Chatham Rock Phosphate Ltd CEO Chris Castle takes Proactive's Stephen Gunnion through the company's history, projects, and future plans. Chatham Rock Phosphate, established by Castle in 2006, focuses on providing a local substitute for rock phosphate in New Zealand, traditionally imported from Morocco. Castle highlighted the environmental benefits of their phosphate, which is free from cadmium and supports sustainable agriculture. The company has made significant progress with its projects, including the imminent production project Korella North, expected to commence in Q4 2024. Castle also discusses larger projects, such as Korella South and Avenir Makatea in French Polynesia. The company's flagship project, Chatham Rise, remains a focal point, bolstered by recent changes in New Zealand's government favouring mineral development. Castle emphasised the critical role of phosphate in agriculture, noting that Canada's recent addition of phosphorus to its critical minerals list underscores the strategic importance of its work. He also mentions growing interest from American investors in their latest private placement. #ChathamRockPhosphate #PhosphateMining #ChrisCastle #NewZealandMining #SustainableAgriculture #CriticalMinerals #ProactiveInterviews #MiningProjects #EnvironmentalSustainability #InvestmentOpportunities#ProactiveInvestors #invest #investing #investment #investor #stockmarket #stocks #stock #stockmarketnews

NIWA were out and about trawling for deep sea discoveries around the Chatham Rise aboard their research vessel the RV Tangaroa and snagged some very interesting specimens. We had a chat with Peter McMillan from NIWA who told us more on some of their fantastic prizes, including one of those scary looking blighters that emits light and eats other fish that give of radiance too, where does this light come from?
