What Should Short Guys Do? Welcome to Asian Hate Mail, the only podcast that brings up issues with the AAPI community. The podcast is not only about Anti-Asian Hate but includes history, personal development, and encouragement for those who feel affected by being born in the skin they are in. In this episode, I speak on a post I found on the subreddit r/AsianMasculinity. A subreddit that banned me for my beliefs that not every Asian person has trouble finding love or getting laid. They've all given up and lost all hope. I do hope this encourages you and anyone who believes that they're at a disadvantage because of the genes they inherited. Personally, I'm short and I'm Asian. But I never hated myself for it. I just accepted it and played to my strengths. In October of 1871, 2 years after the Chinese completed the Transcontinental Rail Road, Americans began lynching the Chinese immigrants. Due to a fight between two Chinese people, an officer was caught in between their crosshairs and was unlived. This caused the 500 angry Americans to lynch 17 Chinese immigrants. It was 10% of the Chinese population living in the United States at the time. What is Gawk Gawk 3000? Get yours here! There are two definitions of Gawk Gawk 3000. The first and foremost is when a woman shoves a phallus down her throat and then continues to massage the phallus inside the throat, down her neck, and back up to her mouth. Hi. I'm Joseph Mayuyo, my family (grandfather) left me with a generational curse that has affected me all my life. I was the only kid out of my siblings that were not planned. As I was told, my parents didn't want a son because they were superstitious about all the men who would be born from my dad's side. The curse is from my grandfather. He passed away before I could ever meet him. However, he died while he was angry and broken. My grandfather was known to be notorious back home in the Philippines. He had a lot of enemies. I asked my dad what he was like and why he never shared anything about him. What my dad said made me instantly regret being so curious. Apparently, my dad was born into a rich family. He is a middle child between 12 brothers and sisters. My dad clearly remembers how it affected him when he was a boy. Being from a rich family is not what my family is known for, especially now. My grandfather yelled curses as he passed away from multiple organ failures. But before all of that, he was a businessman. He raised and sold fighting roosters and would always have the most aggressive ones. Anyone who bought from him was surely going to win many matches. My grandfather became a slave to Japanese soldiers when he was a teenager. He competed in a country-wide tournament. He was still poor at this time, and the Philippines had just begun rebuilding the cities that had been devasted by World War II. Stories of having to execute his own people haunted him for many years. He was never religious and had no hope. When he escaped from being held captive by the Japanese Occupation in Hermosa Bataan, known as the road of the "death march." He went on a guerilla warfare mission with other countrymen. As he was being treated, he met my grandma, a nurse at a local hospital wing. They fell in love, and from what I heard, my grandfather was never that happy ever again. My last name was given to him, "Mayuyo," by a Japanese soldier who helped him escape captivity. My dad said my grandfather shot the soldier who helped him escape and buried him half alive. This is where my grandma believes he was cursed. He had multiple businesses that failed. One after another. As my grandmother would pray the rosary, he would insult the idea of God. He met with a witch doctor who promised him that he would be free from the curse. But he had to pass the curse down to every male born in his lineage. The witch placed the curse on a rooster he brought for the offering. He was instructed to put that rooster into a fight right away. If the rooster won, the curse would leave him forever. Sure enough, he had a champion. Fought many. Battles and never died in a fight. He would begin breeding roosters, and his business finally was getting somewhere. When he found out about the regional rooster, he decided to enter for the grand prize was $10,000 US Dollars. This would change the trajectory of his life forever. Getting rich was the absolute worse thing that happened to him. Salvia, you b*tch. I miss this version of myself, one who was so fearless. I would have never thought I would become so anxious until one day at Venice Beach, California. Even the citizens of Los Angeles look at going to Venice Beach as if it were going to be an incredible adventure. Once you get passed all the rappers trying to sell you copies of their CDs, you enter what seems to be where the 70s decided not to die and stay. It isn't like this today, and I don't need to explain why unless you just woke up from a coma. That's what I can explain the effect you feel when you're on Salvia. There has been a wide awakening to psychedelics in the last years. It is mainly regarding MDMA (Ecstasy), Psilocybin (Shrooms), Ayuascha, 5meo-DMT, to name a few. Salvia is different; even though it is a psychedelic, it's in the family of the sage plant. New Age Occultists or (witchcraft) burn sage to eliminate what is unwanted in their interpretation and discernment. History brings us back to times when persons practicing witchcraft were burned alive. That is partly why the discussion of Salvia is rarely in the forum. Christianity considers burning sage as a medium for sorcery. Surprisingly, sage is in many products we use today, especially candles. Salvia, sage, and mint all come from the same family. They look identical. The past decade