Robin Williams IST Dschinni!

What do you get when you cross Disneys Lion King with Disneys Aladdin and a sprinkle of Adam Sandlers' Click? DING DING DING.... You got it! Prince of Persia: The sands of Time. A tale of un-epic proportions, and not because the story is bad (even though it is), but because by the end of this movie, it's as if the film never even happened... though we are not all in the same boat and most of us will have to remember watching this film.Join us as we parkour our way through the dessert, bet on ostrich racing, and seemingly revive everyone that died eliminating any emotional connection we would have (definitely not) had with them! All of this and more, this week on The Every Movie EVER! Podcast.

Goodie and JohnnyMo at the Movies return with our second movie of the weekend with Episode 15 and we are reviewing the updated live action version of the Disney Classic, Aladdin! **Spoilers Ahead** Not a straight forward carbon copy of the 1992 animated film which was a good thing. They made some changes and updated the film a little bit to their advantage. Some CGI that looked great in some scenes, especially the animals and others that could have used some fine tuning. Great musical numbers and a good performance by Will Smith as the Genie! Thanks for listening to our review and please subscribe to our podcasts/videos/channel on YouTube, Facebook and Twitter @goodie_johnnymo!

In this episode, I will be talking about a topic that is an ongoing discussion and why our culture is still divided. Recently Disney released new details on the new Live Action film "Ariel" and announced the actress who will be singing under the sea. Halle Bailey will be our Ariel, she one of the stars of the Freeform television show "Grownish", plus one half of the duo Chloe X Halle. This new live-action film became a trending topic, not because of the excitement of Ariel being a live-action film, but the fact that Ariel will be an African American girl instead of the original representation of a pale face red-haired mermaid. This does not come as a shock to me that Halle is receiving backlash, but social media is making this a prejudice situation instead of mere dislike. We are all lovers of movies and at some point, we envision movie characters like ourselves, so why is Halle Bailey receiving this backlash when Will Smith who played the iconic Robin Williams character as the Genie in Disney's "Aladdin" was welcomed? This is borderline line favoritism and another example that gender still plays a factor in any industry. Today we are taking back our voice and letting go of these harmful stereotypes. Don’t forget to share, comment and send us your questions so we can address them here on the show.
