How can you manage your time as a busy mom? How can you work on your dreams when the mountain of laundry is calling your name and the kids are home from school because of covid again!? Today we are talking about how to manage your time using the power pockets method. As well as, the microwave minute. I know that time management feels challenging as a busy mom and that's because most of the time our days are unpredictable, like our kids. Cara was one of those people that used to schedule in her day hour-by-hour — until she had kids that is! How can you use those tiny minute chunks throughout the day and maximize them? Because sometimes that's all that we get as a busy mom — those tiny chunks. Power pockets are a different way to look at your schedule. It does require one hard thing though, and that is ditching the mindset of perfection in our schedule. Ditching the: “I can't work on this goal until my kids are older” thoughts. Let's map out your power pockets strategically today! FREE GOAL SETTING SERIES: https://apurposedrivenmom.com/goals A PURPOSE DRIVEN MOM SHOW NOTES: apurposedrivenmom.com/podcast194/

Topics covered within that discussion include the bench being the real reason Milwaukee keeps losing, how the team will perform against a fairly tough upcoming schedule, the red flags surrounding Jordan Nwora recently, and Ti's heartless take on DJ Wilson finding a new NBA home in Toronto. Andrea Mitchell's attack of Biden's statement on oil prices lacks critical thought & skews polls: When the media discuss Republicans, they often use false equivalences. Andrea Mitchell's attack of Biden's statement shows a bias. Andrea Mitchell should know better. Most importantly, the lack of critical thinking and thinking through different levels of indirection is disconcerting. After all, the public still creds the mainstream media (MSNBC, CNN, ABC, CBS, NBC) even as Fox News remains a lying cultish network. ‘Not True': Sanders Counters Manchin's Bogus Inflation Argument Against Build Back Better: Sen. Bernie Sanders on Thursday countered fellow Sen. Joe Manchin's recent Fox News appearance with an op-ed on the right-wing outlet's website aimed at rebutting the West Virginia Democrat's falsehood-laden talking points against the Build Back Better Act. “Manchin, the Republicans, and corporate America say this bill will add to our national debt and make inflation worse. Not true,” wrote Sanders (I-Vt.), the chair of the Senate Budget Committee. “Unlike the bloated military budget that Manchin recently voted for, which adds $778 billion to the deficit this year alone and costs four times more than the Build Back Better Act over a 10-year period, the White House has said this bill is fully paid for” with tax hikes on the wealthy. --- If you like what we do please do the following! It is illustrative about the spiritual bankruptcy of Progressivism. I decided to record a video blog going over the article. This was my first shot at vlogging, so I did misspeak once when I referred to the Fifth Commandment (I said, “steal” when I meant “kill”). For some, the gym can be a scary place, let alone working with a personal trainer. Either from experience or hearing other people's anecdotes, it seems like personal trainers only focus on fat loss and that is it. Often, these trainers may not have good relationships with their own bodies and with food, and they're projecting that onto their clients. What does the alternative look like? In today's episode, I talk to Kira Onysko, a non-diet focused personal trainer. She helps her clients reach their fitness goals, stay more consistent, increase their motivation, without an emphasis on their weight loss and body from an outward aesthetic perspective.  During our conversation, Kira shares why fitness trainers' language causes more damage than they think when it comes to their clients fitness goals, why health is more than what you eat (that pizza slice is nothing to feel guilty over),  and learning to ditch the toxic mindset around fitness. As a recent newlywed Kira also shares her journey of preparing for a wedding without the stress of needing to be in a certain size.  In this episode, we cover: What is a non-diet personal trainer and  language to avoid when it comes to focusing on clients health and fitness goals [3:47] Ditching the common “trainer” mentality [9:44] Embracing the benefits of rest days rather than focus on exercise as a means to change your body [11:46] Learn to enjoy exercise and do workouts that you like doing not what you think you should be doing [20:13] How Kira prepared her body and mind for a wedding without stressing [22:52] Balancing your workout routine and tips for getting into weight training [29:26] Kira shares advice on diet, weddings and fitness [37:20] Connect with Kira: Instagram: @kiraonysko Website: www.yourtrainerkira.com Connect with Deanna: IG: @dietitiandeanna Website: https://dietitiandeanna.com  This episode is sponsored by Food Freedom Breakthrough, my three month transformative online group coaching program. My guest on the show this week is the proprietor of the Feminist Current website and the Same Drugs video podcast, Meghan Murphy. Meghan is well known as a feminist who comes from the left. However, with her evolution over recent years, she has come to realize that as some of her stances change, it's better to avoid political labels altogether. While some of her principles remain unchanged, many of her "labels" have been tarnished by others. As you know, some of my labels have been tarnished over the years as well, so I really relate to Meghan on this. We discuss feminism, prostitution, COVID, the patriarchy, Meghan's relocation to Mexico from Canada, and much more. This was a really enjoyable conversation for me, and I think you'll enjoy it too. As every current and aspiring entrepreneur knows, time is money so capitalizing on the right now is essential. How do you do that? Real estate investing!Today's guest, Rachel Morrow, knew the importance of capitalizing on the right now. At merely 20 years old she was on her way to med school when she realized she wanted to start building wealth. During her warehouse shifts, she began listening to real estate podcasts and recognized real estate was not only something she wanted to do but something she could do. This led to a big transition period in her life from the path she had always known to the path less traveled, but once she made that mindset shift, that was it.The change didn't happen instantaneously. She had to completely start anew and work towards her goals which at one point meant working 60 hours a week for a year to get pre-approved for a loan. Her drive and persistence allowed her to close on 4 units with hopes of closing on more single-family homes in the future. Why wouldn't everyone invest in solar? Well, for that reason exactly: it's an investment. Although it's praised for its low maintenance costs and long-term savings, it is still a hefty investment in terms of individual finance cost, manufacturing, and installation. The production of solar panels requires expensive raw material, such as high-grade silicon, and silver for the wiring and cells. If the industry could just get the cost of materials down, the climate and environmental benefits would extend far beyond the energy sector. An Australian organization called SunDrive solar recently made headlines for their use of copper wiring in solar cells, opening up the opportunity for solar production costs to plummet and increase global solar adoption. New host David Banmiller is joined by PV Magazine Founding Editor Jonathan Gifford to examine this achievement, and what it could mean for solar.
