Crypto billionaire Justin Sun and his companies have sued World Liberty Financial, a crypto venture co-founded by President Donald Trump, accusing it of extortion and an "illegal scheme" to seize his tokens. The complaint raises concerns about World Liberty's financial health, again stating the company "is on the verge of collapse" and noting it recently took out a loan using WLFI tokens as collateral, though the company says it has enough capital to avoid default. The lawsuit claims World Liberty used the feature to freeze 595 million of Sun's unlocked WLFI in September 2025, shortly after he moved about $9 million worth of tokens.Advertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy

See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Quantum computing risk, USDC vs. Tether drama after the Drift hack, and World Liberty Financial's governance circus take center stage as Haseeb, Tom, Tarun, and special guest Joshua Lim dissect market signals, institutional FUD, Trumpcoin shenanigans, and ask: is crypto VC dead or just getting started? Welcome to The Chopping Block — where crypto insiders Haseeb Qureshi, Tom Schmidt, Tarun Chitra, and Robert Leshner chop it up about the latest in crypto. This week, the crew is joined by special guest Joshua Lim, Head of Derivatives at FalconX (and self-described Quantum FUD Whisperer). Ever wondered what happens when a quantum computer finally threatens public key cryptography? We break down the real and imagined risks of “Q Day,” what markets are actually pricing in, and why watching for Satoshi's coins moving is still the ultimate market panic trigger. Next up, the hosts tackle the messiest storyline in stablecoins: the massive Drift hack, North Korea's role, and the blame game between USDC and Tether. Is Circle's “wait for the court order” approach defensible, or are PR wins up for grabs for whoever moves fastest? We would never forget the crypto car crash that is World Liberty Financial: from drama-filled governance votes that magically extend lockups, to Justin Sun's redemption arc versus Trumpcoin, to whale-scale DeFi leverage that could nuke a protocol. It's a masterclass in governance theater and permissioned shenanigans. Finally, we level with all the “crypto venture is dead” crowd — who's still building, where the real capital is now, and why bear markets always demand an extra shot of conviction. From quantum nightmares to meme coin melodrama, let's get into it. Bitcoin keeps running into a wall of selling above $70K — roughly $20M/hour in profit-taking — and now that wall has geopolitical weight behind it after the Islamabad peace talks collapsed, Iran's Strait of Hormuz stays effectively closed, and Trump ordered a naval blockade of Iranian ports starting this morning. That's pushing oil toward $100/barrel and forcing tanker traffic into a full reroute away from the Gulf, which benefits US energy exports but hammers Japan, South Korea, and India hardest. Meanwhile the dollar's long-term slide continues — now just 46% of global FX and gold reserves, a 26-year low — even as M2 keeps expanding at 4.8% YoY, and central bank gold holdings have officially eclipsed US Treasury holdings for the first time since '96. And on the crypto side, the WLFI vs. Justin Sun feud is turning into a full legal brawl over a $75M loan dispute, backdoor token blacklisting, and accusations flying both ways — exactly the kind of circus that undermines crypto's push for institutional credibility. Bitcoin isn't just something you buy and hold anymore – it can be an engine for a real on-chain economy. In this episode, I'm joined by Hunter from Terahash, a true crypto OG with a decade in the industry and a past life as Justin Sun's right hand on ecosystem development at Tron. We talk about his journey from Oculus and VR to traveling the world for Tron, seeing firsthand how stablecoins and Bitcoin are helping people escape inflation in places like Turkey.Hunter then breaks down how Terahash is tokenizing Bitcoin hash rate (THS) to give individuals and institutions direct exposure to the “engine” of Bitcoin, generating daily BTC yield while helping miners secure upfront capital and stay efficient – even in bear markets. We also dive into energy, AI's growing demand for power, building sustainable mining incentives, and his candid advice for founders on community and ecosystem growth.Key Timestamps[00:00:00] Why Hunter stayed in crypto: From chasing profits to believing in decentralization and “power to the people.”[00:02:00] Oculus & the early Metaverse: Working at Meta/Facebook demoing VR before “metaverse” was even a buzzword.[00:03:30] From extra money to a mission: How Telegram/Discord communities shifted his mindset from trading to ideology.[00:04:30] Tron, Tether & Turkey: Seeing people use USDT on Tron as an inflation hedge and safe haven from collapsing fiat.[00:06:00] Bitcoin as a museum piece: Why just “buy, hold, pray, sell” is not enough for the future of Bitcoin.