Welcome to the Summer Edition of the Brews in the Binyard side Podcast within a Podcast. Its the 9th time we have done one of these and they are very different to the usual shows, so after a run of 7 or 8 "normal" episodes I suppose I best warn newcomers that there may be a spot of bad language and you really don't want to play this with kids in the room. Someone will no doubt be offended, but that's not the intention and I hope everyone takes the show in the tongue in cheek manner it is intended. We start the show with a general catch up with some lively discussions about wargame magazine coverage and game complexity that develops nicely throughout the show. Part 2 is the draw for the 1st and 2nd Rounds of the World Cup of Wargaming Pet Hates, we discuss the results of the Preliminary Votes and those who didn't make the cut before going onto the draw. We delayed the usual 3rd part of listener questions, we were already over 3 hours in and thanks to the wonderful audience we had well over 70 questions, so we decided to come back and do a separate episode in a few weeks time. So sit back and enjoy this episode and I'll see you again soon with either a guest or a bunch of questions. Regards Ken The Yarkshire Gamer

“Summer in the City.” “I Feel the Earth Move.” “Bette Davis Eyes.” “Whoomp! There It Is.” “Get Lucky.” “Espresso.” What do these big summer hits all have in common? None of them was Billboard's official Song of the Summer. Wait…there's an official Song of the Summer? Isn't that something that just happens organically? Every year, it seems everybody has an opinion on this musical national pastime. But the Hot 100 often tells a different story. For every “Light My Fire,” “Bad Girls,” “Crazy in Love,” “California Gurls” or “Call Me Maybe”—a hot-weather hit that unites the charts and the punditry—there are confirmed summer smashes that no one would pick out of a lineup, from Zager and Evans to Iggy Azalea. Join Chris Molanphy as he traces the tangled story of how America came to decide there should be one victorious summer hit to rule them all. And he counts down the best Songs of the Summer by decade. Is it getting “Hot in Herre,” or is it just us…? Podcast production by Kevin Bendis. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Hey Family Brand community, Chris and Melissa here! We're so excited to reconnect with all of you and share what's been happening in our world this so far this summer! We kicked off with an unforgettable trip across Europe, soaking in history and culture, which was a fantastic way for us all to grow and bond as a family. Back in Arizona, summer is in full swing with its fair share of sun and fun, but we're also working hard to keep a balance between relaxation and structure. Our kids are really stepping up this year, tackling everything from sports to unique summer jobs, learning the value of hard work and entrepreneurship along the way. They've been selling everything from pecans to T-shirts, and it's a joy to see their creativity and perseverance in action. We also rely on our family vision board more than ever during these months. It's a simple yet powerful tool that helps us align our daily activities with our broader goals for the summer. Whether it's learning new skills, saving up for a concert, or just making sure we have enough family downtime, that board keeps us all on track. Join us in this episode as we dive deeper into how we manage these dynamic summer days. We'll share the successes, the learning moments, and how we're all growing together. So hit play now and let's explore how to make the most of this fun season together! Natalia welcomes back Colleen Lindstrom to talk about summer stress and how it is somehow busier and why that's not always better. What if we did less? What if we stopped going for the gold and didn't seize every day this summer?
