    Read the article on www.myjobgermany.com  There is nothing like autopilot to get an increase in salary. You need to ask your supervisor, HR or manager to be granted an increase. The annual review meeting is one opportunity to ask for a raise.  But any other date is fine as well.  Listen to this episode ... ...when you're unhappy because our salary has not gone up for a few years … ... when your salary has not developed as you've hoped it would ... if, by accident, you've discovered  that your colleague gets more salary than you (even though he or she is not as capable as you are)  I want to call your attention to the one deadly mistake you must never ever make if you want a pay increase.

    "500 applications - and still no job found in Germany" - This or similar stories of testimonies from international professionals circulate on the Internet.  If you don't want to risk morphing into such an application robot, this episode is for you.  Many professionals have left Germany without having found a job because an underlying misconception, which I explain in this episode.  So, we talk about the agile approach of testing and re-designing your job seeking strategy.  This is a proven method, it has helped many German and International applicants before and it will also help you switch out the overwhelm for a more lighthearted approach.  We'll cover these aspects:  What a classical job searching strategy  is and why most of us believe that this is the ultimate way to land a job.  The four steps of the classic job searching strategy  Why this approach does not work anymore in our dynamic world of today Why Linkedin is Hell (and Heaven)  What's up with this belief set of “The more applications I send, the sooner I get a job”  and some beliefs that foster this misconception like “If I just work hard enough, I'll manage to get a job”.     All of LinkedIn is full of recruiters. It's their job to reach out to qualified candidates, attract and motivate them to apply to their company. But still, most professionals feel .. hesitant to get in touch with them and being afraid to make some blunders. There is an easy recipe which I will share in this episode. But first, let's make sure we both share a common understanding of what recruiters are looking for and why. I'll give you three aspects for your communication that you should take to heart, which is  being polite  making sure you have a specific questions and  make sure you're talking to the right recruiter.    This topic and the content is a result from my guidance over the past years, as well as from my mentoring groups. They provide a basic understanding of the job seeking world in Germany if job seeking is not your expert field.    If you have further questions, even more specific ones, you're welcome to send me an audio message/ question.