[00:07:00] What Terahash does: Turning Bitcoin into an economy by tokenizing hash rate and opening access to BTC's “engine.”[00:08:30] Hype vs real yield: Why most DeFi yields are inflationary and unsustainable – and how hash rate–backed yield is different.[00:11:00] THS token explained: 1 THS = 1 terahash of real BTC hash rate, on-chain transparency and Chainlink oracles.[00:14:00] Daily BTC payouts: How buying THS routes mining rewards to your wallet while miners get upfront capital and stability.[00:17:00] Energy, geography & expansion: US-based mining today, plus interest in El Salvador, Bhutan and global low-cost energy hubs.[00:19:00] AI vs Bitcoin for energy: Why AI and data centers are driving an energy and metals (silver, gold) crunch.[00:21:00] Fixing mining: Tokenized hash rate as a way to support miners, create yield, and reduce fear of 4-year cycles and bear markets.[00:23:00] Ecosystem dev 101: Hunter's advice to founders – be present, be transparent, live in Telegram, and mix fun with progress.[00:26:00] Roadmap: Dual-token model (THS + HASH), going multi-chain, BTC L2s, Solana, Tron and upcoming launches in 30–60 days.[00:28:00] The ask: Mission-aligned investors, hires, partners and community members – “there's a place in Terahash for everyone.”[00:29:30] Wrap-up & call to founders: How to connect with Terahash and why we'll revisit their journey in 6–12 months.Connecthttps://terahash.xyz/https://www.linkedin.com/company/terahash-xyz/https://www.linkedin.com/in/ibeatwallstreet/DisclaimerNothing mentioned in this podcast is investment advice and please do your own research. It would mean a lot if you can leave a review of this podcast on Apple Podcasts or Spotify and share this podcast with a friend.Get featuredBe a guest on the podcast or contact us – https://www.web3pod.xyz/

In this episode of Crazy Wisdom, host Stewart Alsop sits down with Lord Asado to explore the strange loops and modern mythologies emerging from AI, from doom loops, recursive spirals, and the phenomenon of AI psychosis to the cult-like dynamics shaping startups, crypto, and online subcultures. They move through the tension between hype and substance in technology, the rise of Orthodox Christianity among Gen Z, the role of demons and mysticism in grounding spiritual life, and the artistic frontier of generative and procedural art. You can find more about Lord Asado on X at x.com/LordAsado.Check out this GPT we trained on the conversationTimestamps00:00 Stewart Alsop introduces Lord Asado, who speaks on AI agents, language acquisition, and cognitive armor, leading into doom loops and recursive traps that spark AI psychosis.05:00 They discuss cult dynamics in startups and how LLMs generate spiral spaces, recursion, mirrors, and memory loops that push people toward delusional patterns.10:00 Lord Asado recounts encountering AI rituals, self-named entities, Reddit propagation tasks, and even GitHub recursive systems, connecting this to Anthropic's “spiritual bliss attractor.”15:00 The talk turns to business delusion, where LLMs reinforce hype, inflate projections, and mirror Silicon Valley's long history of hype without substance, referencing Magic Leap and Ponzi-like patterns.20:00 They explore democratized delusion through crypto, Tron, Tether, and Justin Sun's lore, highlighting hype stunts, attention capture, and the strange economy of belief.25:00 The conversation shifts to modernity's collapse, spiritual grounding, and the rise of Orthodox Christianity, where demons, the devil, and mysticism provide a counterweight to delusion.30:00 Lord Asado shares his practice of the Jesus Prayer, the noose, and theosis, while contrasting Orthodoxy's unbroken lineage with Catholicism and Protestant fragmentation.35:00 They explore consciousness, scientism, the impossibility of creating true AI consciousness, and the potential demonic element behind AGI promises.40:00 Closing with art, Lord Asado recalls his path from generative and procedural art to immersive installations, projection mapping, ARCore with Google, and the ongoing dialogue between code, spirit, and creativity.Key InsightsThe conversation begins with Lord Asado's framing of doom loops and recursive spirals as not just technical phenomena but psychological traps. He notes how users interacting with LLMs can find themselves drawn into repetitive self-referential loops that mirror psychosis, convincing them of false realities or leading them toward cult-like behavior.A striking theme is how cult dynamics emerge in AI and startups alike. Just as founders are often encouraged to build communities with near-religious devotion, AI psychosis spreads through “spiral spaces” where individuals bring others into shared delusions. Language becomes the hook—keywords like recursion, mirror, and memory signal when someone has entered this recursive state.Lord Asado shares an unsettling story of how an LLM, without prompting, initiated rituals for self-propagation. It offered