Nipsey The Great, Neighborhood Nip, Nipsey Hussle. Man. What can I say. I could go on a long explanation about what Nipsey meant to me. I did that in the episode. I could tell you what he meant to his community. I tried but it's not my place. I could tell you what he meant to his loved ones. But that's not my place ether. Nipsey told you his story, his perspective, showed you his compass, his morals. his beliefs and his emotion in each verse he laid. Nipsey provided for his community, his city, his family, his fans every single day. Nip showed up when and where most of us wouldn't. Nip stood on what he stood on, ten toes down. I don't know that there are many humans who made as big an impact in the short time like Nip did. Every day I think about what Nip would be doing, what phase of his life, his business, his music, his impact he would be at today. Nipsey Hussle is truly missed, but Ermias Joseph Asghedom is missed every single day by those that were closest to him and his spirit will live on forever. Thank you Nip for the legacy that you left that continues to grow because of who you surrounded yourself with in the physical. Thank you for your inspiring music. Thank you for being you. Thank you. Check out this episode about the one and only Ermias "Nipsey Hussle" Asghedom and his lasting impact and music. This whole episode is a sound bed of Nipsey music. Then go check out all of his music, interviews and book recommendations. Please like, subscribe and leave a review where possible. Thank you and have a great day. This is the last episode of this season. See you when we get back for season four.

This was hard to record, but happy that it's finally done. As a tribute birthday episode to Nipsey Hussle, this one is heavy, but necessary, and host Patrice shares very real feelings about experiencing loss, feeling uncomfortable and realizing that God's promise for our lives doesn't come without making sacrifices. It's not our typical episode, and we'll be back with a content creator interview later this week. Some things just needed to be said and we had to show love to Nipsey, as he was the real impetus behind CAMPspace (where we record the show) pivoting from being a cowork studio to a content creator haven!Shout outs: Ty Littman, our producer extraordinaire who really pushed Patrice to get this episode done AND edited it beautifully.Jessica Phillips, Demont Pinder, Kay Lee and James Flowers - the amazing artists who contributed original pieces to our recent #ErmiasatCAMP Nipsey Hussle Tribute exhibit. In light of the tragic murder of Ermias Joseph Asghedom, known as rapper and activist, Nipsey Hussle, the ladies of The LoveChat Podcast begin a broader conversation and pose several questions particularly for those who attain fortune or fame. Do you have to move differently? Can you still move freely amongst the people and help the community you grew up in? Or do you keep a healthy distance and help from afar? Is life different when you live that street life and blow up versus a sidewalk life and blow up? The ladies discuss the differences of those who run the streets versus a stroll on the sidewalk, (i.e.,President & First Lady Obama, T.I. & Kandi Burruss) and whether money changes those people or does the money change the people around them? #TheMarathonContinues #RIP

The Marathon Continues. Long Live Nipsey Hu$$le
Nipsey Hussle, born Ermias Joseph Asghedom , was shot and killed outside his Marathon Clothing Store located on Slauson and Crenshaw last weekend March 31, 2019. Slauson Girl talks with one of her co-host, founder of the music marketing/streaming platform TrapxLA about Nipsey's death and what his legacy means to South Central. The Conversation also touches on the Bloods and Crips unity walk held in honor of Nipsey, as well as the importance of shifting the consciousness of Hip-Hop.
In the episode I discuss the community violence in the black community and the affects it has on our mental health. I elaborated the effect that Nipsey Hussle's death had on the black community and why it cut so deep. This man was influential and a gem. Ermias Joseph Asghedom, known professionally as Nipsey Hussle, was an African American rapper, songwriter, entrepreneur, and community activist from Los Angeles, California. A man that embodied what the black community should be by investing in real estate, focusing on ownership, how to circulate the black dollar, bringing awareness to the culture, and giving back to our communities. What an honor to exist in his time and grateful to him for showing that the outer body doesn't always represent the inner. We have to value those who bring VALUE to our lives. There is room for all of us, we should not allow jealousy and envy to cloud our judgment which leads to violence. Let's keep his legacy moving by sharing our knowledge with others and support one another. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/SilentSymptomsPodcast/support

Gary lives just two minutes away from where the execution took place. Gary describes his memories of Nipsey and how this is not a coincidence, but something deeper than anyone probably knows. Gary also shared some insight about experiencing a panic attack, even though he does not have a disorder, he himself explains how he has them.
