Resurrection is a key concept in Christianity, both as a historic fact, a future promise, and a present day reality that we need to live and experience! Join Pastor Cameron as we begin Holy Week by looking at the hope of the resurrection!
As Easter approaches, we can learn from Jesus' final week how to prepare spiritually for this sacred season. Jesus demonstrated four essential steps: preparation through divine providence, celebration by proclaiming His lordship, lamentation over sin's consequences, and purification by cleansing what belongs to God. When Jesus entered Jerusalem on Palm Sunday, every detail was carefully planned by God, from the donkey that fulfilled prophecy to the crowds who praised Him. Yet Jesus wept over Jerusalem, knowing they would reject Him and face judgment. He then cleansed the temple, showing righteous anger at corruption within His church. These four steps - preparation, celebration, lamentation, and purification - provide a biblical framework for meaningful Easter preparation that goes beyond surface traditions to deep spiritual readiness.
Join Pastor Cameron as he reminds us that the cross is only good because it was followed by the resurrection! Our victory came at the cross and was sealed by the resurrection of Jesus!
On today's episode, Pastor Cameron describes how the wrath of God was taken away at the cross. Jesus absorbed the wrath of God on behalf of our sins so that we can experience His favor!

In this sermon, Pastor Aaron examines the unique resurrection appearance of Jesus that occurs in Luke 24. Jesus appears to two disciples on the road to Emmaus. At first they don't recognize Jesus, but then after spending time with him and listening to his word, they come to see Jesus for who he truly is - the resurrected Savior of the world! This event changed their lives from that very moment, and we pray that hearing their eyewitness testimony will change yours as well!

Join the American Baptist Churches of Nebraska on the 2024 Lenten reflections, "Facing Jerusalem." Easter Benediction In the dark of the early morning, It descended. The very breath of God. Dawn approached. The Spirit filled the lungs of our fallen king, And his heart began to beat anew. At the rising of the sun, He awoke. He opened his eyes. He smiled. He rose. Victorious. They say the tomb was empty, But we know otherwise. Sorrow and mourning. Left behind. Fear and shame. Left behind. Sin and death. Left behind. Our old ways and our old selves. Left behind. Forever entombed by Christ the Son. He who has conquered the grave. He who is risen. He who reigns.
