In S5Ep8 of the PRP, Adam symposiums with decades-long distance runner, decorated Wayne State alum, physical therapy powerhouse, multifaceted running coach and proud mama bear, Dr. Lauren Couls, who has been preparing for the Red Moon Trail 25K on August 9th, 2025. Jen Rock Buslepp, Wayne State hall of famer, Olympic Trials qualifier, mama bear extraordinaire and blossoming photographer joins the show to offer her take on running burnout, mom brain and of course, the Ninja Turtles.Buckle up as the squad unpacks how Lauren's PT and coaching approach has evolved—from prescribing fixes to fostering lightbulb moments. By guiding athletes to discover answers for themselves, she sparks lasting growth and resilience; shifting runners' perspectives on body mechanics and training strategies in the long run (pun intended) instead of just slapping bandaids on injuries.Things get vulnerable when the trio digs into the hard questions around coaching, healing, and stewardship. What happens when your body says pause but your identity screams run? How do you balance competitiveness with compassion—for yourself and others? And how can each of us support this community, even when we're not the ones pinning on the bib?For both Lauren & Jen, that journey has meant evolving from high-level competitors to coaches, healers, and now moms. Deconstructing their identities as runners, then slowly rebuilding them hasn't always been easy, but that process has sharpened their perspective, deepened their empathy, and made them more attuned to what really matters. Together, the crew explores what it means to grow with the sport rather than against it: redefining success, embracing rest, finding identity beyond medals and splits, and guiding athletes to run not just stronger but smarter - all while cultivating a deeper relationship with the sport and, in turn, with themselves.Ummm, triple stroller Guinness World Record?!? Hootie & the Blowfish singalongs??? Gilligan's Island & Andy Griffith (yeah we old)! Jesus, is that you? Tornadoes, Facebook pokes and bilateral FAI, oh my!This and so much more in a laughter-filled, wisdom-packed, and deeply heartfelt running mama edition of the PRP.
In this episode, I sit with the words of Thomas Merton, an American Trappist monk, writer, and mystic whose reflections on faith, identity, and community continue to resonate decades after his death. Merton warns against what he calls “the heresy of individualism,” the temptation to define ourselves only by what we're not, to build our lives on separation and judgment. His challenge struck me deeply, because I've lived that temptation: shrinking myself, building an island of “no,” and cutting myself off from connection. In this conversation, I explore what it means to move off the island, to see others as mirrors, and to rediscover the breath of the Spirit by starting with yes. I was on a plane recently watching the new Bob Dylan movie when a scene with Pete Seeger stopped me in my tracks. Why in the world would a folk singer be in court over a song? That moment opened up a hidden history I had never been taught: “This Land Is Your Land” wasn't just a patriotic anthem, it was a protest. And it made me start to see a bigger pattern. We do this all the time. We take prophets, revolutionaries, artists, even Jesus himself, and we sanitize them. We file down the edges until all that's left is a safe version that won't disrupt us. In this episode, I want to ask: what do we lose when we do that? And what might happen if we went searching for the verses, the voices, the truths that were cut out? This podcast is Part Two of the Seven Part Series with LA Marzulli addressing the impact of the antichrist spirit as it expresses itself through the seed of the serpent. The Nephilim (Fallen Ones) plan is the powers and principalities attempt to bring forth the seed of the serpent. This podcast deals with the Family, the most basic social unit in our society or any society for that matter . Thoughts will be presented on how the Enemy of our souls has programmed us to believe lies which have effectively deconstructed the family. From Feminism in the 1960's through the abortions promulgated in the 1970's families have been broken. The emasculation of men, preventing them from maturing into fathers and thereby creating fatherlessness has been a major tool of the enemy to break down the family. The effect of fatherlessness is that children become broken adults and do not realize their callings and destinies. This is all about to change and God is calling for the return of the fathers. The whole earth groans awaiting for the sons of God (Bene Elohim). These sons are those who have a Father's heart. They desire to protect, provide and mentor the next generation. Come listen to LA relate several stories from his experiences in life that reveal the real attempts by Evil to destroy the family. Evil wants to steal, kill and destroy our God given destiny . God is moving against the Enemies plan. Come listen to what God is doing.Blessings:Papa Tom
