Ever felt like you missed your chance, just like watching a flight pull away from the gate as you're left catching your breath? This Easter message explores the "cliffhanger" ending of the Gospel of Mark and the powerful truth that Jesus offers a "do-over" even when we feel we've failed or fallen behind. Discover why the empty tomb isn't just a historical event, but an invitation for you to decide "what happens next" in your own life today.
The Easter Story This week, Pete uses the language of chocolate to walk us through the narrative of the Easter Story, inviting the kids to help bring the story to life through some clever wordplay. This message was recorded at Kāpiti Impact Church in Paraparaumu, NZ

There's a detail in the Easter story you've probably never noticed — and once you see it, the whole thing hits differently. Most of us grew up hearing about two criminals beside Jesus on the cross: one who mocked him, one who believed. But that's not actually what the Bible says. Matthew and Mark both record that both criminals were hurling insults at Jesus. So what changed? What turned one of them from screaming at Jesus to saying, “Remember me when you come into your kingdom?” The answer is a single sentence — and it might be the most powerful thing Jesus ever said. This Easter, we're zooming in on Luke 23 and asking a simple question: how would your life look if all your debt was suddenly cancelled? Not just the mortgage and the credit cards — but the debt of every mistake, every failure, every thing you wish you could take back.CONNECT WITH US:→ Request Prayer: https://bit.ly/3zMyf5E→ Request Care: https://bit.ly/3fBTX5G→ Share a Testimony: https://bit.ly/3Jo7Ped→ Find Events and More: https://bit.ly/3TcrkcR→ Leave us a Review on Google: https://bit.ly/47925jP→ Plan a Visit in Person: https://bit.ly/3sfQdg7FOLLOW US:→ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/illuminatechurch→ Tiktok: https://www.tiktok.com/@illuminate_church→ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/illuminatechurchWE HELP PEOPLE FIND ABUNDANT LIFE IN JESUS!

Do we consider Peter a villain in the Easter Story? Are you a villain in the Easter Story? This Sunday we reflect on three scenes from the life of Peter - even the greatest of saints has the potential to fall at any moment, and even greater, we'll see the amazing love, care, and tenderness that Jesus offers to each one of us who returns to him. Who do you say I am?

As we celebrate the Resurrection, Pastor Chad offers a reminder that the Easter Story is a direct challenge to what we think power and victory and community and even love looks like. Jesus' death and resurrection were the beginning of the New Creation that the Prophet Isaiah shared where our whole understanding of the how the world works is challenged by God's vision of how the world should work. When faced with this challenge, we can either stand stubbornly behind our old views or embrace the new vision that is built on the unconditional, self-sacrificial AGAPe Love that Jesus embodied on Easter morning.

Happy Holy Week from StoryTellers Live! As we approach Resurrection Sunday, Anna Meade Harris' story invites us to sit in the tension of grief and hope—and to remember that the cross was never the end of the story. Anna, from our Mountain Brook, Alabama community, shares her story of losing her husband unexpectedly and raising three boys on her own. In the midst of loneliness, anxiety, and unanswered questions, Anna wrestled with not understanding God's ways—yet chose to trust that He is good. Looking back, she now sees how God met her in the waiting, bringing restoration, renewed purpose, companionship, and unexpected joy. This Holy Week, if you're walking through sorrow or unanswered prayers, Anna's story will remind you: the same power that raised Jesus from the grave is still at work—redeeming, restoring, and making all things new. How many Roman soldiers does it take to arrest one man? If the man is Jesus of Nazareth... hundreds. On the night of His arrest, Jesus's reputation was that of power and miracles. The Romans were taking no chances. In the Garden of Gethsemane, we see the Lord of all creation humbling Himself to take the place of humanity. He knows His arrest will end with death by crucifixion. But what happens on that night in that Garden has far more inciteful details than most biblical readers have fathomed, like who was that young man who ran away from the soldiers naked after being stripped of his loin cloth? Or the High Priest's servant whose ear is cut off? Why are these and more events even included in the biblical narrative? On this episode of Lighthouse Faith podcast, theologian Rick Renner explores his new book for adults and children, "Easter: The Rest of the Story." He explains how even the most minute details of the various scenes in the Garden are important to understanding who Jesus is and what He came to do. He is God incarnate, come into the world to pay the penalty of sin for all of humanity, for all time. Easter celebrates the Resurrection of Jesus from the dead. It is the cornerstone of Christianity.
