Tess (Cassidy Freeman) creates an elaborate hoax in order to kidnap Green Arrow (Justin Hartley), and delivers him to Amanda Waller (guest star Pam Grier), who tells him that that the government is recruiting him to serve his country. However, Green Arrow escapes before they can reveal his identity. After Oliver brings Clark (Tom Welling) and Chloe (Allison Mack) up to speed, the three investigate and Clark is surprised to find John Jones (guest star Phil Morris) investigating Oliver's kidnapping too. Clark senses that John is keeping information from him. Oliver and Clark are shocked when Tess reveals that Amanda is after something called "Watchtower." Courtney pleads with Hawkman and Dr. Fate to help her catch the killer that is targeting their group but they are reluctant to resume their duties as superheroes. DAVIS STARTS TO SEE HIS DARK SIDE â?? Clark (Tom Welling) looks into a recent attack in a theater that may be the work of a serial killer. Suspecting it could be someone who is meteor-infected, he demands that Chloe (Allison Mack) release the names of the people she is counseling at the Isis Foundation, which causes a rift between the friends. Davis (Sam Witwer) fears that his blackouts could mean that he is the serial killer and collects evidence that may implicate him. Fearing the worst, he confesses his suspicions to Chloe. CHLOE TELLS JIMMY HOW SHE FEELS ABOUT CLARK â?? After they leave their engagement party, Chloe (Allison Mack) and Jimmy (Aaron Ashmore) are abducted by a psychotic jeweler (guest star David Lewis) who was emotionally scarred by his wifeâ??s infidelity and is now kidnapping couples and subjecting them to a kryptonite-enhanced lie detector that shocks them if they lie. The abductor asks Chloe if she is in love with anyone else. Meanwhile, in an effort to find Chloe and Jimmy, Clark (Tom Welling) and Lois (Erica Durance) pose as a couple and are kidnapped themselves then, asked how they feel about each other.

Oliver (Justin Hartley) collapses at a charity event and reveals he only has 24 hours to live. Clark (Tom Welling) and Chloe (Allison Mack) call Davis (Sam Witwer) for help but his prognosis is grim. Delirious, Oliver flashes back to when he was stranded on an island and first learned how to use a bow and arrow. He also recalls meeting Tess (Cassidy Freeman) for the first time on that island after she had been kidnapped by a drug runner. Chloe (Allison Mack) and Clark investigate and discover one member of the Veritas clan has survived and is hiding in a church. Clark and Lex race to be the first to find this mysterious Veritas member, who holds the key to Clark's survival. Kristin Kreuk, Erica Durance, Aaron Ashmore and Laura Vandervoort also star. CLARK SEES WHAT LIFE WOULD BE LIKE IF HE HAD NEVER ARRIVED ON EARTH; TOM WELLING DIRECTS â?? Clark (Tom Welling) discovers that Kara (Laura Vandervoort) sent messages from Krypton in the past that indicate that Brainiac (guest star James Marsters) wants to kill Baby Kal-El so Clark will not exist in the future. Clark is torn because he thinks the world would be better off if he had never arrived in Smallville. Jor-El arranges for him to see what life would have been like if Clark hadn't existed - Lex (Michael Rosenabum) is President of the United States, Kara is raised by the Luthors, Jonathan (John Schneider) is alive, Lana (Kristin Kreuk) is happily married and Chloe (Allison Mack) and Lois (Erica Durance) are ace reporters. Aaron Ashmore also stars.

Clark (Tom Welling) desperately searches for Kara (Laura Vandervoort) and Brainiac (guest star James Marsters) is the only one who can reverse Lana's (Kristin Kreuk) condition. Clark asks Chloe (Allison Mack) to check any large power surges in the area, so she breaks into several government computers, setting off alarms. Jimmy (Aaron Ashmore) is caught between the Department of Security â?? who threatens him with jail time unless he helps them arrest Chloe â?? and Lex (Michael Rosenbaum), who offers to help clear Chloe if Jimmy agrees to be in his debt.