This week, we wrap up our series on PTA by discussing his most recently released film: 2021's Licorice Pizza. It's an often uncomfortable but entrancing hangout movie set in the 1970s. We dig it. Then, we say goodbye to PTA by attempting to rank all 9 of his films. This was a tough one. Lastly, Alien Earth episode 5! Holy shit. Shiba Inu, XYZ, and PENGU are grabbing attention as traders seek the next big move. Each coin has sparked bold predictions ahead of the coming year. What drives their price targets for 2025, and which one could see the highest jump? A closer look at the data and trends may reveal which contender stands out. Shiba Inu (SHIB) Source: TradingView SHIB trades between $0.0000116366 and $0.0000129366. It slipped 3.63% this week, edged up 0.99% over the month, and is down 3.47% in 6 months. The chart shows a narrow band with no clear longer trend. The 10-day average price at $0.000012149 sits just below the 100-day level at $0.0000122698, keeping the coin in a tight zone. The strength index reads 51.77, a balanced spot, but the fast oscillator at 87.30 hints at buying fatigue. Momentum is slightly negative, so the market waits near $0.0000122 for a fresh cue. A break above $0.0000136833 could lift SHIB about 12%, with room to stretch to $0.0000149833 for a 23% gain. If sellers take control, support at $0.0000110833 is 9% lower, and deeper bids near $0.0000097833 are 20% under current levels. With mixed signals and a flat month, sideways moves are likely, punctuated by quick tests of these limits. Undervalued $XYZ Meme Coin Gears Up for Listing on a Major CEX XYZVerse ($XYZ) is the meme coin that has grabbed headlines with its ambitious claim of rising from $0.0001 to $0.1 during a presale phase. So far, it has gone halfway, raising over $15 million, and the price of the $XYZ token currently stands at $0.005. At the next 14th stage of the presale, the $XYZ token value will further rise to $0.01, meaning that early investors have the chance to secure a bigger discount. Following the presale, $XYZ will be listed on major centralised and decentralised exchanges. The team has not disclosed the details yet, but they have put a teaser for a big launch. Born for Fighters, Built for Champions XYZVerse is building a community for those hungry for big profits in crypto - the relentless, the ambitious, the ones aiming for dominance. This is a coin for true fighters - a mindset that resonates with athletes and sports fans alike. $XYZ is the token for thrill-seekers chasing the next big meme coin. Central to the XYZVerse story is XYZepe - a fighter in the meme coin arena, battling to climb the charts and make it to the top on CoinMarketCap. Will it become the next DOGE or SHIB? Time will tell. Community-First Vibes In XYZVerse, the community runs the show. Active participants earn hefty rewards, and the team has allocated a massive 10% of the total token supply - around 10 billion $XYZ - for airdrops, making it one of the largest airdrops on record. Backed by solid tokenomics, strategic CEX and DEX listings, and regular token burns, $XYZ is built for a championship run. Every move is designed to boost momentum, drive price growth, and rally a loyal community that knows this could be the start of something legendary. Airdrops, Rewards, and More - Join XYZVerse to Unlock All the Benefits Pudgy Penguins (PENGU) Source: TradingView PENGU has slipped 5.3% this week and 13.82% in the past month, now trading between $0.0266 and $0.0331. The dip looks small beside the 374.87% leap seen over six months, so early buyers remain far ahead. The token sits just under its 100-day average of $0.0294, a level traders keep watching. Short-term mood is mixed. The momentum gauge reads 44.7, neither hot nor cold. A speed meter at 79.7 shows price swings stay active, while the trend line is slightly negative. With the 10-day average at 0.0286 above spot bids, nervous buyers need fresh volume to flip the near-term picture. If price breaks $0.0372 the path opens toward $0.0438, a rise of about 35% from mid-range quotes. Above that, the six-month rally could restart. Failure to hold $0.0242 risks a drop to $0.0177, taking away roughly 32%. Given the long-term uptrend and neutral momentum, odds lean toward a slow push higher, yet the coin may stay boxed in until a c...