has been thrilled with the discovery of DMT. In this article, I'll refer to Ayuasca and 5meo-DMT as simply “DMT.” If you must know the difference at face value, Ayuasca is administered by drinking, while 5meo-DMT is administered through an apparatus and inhaled. Every plant psychedelic is carefully looked at because we share a similarity with the plant. For example, methamphetamine does not have a spirit because it's artificial. What happens when you cut a flower from its root? You killed it. Think about that next time someone gives you flowers. Like plants, those who believe in the soul understand that our souls are attached to our bodies. When our body fails, our spirit soul splits from the body. So when you take any of these psychedelics, you have to approach them understanding this because you will (if the spirit is willing) experience the death of your ego. The boys and I went to our friend's open house. His parents were into real estate at the time, and he had this whole complex to himself. If you ever try any psychedelic, be sure to have an expert with you or, at the least, a sober observer. At the time I tried it, we rarely Google said anything. The first iPhone was just about to release in the following months. We brought back from Venice a few new pipes for cannabis. However, we saw a plant displayed next to the incense in one of the shops. Mary and I met a few weeks ago and had a virtual podcast session. I was looking for answers to so many questions I had. I was wondering if I was alone or if other people were going through the same thing. As this is called the Attacking Anxiety Podcast, I had to take a step back from everything to question my fundamentals. I had to do this for something other than myself. I realized a lot of the things I don't want to do in life are the things people like watching me do. Like... talking to a complete stranger for 2 hours whilst asking the deepest questions. That's just who I am. I don't wanna know how your day is. I wanna what you are doing with the time you have been blessed with! Most people are surface individuals. Meaning, they aren't able to have deep conversations point-blank. "Scratching the Surface." There's nothing wrong with that, and with time you can improve. But some people are too much into something else and cannot face reality. This is why we have so many outlets of escapism. A story about My Final Hours With The Most Hard Working Mentor I Had. My mom passed in 2017. I was holding her hand while we were sleeping. The clock was at 7:30 and I had to use the bathroom. When I let go of my mom's hand, I checked to see if she was breathing and if she is still alive. I saw that she was barely hanging on a thread of grace. I was gone for no more than two minutes. I heard my aunt scream and that's when I knew. I told this story because mother's day, one day is going to feel like this. I want you to understand the process and that it's okay to take your time to grieve. But all the more while your mom is here, live with her to the fullest. S3. E7. Stop Anxiety with The Peter Pan Effect The Peter Pan Effect is a method of stopping or preventing or getting through an anxiety/panic attack. It is not backed by science whatsoever. It is something I found to help me get through panic attacks. When the feeling comes, try to think of a happy thought. If you ever watched the movie Hook, I'm basically referencing the situation with Peter Pan. From a psychoanalytical perspective, the only way he could fly was to remember a happy thought. But it must be powerful enough and meaningful, in order for him to fly. With your anxiety or worry, I want you to do the same thing. I'm not saying you're gonna fly obviously. But you might fly through your trials. You might look more fly. And most importantly, you learn how to train your mind. It's going to take time. Just keep trying. A story of being young dumb and in love. When we're younger, it's funny to even think we understood what love was. I always thought love was this feeling you get when you're with that person. You know like butterflies and all that corny stuff. I always thought that was love. The heart is deceitful though. We likely are more in love with the feeling than we are in love with a person. Let me explain that. We often confuse love and lust. Lust is just as strong as love. Just as love means letting go. Finding out if you're in love with a person or you're in love with how that person makes you feel are two totally different things. First off, define love? That's subjective. Sometimes I Love You, Sometimes I Hate You. It takes years to fully love someone. Most of the time we're only in love with how they make us feel. It takes time and true struggle, to see if you really have love. For love is unconditional. It is not petty. It is mature. It is private. Love is the reason we have life. Christina Dacera was laid to rest on January 10th, 2021. Sadly, nine days after she passed away. She worked as a flight attendant for Philippine Air Lines. She was young. Just 23 years old. Gaslighting is a form of psychological manipulation in which a person or a group covertly sows seeds of doubt in a targeted individual or group, making them question their own memory, perception, or judgment, often evoking in them cognitive dissonance and other changes, including low self-esteem. Using denial, misdirection, contradiction, and misinformation, gaslighting involves attempts to destabilize the victim and delegitimize the victim's beliefs. Instances can range from the denial by an abuser that previous abusive incidents occurred, to belittling the victim's emotions and feelings, to the staging of bizarre events by the abuser with the intention of disorienting the victim.
