaran and all of the supplies that he can carry, The Mariner approaches a despondent Enola to say goodbye. She tries to insist that he stay, but The Mariner is determined to return to the ocean and insists that He has his reasons. She shoves a music box into his hands and runs away along the beach.
Gregor and The Enforcer enter one of the huts and find a pair of skeletons alongside a table covered in tattooing supplies. Enola arrives and confirms their suspicions by declaring that she is home. Outside, The Mariner is having a rough time adjusting to dryland while a small herd of horses passes nearby.
The Airship has finally reached Dryland with lush green forests covering a wide valley. Gregor lands on the shoreline and the party disembarks to find flowing freshwater. The others are elated, but The Mariner proves more uneasy. Progressing further inland, The Enforcer leads the others to a pair of stick and grass huts, Special Guests: Brad Mull from Jurassic Minutes and Courtney Coulson from 60 Seconds to Comply
Finally safe from the Smokers, Gregor uses a map and sextant to point the airship towards dryland. Days pass and, though provisions are growing scarce, the airship continues onward. One morning, The Mariner is awoken by an unfamiliar sound and opens his eyes to see a seagull perched on the edge of the airship's basket.
With his ship underwater and his smokers scattered, Deacon shoots at the airship. Enola loses her balance and falls into the water below. Deacon and two of his cohorts rush to grab Enola, but The Mariner grabs a rope and leaps from the Airship. He grabs Enola in the nick of time and the two of them fly out of harm's way as Deacon and his smokers destroy each other.
The Mariner finds Enola unharmed and with the arrival of Gregor's Airship, they quickly escape the burning ship. Helen and the Enforcer begin to pull up Enola and The Mariner but they are hindered by Deacon who has also grabbed onto the rope. Helen knocks Deacon from the rope. With everyone safely on the Airship, they look down to see the ‘Dez sinking into the water.
The Mariner arrives on the bridge only to find that Deacon has dragged Enola down to the seaplane. Nord arrives to shoot the Mariner, but his gun is empty and he's quickly dispatched. On the deck, Deacon is taxiing along the deck to take off and escape. The Mariner grabs a harpoon gun, swings down to the deck, and uses a hook to disable the seaplane. Deacon's control over the situation is shattered as The Mariner drops his flare into the oil reserve, kicking off a chain reaction of explosions that begin tearing the ship apart. The Mariner dives through an opening in the deck as the smokers begin to panic. The Mariner dodges gunfire in the belly of the ‘Dez eventually coming face to face with Nord in the Deacon-mobile.
The Mariner places himself squarely in Deacon's sights and reveals himself, much to Nord's amusement and Enola's elation. Pointing up at the bridge, He demands Enola's release. Deacon has nothing but insults for The Mariner, but his tone changes once The Mariner pulls a flare from his jacket and threatens to ignite the ship's oil reserve.
As Nord holds Enola aloft, Deacon declares her to be the Smokers' salvation, the very thing that will lead them to Dryland. He smashes a bottle against the handrailing and whips his congregation into a fervor as they rush to their stations and begin rowing. The deck clears, revealing a lone figure looking to challenge Deacon.
Nord does his best to not let Enola get to him, but she persists in her needling. While the Mariner moves through the guts of the Deez, Enola weaves a tale of his supernatural abilities but Nord is none too impressed. Deacon reaches the crescendo of his speech and Nord carries Enola out onto the balcony where she's held up before the cheering horde. Special Guests: Jonathan, Rob, and George
Having flattened one smoker, the Mariner is approached by two others who surprisingly laugh off the situation and let him leave unchallenged. As the Mariner makes his way through the Deez, Enola taunts Nord while he waits for his signal to present her to the crowd. Outside, Deacon continues his sermon, declaring that one day they will dominate Dryland.
Deacon stands on his balcony, commanding his flock to have faith in his guidance. Far below, the Mariner sees two smokers have discovered his stolen jet ski. He leaps from the deck and drowns the men before stealing their clothes for a disguise and entering the ship through the jet ski garage, flattening one of the smoker mechanics in the process.
