Send us a textWelcome to Episode 233! Being summoned to meetings is a daily event for so many folks. Thankfully most of our meetings are not televised worldwide. But most of us aren't making decisions that effect not just an entire country, but effects the whole world.Last week RFK Jr., the Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS) which includes the Center for Disease Control (CDC), was summoned to The Hill to testify under oath to a Senate sub-committee. And what a shi*show it was. The meeting was probably worse than anyone would have expected. His gravelly voice wasn't just nails on a chalkboard, it was static on a 1950's television when there was nothing on a channel. The sub-committee members lit the inept and unqualified Secretary up! From reports of chaos in the ranks for the CDC, to firings of those not supporting his views and demands, to his dangerous and conspiracy laden beliefs of vaccines... it was fireworks and the Senators laid bare for all to see their failure in confirming his nomination and many, many reasons we should all be petrified for the our health. While his voice was already a wreck, RFK Jrs leather face wasn't scorched off under all the heat! But first things first! This week is kicking off with The Boys taking a walk down memory lane through their experiences in middle and high school which leads to some tall tales of their teachers and experiences with peers. This week's Trash Talk topics include, the alien from Alien making an appearance on the actual Senate's floor (how did it get through security?), a judge who reads the wrong verdict in court, Tucker Carlson wants details on gay sex, and finding your high school bullies on "the apps".All this and recommendations too?? Phew! It's a jam packed episode so you're gonna wanna listen to the whole damn thing. This one's got hilarity ten times over, discourse in discussion, and your GBFFs are bringing all the f*ggotry! So pour ya a nice glass of port vintage, and pull up a seat to the table to join Casey & Mark, your GBFFs. On this week's potentially award-winning episode of Trash Talk with Count Binface is esteemed Earth comedian Richard Herring. He's made cancer funny, poked fun at fascism and even made a whole show about your funny human male reproductive organ - so what will 45 minutes with Count Binface bring? Well... has the BBC forgotten how to do comedy? What's the obsession with Edinburgh? And does having teachers for parents make it inevitable that you'll go into comedy. BREAKING NEWS - as we record this it seems Peter Mandelson (sorry... LORD Peter Mandelson... FFS) has been sacked / asked to stand down / professionally removed from office AGAIN. This unfortunately means we didn't have space to talk about Nadine Dorries, flags on lamp-posts, Angela Rayner, or any of what passes for 'news' in America at the moment. If you liked this episode may we suggest some others you might like?Stewart LeeIan HislopMark GatissLewis MacLeodAs ever please leave a review, a 5-star rating and hit follow to make sure you receive new episodes every week. It's the 50th episode of Trash Talk with Count Binface next week... so maybe we'll receive a nice card or two. Not that we're saying Donald sent that card to Jeffrey, because he definitely didn't. In this episode, we dive into a growing issue in the RC racing community: track bashing. Whether it's on social media, in the pits, or between races, negative comments about tracks and events seem to be on the rise. Is there a better way to give feedback without tearing each other down?Whether you've been on the receiving end or caught yourself venting a little too hard, this is a conversation the RC world needs to have.

"It's just not cricket" is a British English idiom meaning something is unfair, dishonest, or goes against the rules of decency or moralitySo what makes cricket the benchmark of decency? To find out our guest this week is Daniel Norcross one of the most recognisable voices on Test Match Special - the BBC's flagship cricket programme. Perhaps not surprisingly this is the longest interview we've done - it turns out a man who is trained to speak endlessly often during a break for rain can, well, speak endlessly. Don't worry though - our human editing team have trimmed it down to the usual Trash Talk length - so if you want to hear Dan's comparison of the cricket off-season to World War 2... you'll have to listen to Test Match Special. Dan really is a legend - and if you don't like cricket this episode is worth listening to for his sheer passion alone. Enjoy. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
