In this edition of Half a Podcast, we will be discussing the supplementation of essential vitamins and minerals. However, we won't be focusing on how to take them, but rather on understanding the best practices around marketing, purchasing, and consuming them. This episode was a challenging one to create because it deals with sensitive issues. While I aim to operate from a place of grace and love, I must address the fact that many practices around selling vitamin supplements are unethical at best and dangerous at worst. I welcome any feedback you may have on this topic. Half a Podcast is powered by Half Belly Health, a passion project of mine as your half hostess. How many times have you heard, "You just need to find that work/life balance" OR "How do you balance work and life?" I am going to say something that may be an unpopular opinion. Ready? Balance doesn't exist. Period. As a mom, I believe this even more now. These kids are crazy. The to-do list is out of control. This house isn't cleaning itself. Balance is a myth and totally unnecessary. What I do believe in is HARMONY. Things don't need to balance perfectly or even at all, but harmony is crucial. As a mom, it can be difficult, if not dang near impossible, to work your business AND do all the mommy things, but one thing has worked brilliantly for me. INVOLVE YOUR KIDS! Easier said than done, but this is the thing. Your kiddos want to be a part of your business. This is how I include my two kiddos in my business.
A little bird’s eye view of my first year in the direct sales industry and my biggest regret!
The idea of direct sales wasn’t just something that scared me. It repulsed me! Yet here I am talking to you about direct sales. So this episode really just answers the big question, “why direct sales?” This is my story down The Direct Road.
