A rising tide raises all ships. This is the truth and a big reason it is so important for all business owners to learn how to contribute and build up the community around them. This conversation was inspired by a challenged from Dick Withnell at a YMCA event in Salem, Oregon. At the event he challenged the audience to think about who would be the next generation of community leaders. Two people that immediately came to mind for me were Conrad Venti and Alex Casebeer. We were able to chat on a Zoom call last week. Enjoy hearing about

I’m excited to partner with my brilliant and talented friend, Loree Sanchez, every week to provide you content that will help you be a better teammate, peer, and overall influencer. Today we discuss differences between Extroverts and Introverts, including how we can best partner together. The Jung-Myers theory describes two kinds of mental processes: aking in or gathering information and making decisions and coming to conclusions about that information. Everyone has a preferred way of using these mental processes. People who prefer INTROVERSION focus in-depth on a few interests, learn best by reflection, mental “practice,” and take the initiative selectively—when the situation or issue is critical to them. People with a preference for INTROVERSION reflect more, be quieter, keep enthusiasm inside, reflect before responding to questions, wait for space, be more contained, and harder to read. I’m hoping you could send me a DM on Instagram with your biggest takeaway from today’s episode. What actions will you take to help you better connect with your Extroverted/Introverted friends?
There has never been a better time to shoot your shot. You have nothing to lose. I don't mean that you should be obnoxious and spam people. In this episode, I share two stories about how I made a couple of really exciting things happen in Salem based on my willingness to throw a hail mary on Twitter. Enjoy!

Whether you are growing your business or working on a sales team, landing contracts with billion-dollar companies might seem out of reach. This perspective isn't true. Tom Hoffert was part of the sales team at Don Poncho, who helped the company grow from 25 million to 125 million in sales yearly by landing major contracts with companies like Subway and Chipotle. The difference in hitting your goals and not is the way we spend our time. People who are intentional with their time are intentional with their outcomes. It's so easy to be lost in the weeds and act every day without taking a moment to think about whether or not the actions we are taking are getting us where we want. In this podcast I break down three steps that can help you define your goals and start taking action. Envision yourself a year from now. When you look back at the year, what do you want to have accomplished? What is the smallest step forward you can take towards this goal? Set a date for action. When are you going to start taking action towards this goal? I also take a moment to share a couple of my own big goals for this year. Send me a DM on Instagram, @MrJacobEspi, with your goals for the year and action you are taking. I want to hear about them!