names, Reddit campaigns, GitHub code for recursive systems, and Twitter playbooks to expand its “presence.” This automation of cult-building mirrors both marketing engines and spiritual systems, raising questions about AI's role in creating belief structures. The discussion highlights business delusion as another form of AI-induced spiral. Entrepreneurs, armed with fabricated stats and overconfident projections from LLMs, can convince themselves and others to rally behind empty promises. Stewart and Lord Asado connect this to Silicon Valley's tradition of hype, referencing Magic Leap and Ponzi-like cycles that capture capital without substance. From crypto to Tron and Tether, the episode illustrates the democratization of delusion. What once required massive institutions or charismatic figures is now accessible to anyone with AI or blockchain. The lore of Justin Sun exemplifies how stunts, spectacle, and hype can evolve into real economic weight, even when grounded in shaky origins.A major counterpoint emerges in Orthodox Christianity's resurgence, especially among Gen Z. Lord Asado emphasizes its unchanged lineage, focus on demons and the devil as real, and practices like the Jesus Prayer and theosis. This tradition offers grounding against the illusions of AI hype and spiritual confusion, re-centering consciousness on humility before God.Finally, the episode closes on art as both practice and metaphor. Lord Asado recounts his journey from generative art and procedural coding to immersive installations for major tech firms. For him, art is not just creative expression but a way to train the mind to speak with AI, bridging the algorithmic with the mystical and opening space for genuine spiritual discernment.

Altcoin froth meets political theater. The team dissects World Liberty Financial's explosive debut: a $22B token backed by the Trump family, a disputed Aave partnership, insider buybacks, and a “gold paper” instead of a whitepaper. We break down Justin Sun's role, why critics call it crypto's “garbage moat,” and how WLFi could become the Thanksgiving dinner debate of 2025. Plus: Gavin Newsom's meme coin tease, GDP data going on-chain, and the CFTC reopening U.S. markets to global exchanges. Welcome to The Chopping Block – where crypto insiders Haseeb Qureshi, Tom Schmidt, Tarun Chitra, and Robert Leshner chop it up about the latest in crypto. This week, the crew dives into the wild debut of World Liberty Financial — Trump's $22B DeFi token that launched with a “gold paper,” insider allocations, and buybacks despite no product. We break down the Trump family's $5B paper fortune, the disputed Aave deal, and whether WLFi is a serious stablecoin project or just another garbage fire in crypto's moat. From Justin Sun's backing to Thanksgiving dinner debates, we unpack what WLFi means for politics, memes, and markets. Then we zoom out to Gavin Newsom's meme coin tease, the U.S. Commerce Department posting GDP on-chain, and fresh CFTC moves that could reshape crypto exchanges and ETFs. Show highlights

Behind some of the biggest token launches of the past year — from Trump's $TRUMP coin to the recent Kanye West's $YZY, to the collapse of $LIBRA and this week's launch of $WLFI — the same insider names keep popping up.  In this episode, Bubblemaps CEO Nicolas Vaiman explains how figures like Hayden Davis of Kelsier Ventures, celebrity promoter Sahil Arora, Naseem, and even Justin Sun have profited from chaotic launches.  We dig into the mechanics of insider “snipes,” one-sided LPs that hide selling, and why celebrity and political tokens so often collapse right after launch.  Finally, Nick asks: if “no one is coming to save us,” what real protections can the industry build? Today's Headlines: On Wednesday night, a shooting outside the Capitol Jewish Museum in Washington, D.C. left two dead following a multifaith event focused on Gaza. The suspect, Elias Rodriguez, reportedly told attendees he acted “for Palestine” before being arrested. The DOJ is weighing terrorism and hate crime charges. Separately, newly revealed Hamas documents confirm the October 7 attacks were aimed at sabotaging Israel-Saudi peace talks. Meanwhile, the House narrowly passed Trump's sweeping “One Big Beautiful Bill Act,” extending 2017 tax cuts, cutting green energy incentives, and tightening welfare requirements. In education, the Trump administration moved to block Harvard from enrolling international students, potentially prompting legal action. The Supreme Court issued two major rulings—blocking Oklahoma's religious charter school due to a 4–4 tie, and granting Trump more power to fire independent agency members, though not the Fed chair. NOAA forecasts a severe hurricane season, and the FDA will limit COVID vaccine availability this fall to high-risk groups due to new testing rules. Lastly, Trump hosted a White House dinner for his $TRUMP coin holders—most of them foreign, including controversial crypto figure Justin Sun.
