Maksim Hramadtsou is the founder and CEO of GoodCrypto and goodcryptoX - a next-generation non-custodial DEX trading platform that revolutionizes DEX trading with the help of ERC-4337 Account Abstraction and Smart Contract Wallets. Why you should listen Maksim founded 2018 GoodCrypto in 2018, an all-in-one crypto portfolio manager and multi-exchange trading terminal. GoodCrypto supports 35 centralized exchanges and has grown to over 200k registered users and over $3B of trading volume. Following the launch of Uniswap v2 in 2020, Maksim and his team have looked at integrating DEXs in the app to provide DEX traders with the same UX and trading tools they are accustomed to when trading on CEXs. They believe that DEX trading should be fully non-custodial - anything less that that directly contradicts the whole point of decentralized trading The recent adoption of ERC-4337 Account Abstraction has provided the opportunity to create a fully non-custodial feature-rich DEX trading platform - this is goodcryptoX. goodcryptoX creates a smart contract wallet that only the user controls. It is tied to your social login or an existing Metamask wallet. That smart contract wallet issues 'session keys' - a kind of on-chain API key to your wallet that allows our platform to trade on your behalf within the smart contract-enforced limits that you set. This allows goodcryptox to bring to DEXs most of the features of CEX trading: from trailing stop order and stop-loss/take-profit combos to DCA and Grid trading bots and trading on technical indicators and TradingView webhooks. Besides CEX functionality, smart contract wallets allow goodcryptoX to also offer a number of unique DeFi-specific features: from the ability to pay gas fees in any ERC-20 token and automated buying of gas tokens when they are cheap and using them when the network becomes congested to automatically bridging your tokens to an L2 chain like Arbitrum, running your bots there to save on gas fees and auto-bridging them back after. goodcryptoX will support all leading DEXs on all EVM-compatible blockchains. GOOD token is the native utility token of goodcryptoX. GOOD provides revenue share, governance, and swapping fee discounts. Join the waitlist now! Phil Daian is a crypto-economic researcher! Phil is the lead author behind the landmark paper, “Flash Boys 2.0,” which introduced and defined the MEV problem in the Ethereum landscape, over 4 years ago. He is the cofounder of FlashBots, which is a research and dev organization with the mission of mitigating the negative externalities of MEV. Andrew Miller is an Associate Professor at the University of Illinois, SGX Bull, and visiting researcher at Flashbots, and big believer in cypherpunk values through crypto-economic mechanisms. ------ ✨ DEBRIEF | Ryan & David unpacking the episode: https://www.bankless.com/debrief-suave Have you ever heard of Flashbots? Flashbots is the silent protector of Ethereum, a shield against the forces of centralization that silently sneak into our cryptosystems and turn them into TradFi. It's one of the unsung heroes of crypto. The guests we have on today are from Flashbots, Phil Daian, and Andrew Miller. They believe the biggest centralization threats in crypto still lie ahead. And they've got a new platform that's being built to defend against them. It's called “Suave”, and we've been hearing a lot about it recently - “Solving MEV” - “Decentralizing block building” - but going into this episode, we weren't sure exactly what it was. We found out during this episode. -----
The Wall Street Journal corrected its misreporting about crypto funding Hamas, but it was too late to stop lawmakers from amplifying false claims. It fueled U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren's crusade against the crypto sector. One of the best known memes in crypto is: 'Not your keys, not your coins'. This usually resurfaces whenever a (custodial) centralised exchange is hacked or goes bust altogether. Although Web3 provides the infrastructure for self custody, this often shares the fate of Pandora. Self-custody requires increased security measures, from both end-users, as well as application developers. Web3 wallets are the interface between users and decentralised applications deployed on blockchains. While Metamask still maintains the largest market share, a multitude of wallets have emerged, promising additional features and a better UX.We were joined by Evgeny Yurtaev, co-founder & CEO of Zerion, to discuss the challenges of building a Web3 wallet and how Zerion aims to improve user experience, while still maintaining security.Topics covered in this episode:Evgeny's backgroundThe motivation behind building a Web3 walletZerion UX and securitySeed phrase storingZerion user profileChallenges in building a new wallet appProtecting users and potential attack vectorsSupported blockchains and (seamless) bridgingAccount abstraction and MPCBusiness models for Web3 walletsEpisode links:Evgeny Yurtaev on TwitterZerion on TwitterThis episode is hosted by Friederike Ernst. Danny Ryan is a coordinator at the Ethereum Foundation. He's been on Bankless many times before. Usually, we're talking about the Ethereum roadmap and what's coming next. This time we're talking about something different…a risk to Ethereum that Danny sees. A little over a year ago, Danny wrote a blog post titled “The Risk of LSDs”... discussing the various risk vectors that a dominant LSD presents to Ethereum…even naming Lido specifically in the process. ------ ✨ DEBRIEF | Ryan & David unpacking the episode: https://www.bankless.com/debrief-danny-ryan ------ A lot of people have decided that liquid staking with Lido is the place to do it. At the time of recording Lido has over 30% of all staked Ether. Does this present a systemic risk to Ethereum? We did an episode called, “In Defense of Lido” with researcher Hasu who argued that Lido does not pose a systemic risk to Ethereum. In fact, Lido's dominance is better than many other alternatives. We left that conversation half-finished when we published it in August 2023. In today's episode, we cover part two of that debate with Ethereum researcher and guest Danny Ryan who argues the opposite. Lido is a systemic risk to Ethereum and what to do about it. We believe our role as podcasters for issues like this is to voice both sides of the argument in long-form conversations and healthy debate. It is exactly the kind of thing you don't get on Twitter. That's why we've given voice to both sides of this issue. We think there are good actors who care about this ecosystem at Lido and in the broader Ethereum community and we're sure this episode won't be the last word on this subject. -----

Erik Marks is the director of product for permissionless innovation at MetaMask. MetaMask, the popular non-custodial wallet owned by Consensys, has been in the spotlight following the launch of Snaps on open beta. You can think of Snaps as plugins that allow developers to add new and different apps that we can use in MetaMask. One of the biggest implications of this is that Snaps will connect MetaMask to non-Ethereum chains, including Bitcoin and Solana. In our conversation, we dive deep into the vision and the broader implications of Snaps.
Solana on Ethereum? Solana has a virtual machine called the SVM. Proponents say it's much better than the Ethereum EVM…multi-threaded execution…now it's coming to Ethereum in the form of an L2. Today on the show, we brought on CEO & Co-Founder of Eclipse, Neel Somani. Eclipse is not only a new L2 on the scene, it's also an L2 framework, kind of like the OP Stack. It's a superchain contender. This poses some very interesting questions….who wins? Does this kill Solana? ------

In this episode, we delve into the frontier of AI and the challenges surrounding AI alignment. The AI / Crypto overlap at Zuzalu sparked discussions on topics like ZKML, MEV bots, and the integration of AI agents into the Ethereum landscape. However, the focal point was the alignment conversation, which showcased both pessimistic and resigned optimistic perspectives. We hear from Nate Sores of MIRI, who offers a downstream view on AI risk, and Deger Turan, who emphasizes the importance of human alignment as a prerequisite for aligning AI. Their discussions touch on epistemology, individual preferences, and the potential of AI to assist in personal and societal growth. ------