What is the role of Palestinian artists during the genocide in Gaza? For Palestinian curator Ahmed al-Alaqra it is not about glorifying cultural symbolism like the watermelon. In fact, artistic institutions should shut their doors."Burn the thawbs, destroy the watermelon."This episode was recorded in the summer of 2024 in Sirdab studios in Ramallah, on the occupied West Bank.If you enjoy Kalam Podcast and want to support the show, there is an excellent way to do so - by signing up to our Patreon. This episode started with a reel: Two pastors, loud and confident, claiming they were standing in the footsteps of Jesus by resisting culture and government control. And while I disagreed with their message, something deeper stirred in me. Because I've heard that same level of certainty on the other side too, in the progressive voices I often align with. And honestly? I've heard it in myself. So the question that kept echoing wasn't just “Who's right?” it was “Is that even the right question anymore?” In this episode, I explore the danger of certainty, the ways we all use scripture to back ourselves up, and the spiritual cost of needing to always be right. But more than that, I ask: Is any of this moving us closer to something good? Something more free, more human, more like Jesus? Growing up, the book of Revelation and the feeling of fear went hand on hand. It was the book of the Bible used to convince us to follow Christ. Books and movies have been made in efforts to bring Revelation to life. Well, not this time around. For the recording of “Deconstructing Revelation”, we had Dr. Angela Parker as a special guest. We have a profound amount of respect for Dr. Parker in these TFC streets. She's a Professor, New Testament Scholar, Womanist, and Justice Leader. In a world where everyone seems to be talking past each other, online, in politics, and even in the church, what would it look like to slow down and actually see the person in front of us? In this episode, I explore the word sonder, the realization that every person you encounter is living a life as vivid and complex as your own and how Jesus embodied that in every interaction. From the woman caught in adultery to Zacchaeus to the bleeding woman, Jesus saw the human before the problem, the wound before the wrong. I also wrestle with my own struggle to do the same, especially in a culture addicted to clicks, likes, and quick takes. This isn't just about changing the way we speak to others. It's about challenging ourselves to speak from a place that sees, honors, and values the humanity of the person right in front of us. In this intimate solo episode, Kehla peels back the curtain on the messy middle of a massive life and identity shift. Off the heels of the What She Did Next series, she drops into real time (recorded in early August, dropping September 1st) to share what's been unfolding behind the scenes—before the clarity, before the breakthrough, before things are “figured out.” This is a soul-to-soul riff on: ✨ Outgrowing your current reality (and what it really feels like to leave the comfort zone) ✨ How a townhouse move became a spiritual awakening ✨ Deconstructing the inner manager running your life + business ✨ Releasing control in relationships and the emotional labor women carry ✨ Why the most successful season can still feel like you're scrambling at the bottom of the ocean ✨ How subconscious work creates real-world breakthroughs in love, money, and mission ✨ Why the coaching industry is seeing a collective burnout—and how Kehla is choosing to lead differently Whether you're in the thick of a life pivot, business transition, or just feeling like your metaphorical shoes no longer fit—you're not alone. This is for the women who are wildly successful on paper… but quietly unraveling in private—and ready to choose a new way of being. If you've hit $10K months but can't seem to grow beyond it, this episode is for you. It's one of the most common plateaus I see as an e-commerce coach, and today I'm breaking down exactly why it happens (spoiler: it's not just about working harder) and how to move past it with clarity and confidence. This isn't theory. It's based on real conversations with clients, my own journey scaling and selling a fashion brand, and the patterns I see every week inside my mastermind. Inside this episode, I'll walk you through: The hero product blind spot that keeps you stuck in “creating mode” instead of scaling Why under-spending on proven ads might be the real reason your growth has stalled The surprising cost of doing everything yourself and how to start stepping into your CEO role What happens when you don't have a clear end goal (and how to fix it fast) Whether you're still figuring out your bestsellers or already seeing results but can't scale further, this episode will help you spot where the real bottlenecks are and what to do next. ✨ Want the step-by-step breakdown? Deconstructing the old habits and conveniences of excuses, delay, and procrastination…
Erik Fox was a debut author with just 70 sales to his name. Then, one TikTok video exploded to over a million views, turning his psychological thriller Monarch into a viral bestseller overnight. But behind the "overnight success" is a raw story of a failed first project, getting sober, and developing a brutal mindset that refuses to accept excuses. In this episode, Erik Fox reveals the unfiltered truth about his journey. He shares the simple writing habit that allows him to finish books in months, not years, and breaks down the exact moment he realized his fiction had bizarrely predicted a real-life corporate scandal. This conversation is a masterclass in creativity, discipline, and the high personal cost of chasing a dream.
