Aaron and Josh Sarnecky are here for the June installment of their TV podcast. This time the brothers are talking about the Smallville series finale, which recently celebrated its 10th anniversary. Coincidently, the series premiere will celebrate its 20th anniversary later this year. Smallville is a retelling of Superman's origin, focusing on Clark Kent's high school years and early adulthood, largely set in the hero's hometown of Smallville, Kansas. The series premiered October 16, 2001 on The WB. During the show's 217-episode run, The WB merged with UPN to create The CW, where Smallville continued until its tenth season. The two-part series finale aired on May 13, 2011. In the series Clark (Tom Welling, Lucifer) faces many challenges, such as fighting supervillains and balancing his Kryptonian heritage with his desire for a normal life. One of his adversaries is Lex Luthor (Michael Rosenbaum, Justice League Unlimited), with whom he forges a friendship before a falling out. Clark's allies include his adoptive parents, Jonathan (John Schneider, The Dukes of Hazzard) and Martha (Annette O'Toole, Superman III), his high school friend Chloe Sullivan (Allison Mack, Wilfred), and Oliver Queen AKA Green Arrow (Justin Hartley, This Is Us). Lana Lang (Kristin Kreuk, Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li) and Lois Lane (Erica Durance, Saving Hope) serve as Clark's love interests, as they do in the comics. Aaron and Josh go into when they first saw Smallville and their feelings on the show as a whole before breaking down each element of the series finale. The two run into Fortune (guest star James Kidnie), the eccentric casino owner, who accuses them of stealing money from him. Lois (Erica Durance) finds a video made for her by her mother, Ella Lane (Hatcher), before she died. Meanwhile, Tess has a nightmare involving herself as a child and a music box. Upon awakening, she finds the music box in Luthor mansion and sets out to find out who planted it there. Brainiac 5.0 (James Marsters) uses his Legion ring to visit from the future and takes Clark through his past, present and future. He shows Clark what really happened the night Jonathan died, Oliver's (Justin Hartley's) current pain and Clark's future at the Daily Planet with Lois and his role as Earth's favorite red and blue superhero. However, Green Arrow escapes before they can reveal his identity. After Oliver brings Clark (Tom Welling) and Chloe (Allison Mack) up to speed, the three investigate and Clark is surprised to find John Jones (guest star Phil Morris) investigating Oliver's kidnapping too. Clark senses that John is keeping information from him. Oliver and Clark are shocked when Tess reveals that Amanda is after something called "Watchtower." Waller threatens to kill Chloe unless Clark gives her the names and locations of the rest of the Justice League. Tim Scanlan directed the episode written by John Chisholm.

Clark (Tom Welling) meets Zatanna (guest star Serinda Swan) at a comic book convention, where she tells him her father charmed a copy of the comic book "Warrior Angel" and it holds magical powers. A young man named Stephen (guest star Carlo Marks) steals the comic book and develops super powers, transforming himself into Warrior Angel and saving Chloe (Allison Mack) from a horrible accident. Meanwhile, Lois (Erica Durance) becomes jealous of Clark's relationship with Zatanna. Allison Mack directed the episode written by Bryan Q. Miller.

A man named Sylvester Pemberton tracks down Chloe (Allison Mack) and tells her he knows about her team of superheroes and needs their help. However, before he can explain who he is, he is attacked and killed by Icicle (guest star Wesley Macinnes). Clark (Tom Welling) and Chloe's (Allison Mack) investigation leads Clark to the former headquarters of the Justice Society of America where he meets up with Nelson AKA Dr. Fate (guest star Brent Stait), Carter Hall AKA Hawkman (guest star Michael Shanks) and Courtney AKA Star Girl (guest star Britt Irvin). Courtney pleads with Hawkman and Dr. Fate to help her catch the killer that is targeting their group but they are reluctant to resume their duties as superheroes. Clark, John Jones (guest star Phil Morris), Green Arrow (Justin Hartley) and Chloe team up to help the JSA stop Icicle before he murders another member of the group. Meanwhile, Lois (Erica Durance) receives a package from a mysterious agency called Checkmate, run by Amanda Waller (guest star Pam Grier). Geoff Johns wrote the two-hour episode. Superhero twins Zan (guest star David Gallagher) and Jayna (guest star Allison Scagliotti) show up in Metropolis to help The Blur fight crime but end up botching several rescues, landing Clark (Tom Welling) in hot water with the District Attorney's office. The Toyman tells Oliver he must confess to murdering Lex or he will blow the place up. Meanwhile, as part of his training, Jor-El gives Clark (Tom Welling) the ability to hear other people's thoughts. Allison Mack and Erica Durance also star. DC COMICSâ?? LEGION OF SUPER-HEROES ARRIVE IN SMALLVILLE FROM THE FUTURE TO HELP CLARK STOP BRAINIAC AND THE PERSUADER â?? The aftermath of Doomsdayâ??s (Sam Witwer) attack on Chloe (Allison Mack) and Jimmyâ??s (Aaron Ashmore) wedding leaves Clark (Tom Welling) in shock, but before he can search for the kidnapped Chloe, The Persuader (guest star Fraser Aithceson) appears and attacks him. Rokk (guest star Ryan Kennedy), Imra (guest star Alexz Johnson) and Garth (guest star Calum Worthy), also known as The Legion, step in from the future to help vanquish the Persuader and the group realizes Brainiac has taken over Chloe once again. Meanwhile, up at the Fortress, Chloe, as Brainiac, informs Davis he is Doomsday and was created to kill â??the other Kryptonianâ?? and destroy the world.

