In this episode, I sit down with the incredibly talented Adèle Odette, and we go deep into the magic that happens when you're truly seen—not just by others, but by yourself.Adèle shares her journey from the structure of law to the soul of photography, and how this pivot became a path to deeper purpose. We talk about the sacred power of visual identity—not in the filtered, curated sense—but in capturing your essence, your truth, your becoming. We explore how a thoughtfully planned photoshoot can be so much more than just “content creation.” It can be a mirror. A portal. A reclamation. Especially when it comes to boudoir photography, where Adèle creates the kind of safe, sacred space where women can shed the layers, drop the armour, and come home to themselves.Of course, we also unpack what's happening in the wider space—how AI is impacting the creator economy, why authenticity in branding isn't just a trend (it's the foundation), and how human design can guide us to build businesses that actually feel good. This conversation is for the woman ready to reintroduce herself to herself. To stand in her story. To build a brand rooted in truth, not performance. If you've been craving depth, alignment, and the kind of empowerment that comes from within—not from external validation—this episode will land.Ready to be seen?I've got you._______________________________________________Connect with meClick here to work with Adele https://www.byadelephotography.com/Click here to read about our brand shoot https://www.byadelephotography.com/elaine-kellys-personal-branding-photoshoot-embodying-leadership-power-and-elegance-in-mallorca/Click here to book a connection call and discuss the Brand Your Brilliance Package https://www.essentiallyelaine.com/connection-callClick here to get your Human Design Blueprint https://www.essentiallyelaine.com/human-design-foundational-blueprint_______________________________________________This podcast is for educational purposes only. In this episode of Please Me, host Eve sits down with the incredibly talented self-taught portrait photographer, Melissa Ushtchenko. Melissa specializes in boudoir self-portraits, creating a unique blend of art and self-reflection that goes far beyond the traditional selfie. They dive into the empowering process of capturing oneself through the lens, discussing the therapeutic and meditative qualities of self-portraiture, and how it helps build confidence and a deeper connection with one's body. Melissa shares her journey from brand photography to becoming a boudoir photographer, ignited by a moment of divine inspiration during the pandemic. She explains how boudoir self-portraits differ from the usual Instagram selfies and how the solo experience of self-photography allows individuals to explore and express their true selves without the influence of external judgment. Throughout the conversation, Eve and Melissa explore the importance of embracing the "messiness" of the process, both in photography and in life, and how this acceptance can lead to beautiful, unexpected results. They also discuss how this practice can be a powerful tool for people recovering from surgeries or learning to love their bodies after significant changes. Melissa also talks about her course that guides people in creating their own self-portrait practice, offering a space for continuous self-discovery and empowerment. The episode wraps up with tips on how to prepare for a boudoir session, including the importance of being present, tapping into sensuality, and creating a personalized, sensory-rich environment. Christen has been a photographer for 17 years and started shooting boudoir about 12 years ago. When she did, she never looked back. Boudoir is now her specialty and passion and it shows! I visited her studio in Amesbury, MA and got the full experience from hair and make up with the talented Christine Rutledge to choosing just the right outfits and yes, the shoot. Christen is incredible at not only showing her clients how to pose but bringing those poses to life in amazing photos. She helps with lighting, poses and confidence. It's more than just a shoot for both of these ladies, it's an experience!

In the Lord of the Rings trilogy, Frodo becomes invisible when he puts the Ring on his finger. Well, at banks in the 1970s, this is basically what happened when a woman put a wedding ring on her finger. Her credit cards would no longer work, and the banks wouldn't count her income as part of the household income. This led to a fight for women's financial independence that gave rise to the landmark Equal Credit Opportunity Act (or ECOA) and the creation of the first women's banks. In honor of the 50th anniversary of ECOA becoming law, we're looking back at a time when women had to have their husband or father cosign on a credit application. What did it take to pass this landmark legislation? And how did it improve women's lives in America? In this episode of Please Me, host Eve sits down with the incredibly talented self-taught portrait photographer, Melissa Ushtchenko. Melissa specializes in boudoir self-portraits, creating a unique blend of art and self-reflection that goes far beyond the traditional selfie. They dive into the empowering process of capturing oneself through the lens, discussing the therapeutic and meditative qualities of self-portraiture, and how it helps build confidence and a deeper connection with one's body.Melissa shares her journey from brand photography to becoming a boudoir photographer, ignited by a moment of divine inspiration during the pandemic. She explains how boudoir self-portraits differ from the usual Instagram selfies and how the solo experience of self-photography allows individuals to explore and express their true selves without the influence of external judgment.Throughout the conversation, Eve and Melissa explore the importance of embracing the "messiness" of the process, both in photography and in life, and how this acceptance can lead to beautiful, unexpected results. They also discuss how this practice can be a powerful tool for people recovering from surgeries or learning to love their bodies after significant changes.Melissa also talks about her course that guides people in creating their own self-portrait practice, offering a space for continuous self-discovery and empowerment. The episode wraps up with tips on how to prepare for a boudoir session, including the importance of being present, tapping into sensuality, and creating a personalized, sensory-rich environment.Links to Get in Touch with Melissa Ushtchenko:Website: Instagram: Support the Show.Support the Show Explore these affiliates and support Please Me Podcast: Website: Please Me Online - Reach Eve and stay connected. Questions answered this episode: I've always heard that as long as the sexual union ends in intercourse anything goes but I've never heard any guidance on what happens next and what could be considered masturbation in marriage. Do you have any guidance? Are boudoir photoshoots immoral? I'd like to go deeper into the topic of chastity. Which book would you recommend?
