Ashley showed up for her 20 week anatomy scan ultrasound just like any other mom - excited to see her sweet baby on the screen and to walk away with some photos to show off to family and friends. But her excitement was quickly disrupted with an in utero diagnosis. Ashley's daughter presented with a heart defect formally known as Tetraology of Fallot with Pulmonary Atresia. This led to many moments of panic, anxiety, and worry, referral to follow-up visits with specialists, big decisions, and a completely different pregnancy and delivery experience than Ashley ever imagined for herself. In this podcast, we dive into the importance of advocating for yourself or your child any time a diagnosis is received, strategies for handling unexpected diagnosis, and navigating parenthood when your child has a diagnosis. You won't want to miss hearing Ashley's story and I know, as moms, we need the reminder to relinquish control sometimes...to let go of expectations...and to live without letting our challenges define us. Support the showLet's connect on social media! When you have a vision, you can't sleep until you bring it to life. When you decide to start a business, it becomes your life, which leads to more visions, and a lot less sleep. One of the most important pieces of advice I could give to any entrepreneur would be to remember your company's mission, values, and ethics, or if those aren't set in stone yet base it on your personal values and ethics, even if it comes at the cost of profitability or more work. Thats exactly what Ashley Stone has done with Beauty Entourage, while using the software she created to give freelance artists the work they desire, yet the freedom to go out on their own, while paying them above market rate and sharing profits with them. Ashley talks about how she grew her business from the ground up, and her life before becoming an entrepreneur.

You always hear that, "the dream is free but the hustle is sold separately," and that is certainly true for Ashley Stone.  Ashley was bit by the entrepreneur bug very early but she never quite knew what to do with it until she went to her first Arbonne sales conference.  She saw women that lived in the same area of the country as her pulling in some major money and she thought, "why cant I do that?" Taking a leap of faith, she reached out to a high ranking representative in the company and told her that she would do anything she told her to do for 3 months.  Taking on this mentor and a different mentality changed Ashley's life forever.  Find out how this "all in" way of life has impacted her in more ways than one.  You will enjoy hearing about this journey for sure!   I spoke with Ashley Stone, founder of the Bonobo Project for our podcast. I learned a lot about bonobos and during my research and with speaking with Ashley. I also fell in love with these animals. In every picture you see of two or more, they are playing, hugging, having sex and always in phyical contact with each other. They are referred to as the "Make Love Not War" great apes (no they are not monkeys). Out of all the great apes, which include humans, they have never been known to kill one of their own kind. Definitely on the opposite spectrum for violence than humans. I think everyone should know about bonobos because we have a great deal to learn from their behavior.   Facts of bonobos: They are a matriarchal society They are the most peaceful of the great apes They are humans closest living genetic relative They are greatly in danger There are only ~15,000 left in the wild Contact Ashley Stone if you or your classroom is interested in presenting a bonobo or Congo project at: ash.stone92037@gmail.com   *photos provided by The Bonobo Project

Once a year or so, I have this yearning to play around with the most erotic, sensual, sexiest, naughty and most explicit tunes I collect. And it becomes a Darkroom Mix... For late at night, when things get hazy. This one is all about Sex and is NOT suitable for children. You are forewarned. This set is far from being technically perfect but the idea is that once you get into the groove, you will want to see how naughty I got... What tickles my fancy can be a rythm, a beat, lyrics, a performer, a voice.. Any cathalyst to that "ummm" feeling.. And Kim Cooper, Club 69 & Jamie Lewis would be the absolute top in that Genre. Next week we are going to celebrate the 50th of "F" and this set is in many a way most fitting. So, not for Victorian prudes, not politically correct, and yet very, very clever tunes and an hommage to one of my favourite genre: Adult Sexy House! Some jams I had already played with but many I am using for the very first time... So sit back, listen and enjoy... Tracklist: Orgasmic Intro. Junopilot 2006 Stella (Vassili Tsilichristos Remix) [ Xtian Touch Me Edit]. Jam & Spoon 2009 L.O.V.E (Club Mix) {Xtian Edit] . Kim Cooper at the top of her form. I love the nice sexy house groove of "Black Heels" and I am pretty sastified of my edit/mash-up/remix of "We love this Music" and "I'll House You".. I'll will use this again... Come on let's be naughty together...
