A cofounder of Particles for Justice, she received the 2017 LGBT+ Physicists Acknowledgement of Excellence Award for her contributions to improving conditions for marginalized people in physics and the 2021 American Physical Society Edward A. Originally from East LA, she divides her time between the New Hampshire Seacoast and Cambridge, Massachusetts.Comedian guest: Born in London, from an Iranian father and a French mother, she grew up between Paris and London. She started doing impersonations and accents at 5. She attended youth theatre/musical theatre programs from 9 to 15 (Sylvia Young, Cours Florent). After receiving a BA in Global Communications and working as a journalist, she attended the classical acting course at LAMDA (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts). She is also an adjunct professor of Ethnic Studies at Wilmington University.Brittany was crowned Miss Delaware for the Miss America Organization in 2014 and Miss Black American 2017. She was awarded more than $35,000 in scholarships during her reign. During her pageant career she advocated for Domestic Violence Awareness after losing her sister to domestic violence in 2009.
