(2 Thessalonians 3:6-18) - In this section of his letter Paul would command the Thessalonians to take the next step - in dealing with a small group of unruly brethren who were expecting to be supported by the - local church. (2 Thessalonians 2:13-3:5) - Paul expressed his thankfulness to God for their reception of the gospel which had changed - their lives in such significant ways. He encouraged them to be firmly established in the truths - that they were taught, so they would not be quickly shaken by false teaching. (2 Thessalonians 2:1-12) - Paul confirms his original instruction to the Thessalonians that Christ could come - for church-age saints at any moment.
