The US is hoping to bring more such hi-tech manufacturing back on to American shores, and we explore the implications with Justin Sayers from the Austin Business Journal. And would you want to live to 150? With leaps in technology, science and medicine, it's becoming an increasingly realistic possibility; the BBC's Elizabeth Hotson reports on the science - and business - of longevity. Plus, at its annual Golden Joystick awards, the video games industry celebrated 50 years of games, marking the November 1971 launch of Computer Space. Dan Dawkins is content director at Games Radar, and tells us more about the event. And we're joined throughout the programme by Catherine Yeung from Fidelity in Hong Kong and in Washington DC, Dante Disparte, Head of Global policy at Circle Pay. On this edition of the Crypto.IQ Daily Radio Show we do a deep dive market analysis. Bitcoin (BTC) has risen to $8,400, but most of the crypto market is in the red. It appears the market is being influenced by Binance’s announcement that all United States users are banned, and any accounts in violation of this condition will be forced to stop trading by September 12. However, in the meantime Binance says they may ask users for verification information if they live in the United States. This seems to be causing Binance users in the United States to sell off their altcoins and stablecoins and withdraw Bitcoin (BTC), resulting in the observed trend of altcoins declining and Bitcoin (BTC) rising. We discuss how Bitfinex is burning LEO tokens every hour transparently, and how eventually all LEO tokens will be burned. Hear about how Circle is closing down Circle Pay, effectively ending Circle’s retail crypto business. Learn about how PayPal, Uber, Visa, and Mastercard have invested $10 million each into Facebook’s cryptocurrency, and the white paper for Facebook’s cryptocurrency is expected to be published on June 18.

This week Brian and Brad are joined by Rebecca Slatkin (@RebeccaSlatkin) and we talk about our new iPhones, the new Apple Watch, our worst jobs, the horrors of toilet iPhones, and why our moms worry when we travel. Links and notes and more (oh my!): Brian’s talks about his iPhone 7 Plus (JET BLACK, BABY!) and Series 2 Apple Watch He has a cheap clear case(s) from Amazon, a Black Silicon Case from Apple, and an Anker tempered screen glass protector Rebecca talks about her iPhone 7 and her experience with the Smart Battery Case People who upgraded to the iPhone 7 through Apple’s upgrade program had problems due to limited stock … just for those in the upgrade program. Apple is aware of this and is trying to fix it. Apparently a class action lawsuit is in the works. Reading the comments, it’s baffling how badly they bungled this. I’m having a bit of worry for next year. Gradually, the number of phones is improving for these upgrade customers. We talk about some lesser known features in iOS 10 A construction worker got hurt from an exploding Galaxy Note 7 Spigen is selling a $10 cable that will convert AirPods into … well, EarPods. The Japanese have sold Bluetooth headsets for years that have a useless wire hanging off them so you don’t look like you’re talking to yourself. For the life of me, I can’t find a link to show it. Since the home button is virtual on the iPhone 7, how you reboot it is now different. We’re big fans of Skitch on the iPhone You can block or identify spam phone calls with the Hiya app Did you know that there are individual read receipts in iOS 10? We talk about Rene Ritchie’s review of Airpods Miyamoto hopes that Super Mario Run will draw users to Nintendo’s hardware. 10 FREE iMessage apps Genius—Browse through popular song lyrics to share instantly iTranslate—instantly translates your text messages into another language, complete with all the proper grammar Retro Emoji—all the classic emoticons right at your fingertips Circle Pay—lets you send money to your contacts securely and without having to pay a fee.
