Many people think that high blood pressure comes with age and it is normal to take some medicines for this, especially with the world the way it is today. But it's not. Hypertension can be the cause of heart disease, strokes, chronic kidney disease and more and can be prevented by being aware of the causes and avoiding them. Join us on Saturdays with SHARAN with Dr Nandita Shah from India to understand what hypertension, its causes and prevention is. You will also see testimonials of 2 SHARAN facilitators as well as hear from our clinical cardiologist, Dr Aarti Rathi and you will see Madhura Vayal's healthy version of a popular and delicious North Indian dish, Daal Makhani. Recipe for Daal Makhani DAL MAKHANI (Serves 2) Ingredients 1/4 cup red kidney beans 1/4 cup whole black gram 4 medium size tomatoes, coarsely chopped 1 medium size onion 2 bay leaves 1 inch cinnamon 1 black cardamom 1 star anise 1 tsp red chilli powder 1/4 tsp turmeric 1/2 tsp coriander powder 1/4 tsp cumin powder 1 tsp garam masala 1/2 tsp kasoori methi (optional) 1/8 tsp cardamom powder 8-10 cashews 1 tsp unrefined salt 1/4 cup water 2 cups water for soaking 1 cup water for cooking For garnish 2-3 tbsp thick coconut milk (first extract) Method Wash the kidney beans and black gram. Soak them in 2 cups water and keep aside for 8 hours preferably overnight Drain the water and rinse with fresh water. Pressure cook these with 1 cup water and ½ tsp salt for 1 whistle and allow the pressure release by itself. Drain the beans (but keep the water). You can also cook the beans without a pressure cooker the way you usually cook beans. Heat a thick bottom stainless steel pan. Add the chopped onions, 2 tbsp water and 1/4 tsp salt. Cook the onions till they are light brown and translucent. Add the tomatoes, ginger and garlic. Add 1/4 cup water. Bring it to a boil and cover and cook for 10 mins. Once the tomatoes have mushed up, turn the heat off and allow this mixture to cool down. Transfer in a grinder jar and add the cashews. Grind this mixture without adding any water till it's smooth and creamy. In a thick bottom stainless steel kadhai or pot add the garam masalas and 2-3 tbsp water. Bring to a boil. Add the ground paste and the pressure cooked beans. Adjust the consistency with the saved beans water. Add salt only if necessary. Serve the hot dal makhani along with fragrant brown rice (recipe on SHARAN website) or with Indian flat breads. SERVES 2 VARIATIONS: You can make more of the gravy (with the paste and garam masala) and freeze it and use it later. You can replace the beans with tofu to get a ‘paneer' makhani or with mixed vegetable to get a vegetable makhanwalla and impress your guests every time! You may also replace the whole black gram with brown lentils.

We also delve into the film's unusual development and chaotic production as well a strange and somewhat tenuous connection to UFO lore (hey, we have to justify covering this one somehow!!)