Today, on Karl and Crew, we continued our weekly theme of “Back to School” with some of the professors and staff from the Moody Bible Institute (MBI). First, we had Peter Worrall to discuss how the deconstruction of his faith brought him back to God and about the Christian Worldview. Peter is an Associate Professor of Educational Ministries at MBI. He has also authored the book, “20 Things We’d Tell Our Twentysomething Selves.” Then we had Dr. Samuel Naaman discuss how God led him into missionary work and how to share the gospel with people from other cultures. Dr. Naaman is the professor of Intercultural Studies at MBI. He is also the Vice President of Call of Hope, which reaches Muslims for Christ. He is also the President and co-founder of the South Asian Friendship Center, which aims to reach Muslims and Hindus. We also discussed the importance of reading the Word to accurately and effectively share the gospel. We turned to 2 Timothy 2:14-18, where it shows the importance of knowing the word and not adding to or taking away from it. Then we had Brian Kammerzelt join us to discuss the changing landscape of media with AI and the need for theologically informed communicators. Episode 200! I can't quite believe we've reached this point: two hundred conversations, stories, and reflections shared with you. And for this milestone, I wanted to talk about something that's been weaving through all of them: the power of metaphor. From Iron Man's first suit to the parables of Jesus, from Joseph Campbell's wisdom to Pete Holmes' “finger and moon,” metaphors shape how we see the world and ourselves. In this episode of Clemenz With a “Z”, I explore why we need metaphors, how they sneak past our defenses to speak to the heart, and what happens when we mistake the metaphor for the thing itself. Along the way, I connect modern myths like Marvel movies to ancient scripture, and even take a surprising detour into The Lord of the Rings to unpack Smeagol's haunting transformation into Gollum. Whether it's a shepherd, a superhero, or a hobbit clutching his “precious,” these stories are pointing us toward something bigger, if we're willing to look past the finger and see the moon. In this conversation, Monte Mader shares her journey from a conservative upbringing in a deeply evangelical environment to her current role as a content creator and advocate for deconstructing harmful ideologies. She discusses the impact of her upbringing on her beliefs, the importance of education and exposure to diverse perspectives, and the role of personal trauma in shaping her views. The conversation also touches on the intersection of politics and religion, the influence of Christian nationalism, and the power of compassion and forgiveness in familial relationships.
What do a punk rock lyric and the teachings of Jesus have in common? More than you might think. In this episode, inspired by Frank Turner's raw line from “1933”: “Be suspicious of simple answers, that shit's for fascists (and maybe teenagers)”. We dive headfirst into the beauty and challenge of the messy middle. From the “greatest commandment” conversation in the Gospels to the wisdom of mystics like Teresa of Ávila, Thomas Merton, and Richard Rohr, this is an invitation to live in the tension, embrace complexity, and resist the lure of easy answers. If you've ever felt like life, faith, and God are anything but simple, you're in good company. I love Nintendo. I still do. This company makes some of my favorite systems and games and has also given me some of my favorite memories. What if no one sees the whole picture and that's the point? In this episode, I explore the ancient parable of the blind men and the elephant through the lens of my time in the ICOC, where we weren't just taught that we held the truth we were the truth. But faith shaped by geography, cultural inheritance, and rigid certainty eventually started to crack. This episode is about those cracks. About what happens when we mistake our piece for the whole. About how the voices we were taught to ignore might just be holding something sacred. And about the possibility that listening, really listening, might be one of the holiest things we can do. This week's episode is all about spiritual deconstruction, what it is, why it happens, and what comes after. I'm joined by Brittney Hartley, an atheist spiritual director with a Master's in Theology who has created a captivated following with her content. I love how Brittany talks about this topic with honesty, clarity, and depth. I wanted to bring this topic to the podcast because so much of what I teach is about deconstructing beliefs that no longer work for us and figuring out what does actually work for you. Religion is often one of those things. From both my personal experience and what I know so many of you have gone through, I think you're going to love this conversation with Brittney. Here's what really