The Mariner uses holes in the side of the ship to scale the hull of the Deez, at the top he finds that the Deacon has called a meeting of his smokers. The greasy horde streams onto the deck as the Mariner finds a place to hide behind a shipping container. Deacon dispenses cans of meat before taking his place at the microphone and addressing his parish.
Helen and Gregor are left behind as the Mariner disappears into the night, but Gregor has a plan to help. On the Deez, Nord and the Doc are trying to decipher Enola's tattoo but come up empty-handed, frustrating the Deacon. On the water, the Mariner cuts through a thick cloud bank and finds himself at the base of a towering wall of rusted metal. Special Guest: “Makeshift” Mike from The Apocalypse Post
Helen and Gregor help the Mariner prepare for his assault on the Smokers. He asks Gregor about his progress on translating Enola's tattoo and reveals that the numbers are upside down. The Atoll survivors dispute that the world was flooded but Helen confirms it as truth. The Mariner uses a firebomb to light a trail back to the Smokers' stronghold.
The Mariner returns to his burned trimaran and finds some of Enola's drawings. As he looks at these drawings, something clicks and he realizes that Enola must have come from Dryland. Later, at the makeshift Atoll, Smokers arrive and harass the survivors only to be ambushed by the Mariner who has returned to save Enola.
Gregor adds his voice to Helen's as she pleads with the survivors to rescue Enola, but they fail to convince anyone. Helen approaches the Mariner but finds that he is no more willing to help than the others. She reminds the Mariner that Enola considers him a friend, but that does little to change his mind. He takes supplies from the Atoll survivors and rows away into the night.
Helen is delighted to see Gregor's arrival but the mood is spoiled by Enola's absence. Nevertheless, Gregor tosses down a rope and brings both Helen and the Mariner to where the survivors of the Atoll attack have gathered. Later that evening, Helen tries to rally the survivors to go after Enola, but her cries for action fall on deaf ears. Special Guests: Tom & Michelle from Apocalypse in Review
The Mariner asks Helen why she held onto her belief in Dryland for so long. She points out that humans were not built to live on the water and sinks deeper into her sadness following Enola's kidnapping. The Mariner tries to give Helen some encouragement to not give up, and not long afterward Gregor arrives in his airship to save them.
Helen reaches out to the Mariner to find some sort of reassurance but his silence speaks to the severity of their situation. They talk about when Helen offered her body to the Mariner after the Atoll attack and She has sex with the Mariner. Afterward, as the Mariner salvages supplies from the wreckage, Helen ponders the idea of a Dryland that moves.
Finished with the pleasantries, Deacon gets down to business and turns the conversation to Enola's tattoo. Enola is quick to say that it's the way to Dryland but admits she doesn't know how to decipher it. Meanwhile, on the burned wreck of the Trimaran, Helen is despondent. She asks the Mariner if there is any hope of their survival.
Deacon takes it upon himself to interrogate Enola and decides that the “good cop” approach would work best. To that end, He offers her a cigarette and then a marker. Enola does not respond to either so Deacon begins to explain how his parish is quickly outgrowing the Deez. Enola is quick to point out that population control would help, but Deacon dismisses that idea. Special Guests: Doug Greenberg from Rocky Minute and Johnie Powers from Austin Powers Minute

Helen begins to panic as she runs out of air, but the Mariner uses his mutation to help her breathe. Helen and the Mariner wait until it's safe then return to the burned wreck of the trimaran.
Helen and the Mariner keep tight-lipped despite Deacon's threat of violence. Deacon is surprised by the resiliency of his captives and uses guile to trick Enola into revealing herself. The smokers drag Enola over to the Deacon, and Nord emerges from below decks with an armful of the Mariner's magazines. Deacon gives the order for Helen and the Mariner to be killed.
Helen and the Mariner return to the surface where she struggles to reconcile her long-held beliefs with what she's just witnessed. Helen's distress is interrupted by the Smokers that have invaded the Trimaran and quickly take her and the Mariner hostage. Deacon steps forward to introduce himself and demand that Enola be handed over.