Even CNN can't hide it, and it's not just CNN, wait until you see what the ultra-woke leftists over at MSNBC are saying, it's going to blow your brain! Highlights: “Poll after poll after poll over these last two weeks, post-mugshot weeks, all show the exact same thing: they all show Biden imploding and Trump surging!” “Trump, today, after four indictments, two impeachments, and a 24/7 propaganda campaign by the legacy media, is in a better position to win 2024 than he ever was in 2016 or 2020! Even CNN is admitting this! Trump is polling, across the board, better than he has ever polled, ever!” “The fundamental reason why Trump is doing so well in the polls is that Trump is crushing it with voter groups that overwhelmingly went with Biden in 2020, or Hillary for that matter in 2016! Trump is vastly overperforming among voter groups that Republicans always underperform with!” “Trump, more than anyone else, has exposed the Democrats to be what they are! What happened in 2016 is Trump effectively redefined American politics away from a Republican vs. Democrat divide that has over the last several decades defined every single presidential race. He transformed the Republican vs. Democrat divide into a people vs. the political class divide, the ruled vs. their corrupt rulers! This is a Holy Spirit inspired sermon titled: Shaping The Child By Erin Nicole. I curse, I am my unapologetic self. I talk about child abuse, the roles of adults and older children in helping to protect the children, infants, toddlers of the world. If you are in a leadership position because the Lord assigned it to you or you got pushed into it because of society or your family, you are a role model. Whether you like it or not, you are shaping the children of the world. Step up or step off the platform and allow for better leaders that DO NOT HARM CHILDREN to replace you. There are approximately 7.6 billion people in the world give or take statistics and the illegal birthing centers of the Illuminati. No good humans like or prefer harming of children. No good humans like or are involved in child sex trafficking. Its time for the top 1% to move out of the way, repent or get slaughtered by the Spiritual Warriors that protect families all over the world. Its time for Trump to get back in office in America

We have some of the worst river health standards in Europe – in large part due to raw sewage being pumped into our vital waterways. Is it too easy for water companies to get away with this? And does the Government have a plan to fix the issue? Jamie Woodward is a professor of physical geography at the University of Manchester. An Army soldier has been charged with first-degree murder and tampering with evidence in the death of his newlywed wife. Zarrius Hildabrand, 21, a member of the Alaska National Guard's 2nd Infantry Brigade Combat Team, stands accused of fatally shooting his wife, Saria Hildabrand, also 21, and then attempting to cover up the crime by stashing her body in a storm drain. The Anchorage Police Department revealed that the disturbing series of events began when Hildabrand reported Saria missing on the evening of Monday, August 7. The couple had returned home in the early hours of Sunday, August 6, after celebrating Zarrius' birthday with friends. A neighbor later reported hearing a gunshot in the vicinity around 2:45 a.m. on Sunday. Hildabrand initially claimed that Saria had walked to work at a local restaurant between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. that same day, saying they were both too hungover to drive. He reported her missing to the police when he went to pick her up from work at 7 p.m. and realized she never arrived. Desperate and concerned, he turned to social media, posting messages on Facebook about his wife's disappearance and even assisting Saria's mother, Meredith Barney, in searching for her. However, the unfolding investigation raised serious doubts about Hildabrand's account. A friend of the couple informed the police that Saria had not planned to work on August 6. Contradictions in Hildabrand's statements and evidence found at their apartment led detectives to delve deeper into the case. When police searched the couple's apartment, they discovered two loaded pistols on the kitchen table, one of which was missing a bullet. Detectives also noticed peculiar details, including a missing bed sheet replaced by a mattress pad with new sheets nearby. Hildabrand's reluctance to let the police inspect the bed raised further suspicions. As the investigation progressed, more incriminating evidence emerged. Hildabrand was found to have purchased a variety of items on August 6, including a jar of marinara sauce, a set of sheets matching those in their apartment, a mattress cover, hydrogen peroxide, and an empty spray bottle. A large 96-gallon garbage can was also purchased from a nearby store. Police later located a mop and mop bucket that matched those sold on the same aisle as the garbage can. Tragically, the investigation reached its conclusion when a drone search uncovered Saria Hildabrand's remains concealed in a 4-by-5-foot storm drain near the couple's apartment. She had suffered a gunshot wound to the left temple. The couple, who had met during basic training the previous summer, were married in December 2022. Saria had moved from Utah to Alaska