Newcomer to the CW's Smallville, Cassidy Freeman will be making an appearance on BuzzWorthy Radio! Freeman plays the new CEO of LuthorCorp, Tess Mercer on season eight of CW’s Smallville. With Lex Luthor (Michael Rosenbaum) missing, Tess is in charge of all things LuthorCorp, which includes the Daily Planet. She quickly develops a rivalry with Lois Lane (Erica Durance) and takes up an interest in Clark (Tom Welling) that could prove to be very dangerous.

CHLOE AND JIMMYâ??S DREAM WEDDING DAY BUT TWO UNEXPECTED GUESTS CRASH THE PARTY â?? Chloe (Allison Mack) is excited that sheâ??s marrying Jimmy (Aaron Ashmore). However, when he arrives, Oliver is shocked to find Lana (Kristin Kreuk) instead. Clark and Lois (Erica Durance) grow closer but chaos ensues when Doomsday crashes the wedding and tries to kidnap Chloe. CHLOE TELLS JIMMY HOW SHE FEELS ABOUT CLARK â?? After they leave their engagement party, Chloe (Allison Mack) and Jimmy (Aaron Ashmore) are abducted by a psychotic jeweler (guest star David Lewis) who was emotionally scarred by his wifeâ??s infidelity and is now kidnapping couples and subjecting them to a kryptonite-enhanced lie detector that shocks them if they lie. The abductor asks Chloe if she is in love with anyone else. Meanwhile, in an effort to find Chloe and Jimmy, Clark (Tom Welling) and Lois (Erica Durance) pose as a couple and are kidnapped themselves then, asked how they feel about each other.

Oliver (Justin Hartley) collapses at a charity event and reveals he only has 24 hours to live. Clark (Tom Welling) and Chloe (Allison Mack) call Davis (Sam Witwer) for help but his prognosis is grim. Delirious, Oliver flashes back to when he was stranded on an island and first learned how to use a bow and arrow. He also recalls meeting Tess (Cassidy Freeman) for the first time on that island after she had been kidnapped by a drug runner. Meanwhile, Chloe decides to use her new powers to help save Oliver, shocking Clark. Mairzee Almas directed the episode written by Caroline Dries. LEX DISCOVERS CLARKâ??S SECRET â?? Kara (Laura Vandervoort) tells Lex (Michael Rosenbaum) he is destined to defeat the Traveler and offers to take him to the Fortress to learn how. Clark (Tom Welling) is stunned that Kara would go to Lex but it is revealed that Brainiac is impersonating Kara and sheâ??s actually trapped in the Phantom Zone. Chloe is arrested by the Department of Domestic Security and Lana awakens from her comatose state. Meanwhile, in an epic turn of events, Clark and Lex face off in the Fortress and Lex learns Clarkâ??s secret. Erica Durance and Aaron Ashmore also star. Lex (Michael Rosenbaum) is attacked by a cloaked stranger who carves kryptonian symbols into his chest - a message for Clark (Tom Welling). Chloe (Allison Mack) and Clark investigate and discover one member of the Veritas clan has survived and is hiding in a church. Clark and Lex race to be the first to find this mysterious Veritas member, who holds the key to Clark's survival. Kristin Kreuk, Erica Durance, Aaron Ashmore and Laura Vandervoort also star. Clark (Tom Welling) desperately searches for Kara (Laura Vandervoort) and Brainiac (guest star James Marsters) is the only one who can reverse Lana's (Kristin Kreuk) condition. Chloe and Lana take Kara (Laura Vandervoort) to the Fortress and beg Jor-El to restore her memory as she is the only one who can save Clark.