hit me in our conversation: spiritual deconstruction isn't just about walking away from religion. It's about rebuilding a sense of meaning that actually aligns with who you are, not who you were told to be. Brittney shares what helped her through the unlearning process, how religious trauma shows up in sneaky ways (especially for women), and why reclaiming your intuition and identity is deeply spiritual work. What you'll hear about in this episode: Brittney's spiritual deconstruction story from Mormonism to theology school to becoming an Atheist Spiritual Director (5:40) Personality traits more likely to lead to deconstruction (spoiler: empathy, curiosity, and authenticity play a big role) (13:27) The sneakier signs of spiritual trauma for women raised in patriarchal religions (15:33) Anchors and practices that helped Brittney rebuild her identity, including discovering core values (20:34) The biggest culprit of religious trauma for women (28:35) Resources from this episode: Interested in doing deeper work within a group setting and with me? In this episode of Clemenz With a “Z”, I take a deep dive into a sermon titled Sex By Design, delivered at a Christian marriage retreat. The pastor laid out what he called the “6 Divine Truths About Sex” (and their “demonic counterparts”), while his wife stood silently beside him the entire time. I walk through each so-called truth, unpacking the theology, the metaphors, the unspoken subtext, and the ways these messages still shape, and often harm our understanding of sex, intimacy, and worth. Along the way, I share my own “Divine Truths About Sex,” ones rooted not in fear or control, but in agency, healing, and the belief that your boundaries, your story, and your body are yours. In this deeply compelling and eye-opening episode, we sat down with historian and viral TikTok creator Tad Stoermer, whose work dismantles the "Patriot Myth" and reimagines the American narrative. With a resume that includes Colonial Williamsburg, Johns Hopkins, Harvard, and a PhD in history, Tad is anything but your typical academic. We unpack how his journey from Capitol Hill to the classroom — and eventually to social media — led him to challenge everything he'd been taught about the founding of the United States. His powerful deconstruction of the sanitized version of history we've all been fed is nothing short of radical truth-telling. Tad's upcoming book, Resistance: A History of the United States, aims to reframe the American story through the lens of those who have fought back — often at great personal cost — in the name of equity and justice. In this episode, we dig into why real resistance isn't about fast wins, how joy itself can be an act of rebellion, and why he believes the stories we've erased are actually where the real American heroes live. Oh, and we talk about why Alexander Hamilton might've been, well, kind of an asshole. You'll laugh, you'll gasp, and you'll walk away changed. CONNECT WITH TAD:

In this episode, I wrestle with one of the hardest, and most liberating truths I've come to face: that the pain, division, and harm in our world isn't just the result of some ancient curse or cosmic enemy. It's us. We've been taught to blame Satan, to blame Adam, to see ourselves as born broken. But what if that story isn't the whole story? What if we carry both light and dark within us, and what if the power to heal begins when we finally stop blaming and start owning? From wolves and theology to shame, sin, and systems, this episode is a call to step into honest reflection… and hopeful responsibility. In this episode, I reconnect with Mark Weiss, who originally joined me for Episode 772 of the podcast after accepting my challenge to read The Four Agreements and go deep with its wisdom. What follows is an unfiltered, soul-level conversation about the journey of deconstructing personality—of learning to recognize and dismantle the masks we've unconsciously worn for years. Mark vulnerably shares how he's been shifting his relationship with judgment, ownership, habit, and personal integrity. He talks about how reading the book helped him respond more calmly in his marriage, honor his word to himself, and begin dismantling the layers of identity shaped by childhood, culture, and survival mechanisms. We explore the difference between habits and choices, the power of conscious awareness, and the invitation to see deconstruction not as something “hard,” but as a sacred adventure in returning to the truth of who we are. This episode is for anyone who's ever said, “I want to change, but it's so hard,” or who's been caught in cycles of guilt and inertia. It's a reminder that every time we wake up to a patterned response, we have the power to chisel away another layer that doesn't belong. What if your transformation doesn't need to be heavy? What if it could be a joyful unraveling? This conversation is proof that it can.