just six months prior to be with her new husband. Zarrius Hildabrand was appointed a public defender and is being held on a $500,000 bond. Bag of frozen, shredded hash browns - (1) 10.5 oz Can of cream of chicken soup - (1) 8 oz Container of sour cream - (2) Red bell pepper - (2) Yellow onions - (2) Garlic cloves (minced) - (2) Small handfuls of Utz crunchy potato stix - (1.5) Sticks of butter - ⅔ Cup of shredded gouda cheese - ⅓ Cup of shredded sharp cheddar cheese - ½ Tablespoon of Black Pepper - ½ Tablespoon of Smoked Paprika Thaw out frozen hash browns and then put them in a big mixing bowl. Pour in the entire can of chicken soup. Pour in the entire container of sour cream. Pour in both cheeses but leave enough to put on top at the end. Finely chop the two onions and the two peppers. Put them in a skillet with the 1.5 sticks of butter and the minced garlic. Cook until it smells good. Strain the contents through a colander or cheesecloth allowing the butter to separate into a separate bowl from the vegetables. Add in the veggies and the black pepper and then use a thick wooden spoon to combine all the ingredients. Spread everything out evenly into a casserole dish. Sprinkle the smoked paprika, Utz potato stix, and remaining cheese evenly on top Take the strained butter and brush it on top of the dish. Cook uncovered for 45 mins or so on 350° Collard Greens Ingredients: (5) bunches of collards (2) Smoked ham hocks (2) 32 oz boxes of chicken stock (2) Garlic cloves (minced) (2) Tablespoons of brown sugar (1.5) Medium yellow onions (1) Hot and Spicy Conecuh Sausage (1) Splash of apple cider vinegar (1) Splash of Texas Pete Hot Sauce (1) Tablespoon of salt (1) Tablespoon of Cajun or Creole seasoning (½) Tablespoon of black pepper (½) Tablespoon of smoked paprika (½) Tablespoon of red pepper flakes Dice up onions. Put them in the bottom of the crockpot. Put all your sugar, salt, and spices into the crockpot on top of the onions. Splash a bit of apple cider vinegar and a bit of hot sauce into the crockpot. Wash collards and then begin slicing collards vertically away from their stems. Throw stems away and then slice them again horizontally until you make strips. Fill the crock pot with greens. Press them down to make them fit if you have to. They will all eventually get cooked and will shrink and compress in the process. Put the two ham hocks on top of the greens. Pour in the two containers of chicken stock. Cover the crockpot and cook for 12-15 hours on low stirring occasionally. When greens get soft enough, submerge the ham hocks if they aren't already. After about 10 hours, pull the ham hocks out and let them cool. Pull out whatever meat you can and throw that back in the crockpot and dispose of the bones. When the greens are almost done, chop up the Conecuh sausage and stir it into the greens. Let that cook for 30 minutes or so. Then turn off the crock pot and let the greens sit uncovered for 30 minutes and serve. Coca-Cola BBQ Baked Beans Ingredients: (2) Red Bell Peppers (2) Tablespoons of dried mustard powder (like Coleman's) (2) Garlic cloves (minced) (1.5) Medium Yellow Onions (1) One pound of ground beef (1) One pound of bacon (1) Cup of ketchup (1) Cup of brown sugar (1) 20 oz. Coca-Cola (1) 16 oz. can of red beans (1) 16 oz. can of black beans (1) 16 oz. can of pinto beans (1) Tablespoon salt (1) Tablespoon black pepper (1) Tablespoon smoked paprika Pour Coca-Cola, ketchup, brown sugar, mustard powder, minced garlic, black pepper, smoked paprika, and salt into a sauce pan. Turn on high and then continuously stir until it thickens up. I mean, you gotta stir this thing pretty much the whole time. Add more ketchup if you want it thicker. Once it gets viscous, set BBQ sauce aside and let it cool down a bit. Strain three cans of beans and put them into a large mixing bowl. Chop up onions and red peppers and put them into the mixing bowl as well. Cook and drain 1 lb of ground beef in a skillet. Let it cool for a minute. Cook 1 lb of bacon in the same skillet. Drain bacon but save the grease. Run bacon through a food processor or just chop it up small and add to the mixing bowl. Pour in the Coca-Cola BBQ sauce Pour in ½ of the leftover bacon grease Stir everything together. Spread out into a casserole dish. Cook covered in the oven for 45 mins or so on 350°. Aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) may be complicated by delayed cerebral ischemia, which is a major cause of unfavorable clinical outcome and death in SAH-patients. Delayed cerebral ischemia is presumably related to the development of vasospasm triggered by the presence of blood in the basal cisterns. To date, oral application of the calcium antagonist nimodipine is the only prophylactic treatment for vasospasm recognized under international guidelines. In retrospective trials lumbar drainage of cerebrospinal fluid has been shown to be a safe and feasible measure to remove the blood from the basal cisterns and decrease the incidence of delayed cerebral ischemia and vasospasm in the respective study populations. However, the efficacy of lumbar drainage had not been evaluated prospectively in a randomized controlled trial until Dr Stefan Wolf and his colleagues at Charité – Universitätsmedizin in Berlin conducted their study. Dr Wolf joins Dr Nick Morris to discuss the study's results. .

