This revitalization of the firehouse, today known as Aspire House, will serve as a catalyst for others to invest in the neighborhood. The revitalization is already receiving volunteers who believe in the vision and serves as home to sports camps, chess in the park and random, spontaneous community cookouts. The goal of Aspire House is unite the building’s owners, residents, local college art students and others to create a functional space. The space will showcase art creations and installations that reflect the history of the Firehouse. The second and third floor of the building will be residential units. Even when that help extends to individuals stigmatized for their connection to perpetrators.  Families of perpetrators are also victims who are often overlooked and require healing as well. Today’s society exposes individuals to a variety of experiences too soon and too intense, when compounded with life’s everyday stressors they can become overwhelming.   The stress impacts each person differently and can interfere with carrying out daily tasks as well as the physical performance in sports. Her experiences as both an athlete and a coach equip her with a unique perspective and understanding of the issues athletes encounter that impact performance.  She works with the athlete to enhance the ability to be coached, effectively practice and perform in an overall healthier mental state.
