The 2020 Academy Awards are in the books. Diane and fellow movie buff Jonathan Rand talk about the winners, the broadcast and which movies are worth your time (because we saw almost every one!)

Diane interviews North Carolina Theatre Artistic Director Eric Woodall and "Kinky Boots" cast member Jose Rondon, Jr. about the show February 11-16th and ways they're engaging the community.

"Come From Away" a musical based on the true story of passengers stranded after the 9/11 attacks is at DPAC January 14-19. Diane interviews actress Marika Aubrey (Bev & others) from the cast.

The Golden Globes kicked off 2020 award season on Sunday, January 5th. Diane and fellow film (TV & theatre) buff Jonathan Rand talk about the ceremony and the winners.

Theatre Raleigh has a couple of onstage holiday treats in December, and an exciting 2020 Summer Series! Diane talks to Marketing & Communications Director Michaeline (Mikki) Stith.

Another holiday treat is the stage version of "White Christmas" at DPAC December 3-8. Diane interviews NYC based actor David Elder (Bob Wallace) who's touring with show.

In addition to holiday traditions, the Triangle has theatre shows you might not know about! Diane talks to director Shelley Sink and actresses Maggie Scheer (Beth) and Jane Kelley (Gladys) from Cary Players' "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever" and director Bonnie Lythgoe and actress Olivia Sanabia from Lythgoe Family Panto's "A Snow White Christmas."

Some of the scariest movies are at least partially true! Diane and fellow film buff Jonathan Rand talk about the true stories behind movies like "The Conjuring" and "Silence of the Lambs."

Two of the reasons to see Disney's Aladdin at DPAC are its "bad boys" Jafar and Iago. Diane interviews actors Patrick Brown and Reggie DeLeon about the show.

Theatre in the Park's Dracula runs October 4-20 followed by their annual production of "A Christmas Carol" in December.  But there's a lot more in store in 2020!  Diane interviews Ira David Wood III and son Ira David Wood IV.

Diane learns all about the Cary Player Community Theater from founder & President Dan Martschenko and delves into their upcoming production of "12 Angry Jurors" with co-producer Joey DeSena and cast members Dion Castro and Emily Chiola.

Theatre Raleigh's current production "The Scottsboro Boys" is based on a true story of injustice and racism in Scottsboro, Alabama.  Diane, Mikki and Darius discuss how the show sheds light on this painful part of our history and the prejudice that still exists 90 years later.

Whether you watch on an actual television, or on your computer or phone, you've probably seen some of the 2019 Emmy Award nominees.  Diane and Jonathan Rand talk about the major categories and the many platforms now included in the Emmy's.