What You Need To Know is about the fight to protect Clarence Thomas from corrupt attacks. Mark Paoletta, a respected lawyer, has rushed to Thomas's defense and is standing firm against the corruption of the swamp. Paoletta criticized Senators Durbin and Whitehouse for their political stunt, proposing a hypocritical ethics law meant to target Thomas on the Supreme Court. Kennedy Jr. or Tulsi Gabbard could have an impact if they ran outside of their parties. Find Cheryl's podcast “Bold and Blunt” here. Cynthia Hughes, founder of the Patriot Freedom Project, discusses the lack of consistent attention and support for January 6 defendants and their families. She points out the ongoing arrests and the two-tier justice system that favors wealthy individuals. While some grassroots organizations are doing great work, she expresses frustration at the lack of help from bigger foundations. Despite the challenges, Cynthia remains committed to supporting the families and defendants impacted by the events of January 6. Wrap Up: Time to discuss the positive impact of the GI Bill for veterans, concerns about the military expanding into social services, and the corruption within the workers' compensation system. The Torah forbids both eating and cooking meat with milk. Thus, one may not cook meat with milk even if he has no intention of eating it. This is clearly indicated by the Torah's formulation in introducing the prohibition of Basar Be'halab (meat with milk) – "Lo Tebashel Gedi Ba'haleb Imo" ("Do not cook a kid in its mother's milk" – Shemot 23:19, 34:26; Debarim 14:21).Maran (author of the Shulhan Aruch), in his Kesef Mishne commentary to the Rambam's Mishne Torah (Hilchot Ma'achalot Asurot 9:2), posits an intriguing theory in explaining the nature of this prohibition. He contends that the Torah forbade cooking meat with milk as a safeguard against the prohibition of eating meat with milk. As opposed to non-Kosher foods, meat and milk are independently permissible for consumption, giving rise to the concern that if one would cook meat with milk, he might mistakenly partake of the food. The Torah therefore forbade cooking meat with milk, even in cases where one has no intention of eating the final product, as a safeguard against eating meat and milk.Conceivably, according to this theory, the prohibition of Bishul (cooking) would not apply in situations where there is no possibility of eating the cooked meat and milk. For example, some people have a mechanism in their kitchen sink for garbage disposal. Garbage is placed into the mechanism, and from time to time one activates the system which grinds the garbage and sends it into the home's sewage pipes. It is likely that with time remnants of both meat and dairy products are collected in the system. If one would pour hot water into the sink, he would, in effect, be cooking the meat and milk together. For that matter, in the piping of any kitchen sink there is occasionally a buildup of residue from the utensils washed in the sink, which one might want to eliminate by pouring boiling water into the sink. However, when one pours hot water into the sink, he might very well be cooking the meat and dairy residue together in the pipes. While instinctively we might forbid pouring hot water down the kitchen sink, the aforementioned theory of the Kesef Mishne might yield a different conclusion. Since the residue in the pipes obviously has no possibility of being eaten, the prohibition of cooking meat and milk perhaps does not apply.Hacham Ovadia Yosef (in Yalkut Yosef – Yore De'a, p. 174) indeed rules leniently in this regard, invoking the Kesef Mishne's theory as one among several factors leading to his conclusion. In addition to the Kesef Mishne's position, Hacham Ovadia also notes that according to some views, "Iruy Keli Rishon" (hot water poured from the original utensil) does not have the capacity to "cook" in the Halachic sense of the term. These Rishonim (Medieval Halachic scholars) held that hot water can effectuate cooking only while it is still in its original utensil, and not after it is poured. Hence, the hot water poured into the drain does not "cook" the meat and milk residue as far as the prohibition of Bishul is concerned. Although we generally do not follow this view, it may be invoked along with other considerations to allow pouring hot water into the sink. Hacham Ovadia points to other factors, as well, including the fact that it is doubtful whether the hot water will indeed encounter meat and milk at the same moment and cook them together.Nevertheless, Hacham Ovadia advises one to avoid this issue and not pour boiling water down the drain. If the drain is clogged, one should preferably use a chemical to eliminate the residue in the piping, rather than boiling water.A similar issue arises in garbage cans. Hacham Ovadia rules that one should not pour hot gravy into a garbage bin that has remnants of dairy foods, such as pizza. Even though this meat and milk mixture will obviously not be eaten, one should nevertheless be stringent in this regard and not pour hot meat on top of dairy foods in the trash bin.Summary: Strictly speaking, it is permissible to pour boiling water into the drain in the kitchen sink, despite the fact that it will "cook" the buildup of meat and milk residue in the pipe. Nevertheless, it is preferable to use chemicals to clean one's pipes, rather than boiling water. It is forbidden to pour hot meat sauce and the like into the garbage if there is dairy food in the garbage.

