Podcast for a deep examination into the career and life choices of Eddie Murphy & Jim Carrey. Joe gets in trouble with internet trolls when his comments get misconstrued as anti-American. Patrick totally supports America, but gives himself gout so he doesn't have to enlist in the military. Lev is being suspiciously quiet about all these shenanigans. Is it because he's selling podcast industry secrets to China? Find out on this week's episode of 'What the Hell Happened to Them?' The Sports Experience Podcast with Chris Quinn and Dominic DiTolla
Episode 272 of “The Sports Experience Podcast” is here & we're beginning our block of episodes on the most famous of Brett Favre's backups. After a successful high school career in Texas, Ty Detmer appeared to be headed for a successful career in college. While many believed his smaller frame and lack of physical traits would hinder him, Detmer was extremely smart and used his knowledge of coverages to his advantage at B.Y.U.. In the mold of so many signal-callers who came before and after him in Provo, Detmer became a star for the Cougars. In 1990, he led Brigham Young to an upset win over Miami (FL), won the Davey O'Brien Award as the country's top quarterback and won the school's first Heisman Trophy. As a senior in 1991, Detmer led the Cougars to another WAC title, won the O'Brien Award again and finished his career as the NCAA's leader in touchdown passes and passing yards. His success with B.Y.U. led to his induction into the College Football HOF in 2012. In 1992 he was drafted by the Green Bay Packers and was a backup there until he signed with Philadelphia in 1996. Filling in for an injured Rodney Peete, Detmer led the Eagles to a postseason berth in his first season with the team. Though he was a backup for almost the entirety of his professional career, Detmer was a coach on the field for many teams during his time in the NFL. Connect with us on Instagram! Listen to a new episode of YNS Live with NFL Thread recorded live on Fireside with hosts Juliet Hahn and Cynthia Zordich featuring Katie Detmer. “I think there is a lot to be said about having a balance especially since we're in the NFL where it's a world of extremes.” - Katie Detmer Katie Detmer's friendly and enthusiastic demeanor coupled with her skillful ability to feature a home's character is matchless. She has been a licensed realtor since 2009. Katie is originally from Hanover, Massachusetts, but has made several moves since graduating from the University of Colorado in Boulder with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. Having lived all over the country, especially when her former husband Koy Detmer was an NFL quarterback, Katie understands the emotion involved with a move. An active and connected community member, Katie supports Dress for Success, St. Jude's, the San Antonio Food Bank and regularly sponsors events throughout the year for Veterans. Her free time is split between traveling with her three children, exercising, and skiing when she gets the chance. Katie is the author of Hope and Oxygen. In her debut novel, Katie touches readers and shares her motto: “It is never as bad as it seems and even though it may be hard, it's never impossible.” Hope and Oxygen is geared to women and single mothers, however, fathers will be able to connect to many of the personal journeys Katie shares - such as learning even if something seems dark, impossible, you just need to take the first five minutes…the first step and keep going. Arrivé dans la capitale des P-O, il créa Cougouyou Music, sous label de Staubgold réservé aux disques d'artistes catalans, et il y ouvrit en 2014 un disquaire du même nom. We had a spirited Saturday show as Scott McKay and I disagree on almost everything. The Eagles, College Football and the Sixers dominate the conversation. The Sports Book Consigliere calls in from Las Vegas with his six pack of picks. Our special guest is former Eagles QB Koy Detmer.
A talk with Congressional Primary Candidate Mike Detmer. Then a discussion about being courageous in the face of lies. Co-hosted by Gary Wellings of The Daily Drift.
Today's show rundown: Chuck talks Afghanistan. We just got out of there, and Joe Biden is a puffed up coward. Biden has said "The buck stops with me", and the retreat from the region has been nothing short of a disaster. This is a totally political move, not a strategic decision at all. But Chuck tells us what Biden is going to get out of this. How the Left and the MSM is going to jump on the bandwagon of "we got out of Afghanistan". But, was the mission accomplished, and at what cost was it for us? What we do know, is that we left a-lot of people behind, and the State Department can NOT tell us who they are. There is some confirmation bias with Biden, where he has been allowed to lie to the American people, and he gets away with it. He has a history of blatantly lying, and we just pass it off as old Crazy Joe. But now that he is the President, it is far harder to just brush this off. Mark believes that Joe Biden is consumed with hatred for Donald Trump, and it is now a psychosis or mental illness. Mark goes on to explain what he means by this. We welcome the guest Mike Detmer. "Whats right with Mike", that he wants to put himself running in The 8th District? Its the issue of NOT sitting around with your kids in the future remembering what Freedom WAS like. We are sitting here watching these people squander the god given freedoms that we have fought for, and THAT is why Mike is doing this. The biggest fundamental problem is that The Left is Socialist, and The Republicans are moving that direction. Biden may not even know he is in The White House. Our State Department has been a mess since the Reagan Era? Is the government trying to put small businesses out of business? Is this how they will push the socialist agenda? How does Mike deal with running his business with the current state of employment and how he can not keep people employed because it is easier for them to sit at home. www.DetmerforCongress.com mikedetmer.patriot@gmail.com https://www.facebook.com/electmikedetmer https://twitter.com/DetmerMike https://www.instagram.com/electmikedetmer https://gettr.com/user/detmermike Mike grew up in a small town in northern Michigan near Traverse City where his parents owned a real estate company and a Christmas tree business. It was as a boy and young man in northern Michigan where he began to learn the value of hard work by spending his days in the Christmas tree fields when not in school. Mike also learned about the outdoors and became a proficient hunter and sportsman. When Mike was a freshman in high school, his parents moved him to Rochester Hills Michigan where he finished high school at Rochester Adams High. After high school, he attended Oakland University where he studied political science and served as President of the College Republicans. Mike graduated in 1998 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. After college, Mike worked as a loan originator for a mortgage broker based in Bloomfield Hills and quickly worked his way up to Vice President of the company. In 1999 he met his lovely wife Kriston and married in 2001. In 2002, the couple moved to Kansas with their special needs Son and opened a branch of the Michigan-based mortgage company. In 2004, Mike switched gears and jumped into the automotive industry after the mortgage company he worked for dissolved in Michigan. After almost 12 years in Kansas, Mike and his wife decided to leave and move to Florida where their Son could finish high school. Their son Zach is profoundly deaf and the schools in Kansas were becoming inadequate. In 2015, the Detmer family returned to Michigan and purchased a home in Howell to be near Kriston's family and now focus attention on their daughter's education. Mike's work in the automotive business and Kriston's...

Ground-breaking research in fertilizer techniques from a soil science expert could increase yield for producers. Dr. Jeff Schoenau and a team of colleagues have recently published a soil study that could change fertilizer techniques and increase crop yields for prairie producers. This new research, conducted using the Canadian Light Source synchrotron at the University of Saskatchewan analyzed the reaction that fertilizers undergo once they hit the soil, and how effective current techniques are in retaining nutrients and micronutrients for plants to use. Schoenau will explain how this can improve a farmers bottom line. Reduced international airline travel, masking, and social distancing to prevent the spread of COVID-19 is being credited for a dramatic reduction in Influenza and other respiratory infections this year. Dr. Susan Detmer is an Associate Professor in the Department of Veterinary Pathology with the Western College of Veterinary Medicine. She says the number of cases of Influenza did go up slightly during the winter but dropped again, and, for humans, there have been record low numbers. Detmer tells us why this information is important when dealing with infections in the animal population and the concerns it generates. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
