Our kids love to call our name all day. They love to break yesterdays record on how many times they called your name. Yet they hate when you talk to them or ask them things. You are always wanting to just have one moment of peace. Also you might find yourself listening to them and not really understanding what they are saying or have any clue as to what was said. This has to stop! We have to communicate better with our kids because it is the key to a great relationship with them, getting to know them, and letting them know their voice matters. We often get caught up in saying "what I say goes, or you are the kid you listen, or did I ask you that".I don't believe this is the proper way to parent. So the next couple of episodes will be light conversations on communicating with our kids and ways to get to know them. How to choose which battle to fight in parenting can be difficult. Picking your battles is insane because we are the adults. They are the kids. Therefore they should just listen to us! Dating is already so difficulty. So being a mom is so had too. Yet when we try to wear both hats at the same time it could leave you with gray hair so I wouldn't advise you to do it unless you have a ton of money to see your hair dresser on a weekly basis. Your mind is such a powerful thing. As a parent we sometimes allow our fear of neglecting our kids or not being able to be there for them, neglecting them, or not being able to take care of them control the decision to chase our dreams. It's kind of crazy what 2020 is looking like. We are taught to consistently say no to so many things. Just say no is instilled in us and not just for sex. I believe that the word yes is just as equally powerful. Dating is the crazy and scary topic that we briefly talked about on the last episode!!! As a mom we are potential targets because our focus is always on our kids which means we might not be focused on our surroundings while handling business and errands during the holidays. Also we tend to have things in our house that are typically in there that can pose a threat to our kids because they aren't use to these items being in the house. Yep, you read it right I have been divorced twice.... Failure? Nope it isn't. It's life and crap happens. So listen to this episode to gain a little insight on what happen in my first marriage and how it lead to divorce.... After all the cheating, irresponsible spending, and then abuse I just didn't want to deal. We were too young and just wasn't ready but that's just a glimpse. I do go a little deeper into why I reached my fed up mark, probably not as deep as you would like but I just give enough to lead into my 8 points of how you aren't alone and what most woman should do after they have had a divorce. Society puts so much pressure on a woman and the idea of starting a family. There is so much negative things that are superficial as to why you should think long and hard before having kids. Now I know that these negative things you read about can make you feel like your life is over but you should still look at the positive aspects of everything. I think it is imperative that we should start changing this concept and start focusing on the positive aspects that come with having a baby. Being healthy is a choice but it’s one of the most powerful, wise, and awesome choices you could ever make. As a mom it is your job to set an example for your kids. People don’t realize that being healthy should start right away. No moment is promised so make sure not to cheat yourself by doing some of the most common things people do! Don't put your dreams on hold til tomorrow, or next year, or until your kids are older. Don't assume that you will have time to spend time with your kids later on because you are busy building your dreams. Don't assume that this moment will be able to happen in the future. Realize that your future is just as precious as your present, so find a balance and sacrifice nothing based off the fact that you will have more time because no one knows that. So live each moment as if it's your last which means spend time with your kids in the most astounding ways, find time for your wants...needs... and so forth, and always make moves to achieve your dreams! No moment is promised!

It's hard to build your path to your success while actually trying to successfully parent. Sometimes we feel like our time isn't dispersed as it should be. We struggle with balancing the time we have and making sure our kids know that they still are way more important than anything on the table, especially work. They tug on you til they rip a hole in your shirt for your attention. So letting them be a part of your moves to your dreams can be beneficial to you both! Listen in for more.