Summer is BBQ season. North Carolina-based father and son duo Ed and Ryan Mitchell, who are legendary pitmasters, released their latest cookbook Ed Mitchell's Barbeque which includes best techniques for roasting meat and recipes for sides and appetizers. Ryan joins us to discuss. Sheri's Smoked Mac 'n' Cheese (Courtesy of Harper Collins) Serves 4 • Prep Time: 20 minutes • Cooking Time: 45 minutes (if baked) or 1 hour (if smoked) RYAN MITCHELL, Ed Mitchell's son Everyone has a macaroni and cheese memory. Mac and cheese has become as American as burgers and pie. My sister, Sheri, was the first person to bring different ideas about how to reimagine macaroni and cheese back to Wilson and to our family. Sheri was a cheese connoisseur. In the 1980s, she was hobnobbing with folks at Georgetown and Howard University in Washington, DC, and attending parties with fancy cheese boards and wine. During the holidays, when she would come home to Wilson, she introduced us to all kinds of cheeses, pâté, and crackers that we were unfamiliar with. Sheri started to add bacon and different cheeses to our macaroni and cheese. She took it to the next level. We hadn't known that mac and cheese could be jazzed up. I didn't know there were other kinds of cheese past the ones that were available in our stores in Wilson County. I credit Sheri for creating our mac and cheese dish. We prefer to grate our cheeses instead of buying packaged shredded cheese. Grating your own cheese will give you a creamier and more flavorful dish. 1 16-ounce box elbow noodles Salt and freshly ground black pepper 4 tablespoons (1/2 stick) butter 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour 2 cups milk 1 teaspoon onion powder 1 teaspoon garlic powder 1 cup freshly shredded extra-sharp cheddar cheese 1 cup heavy cream 1 cup freshly shredded smoked Gouda cheese 1 cup freshly shredded aged cheddar or North Carolina hoop cheese 1 egg, beaten 1 cup freshly shredded mozzarella cheese 1 cup freshly shredded Colby Jack cheese COOK the elbow noodles in boiling water with 1 teaspoon salt for 8 minutes, or until al dente. Drain and place in a casserole or baking dish. Season with a sprinkle each of salt and pepper. IN a medium-sized pot, melt the butter on low heat, then whisk in the flour. Add the milk and stir until it starts to thicken. Add the onion powder and garlic powder. Add the extra-sharp cheddar and 1/2 cup of the cream. Stir until smooth. Add the Gouda and remaining 1/2 cup cream. Stir until smooth. MIX the beaten egg and mozzarella in with the elbow noodles, then pour the cheese sauce over the noodles. Top evenly with the Colby Jack. Cook the macaroni and cheese on a smoker for 45 minutes or bake at 350ºF until golden brown and bubbling, about 30 minutes. Turn on the broiler and broil the macaroni and cheese for 3 minutes. Do not leave your macaroni and cheese unattended when you turn on the broiler; the cheese will caramelize quickly. Excerpted from Ed Mitchell's Barbeque © 2023 by Ed Mitchell and Ryan Mitchell.