Illuminated only by the flares that he's brought along, The Mariner shows Helen the ghostly remains of the world that once was. He takes her past a city skyline to the street below where he reveals the dirt waiting on the ocean's floor. On the trimaran, Enola waits by the depth gauge when she suddenly notices two menacing shark fins swim past the boat. Special Guest: Alex Keown from The Atoll YouTube page
Worn down by Helen, the Mariner finally agrees to take her to Dryland, but she's confused when he brings out a diving bell and tells her to get inside. She's uneasy about leaving Enola unattended so soon after a Smoker attack, but the Mariner points out there's only enough air for one. Helen enters the diving bell and they begin their descent.
Safe from immediate danger, Helen confronts the Mariner about his intentions to sell them to slavers at the outpost. He accuses Her of being equally deceptive in regards to Enola's tattoo. Helen relents and tells him that it's a map to dryland which he balks at, saying that dryland is a myth because he's never been able to find it.
The Mariner, Helen, and Enola work together to slip past the Smokers' closing net. Then, to outrun his pursuers, the Mariner deploys his kite spinnaker for a boost of speed. Deacon grabs a rifle from an underling and shoots the Mariner through the torso, leaving a blood trail for his tracker sharks to follow.
The Mariner finds a slick of oil floating on the surface and heads below deck to check below the waterline. Behind a camouflage of murdered outpost residents, the Deacon and his Smokers lie in ambush. The Mariner discovers the trap a bit too late and as he makes a run for it, Nord signals a troupe of Smokers to spring into action to ensnare the Trimaran. Special Guest: Sarah and Sam from Bigfoot for Breakfast
The Mariner uses his lifetime of experience in the water to give Enola a lesson in the basics of swimming, which she quickly masters. The scene fades to the Trimaran approaching a trading outpost. Helen is concerned, but the Mariner insists that they need to stop for repairs, but as they draw closer the Mariner begins to suspect that there is something wrong.
Helen asks if Dryland is beautiful and the Mariner reassures her that she will see for herself. The Mariner heads below deck and rifles through his collection of magazines to find more context for the word pity. When the day breaks, Helen finds The Mariner teaching Enola how to swim. She expresses concern about sea monsters, but the Mariner assuages her fears.
Helen shares the story of how Enola drifted into the Atoll and the personal sacrifice she made to protect her. The Mariner finds this sacrifice odd and remarks that his only friend is his boat because it will never betray him. Helen pities him and the conversation turns back to Enola. The Mariner relents and hands the crayon back to Helen.
As night falls, Helen finds the Mariner sitting on the bowsprit listening to a wind-powered CD player that he pieced together from salvage. She is fascinated by the artifacts and assumes they are from Dryland. She asks after the Mariner's name and he reveals that He has no need for one. Helen hands over one of Enola's drawings, as well as a crayon. Special Guests: Pete and Tom from ABCD:TOS
With Whalefin steaks on the grill, Helen, Enola, and the Mariner share a meal. Enola hums to herself pleasantly, but the Mariner's scowling prompts the girl to ask him why he doesn't like her singing. The Mariner longs for his days of quiet solitude on his boat. He notes that it will rain that night and allows Helen to drink her fill. Enola looks at the Mariner's feet and wishes aloud that she could swim.
The Mariner reaches his limit with Helen, he throws her fishing rod overboard and heads below deck. He emerges a short time later with an odd harpoon gun which he ties to the winch and dives overboard. Helen and Enola watch as the Mariner is dragged behind the boat, but their fascination turns to shock and horror as a massive creature swallows the Mariner whole.
On the Deez, the Deacon dreams of reaching Dryland and determines a spot on the map to ambush the Trimaran. On the Trimaran, the wind has died and Helen's concern is wholly focused on finding food for Enola. The Mariner is dismissive as usual, more concerned with scanning the horizon than worrying about sustenance.
