This is a chapter in a Bible story that depicts practicing the wisdom of God and taking courage to take a righteous stand your enemy will become victims of the plots they devised to do you harm. Don't let your faith fail you and God will manifest His presence on your behalf.
God loves justice even more than we do. In this passage, we are introduced to the way in which God brings about His justice in a way that is unmistakable for those who know Him and are saturated in His word. - Pastor Kevin
Everything is falling apart for Haman; everything is coming together for God's people. Let's consider how this text points us to God's work in Christ. - Pastor Kevin
These chapters mark the turning of the tide in this great tale. The change in power, influence, and safety for Esther, Mordecai, and the Jews could not be more dramatic! They go from victims to victors in only a few short movements of the story. We can clearly see there that God not only thwarts the plans of the Enemy, he puts his people in places of influence to reverse the damage and heal harms. He not only protects us, he places us and uses us to help him change the world and impact our communities and neighborhoods!
God has an unbreakable law - the wicked will fail and the righteous will prevail.

25.11.9 - Esther 7:1-10 - Josh Breffle by Windsor Community Church
One of the dominant themes in the Bible is how the weak overcome the strong. Esther illustrates this dynamic by how she channels the strength of others against themselves. The authority and emotional volatility that makes the King a fearsome tyrant becomes the means by which Esther brings salvation to her people. The massive ego of Haman that drives his murderous crusade against the Jews becomes the cause of his downfall. Words and indirect influence enable Esther to act with great agency in a world with the cards stacked against her. Yet she's not alone. Remember Esther means “hidden” which not only describes her concealed Jewish identity, but also the hidden way in which God works in the background on behalf of his people. In chapters 7-8, Esther's hiddenness gets exposed which places her at the mercy of the “hidden” sovereignty of God. The stakes rise as the various threads of the narrative come together in surprising and unexpected ways. This is Understanding Esther. Every decision we make has consequences, whether good or bad. This is especially true for our evil and sinful choices. Haman's story is an excellent warning to us.

And in every province and in every city, wherever the king's command and his edict reached, there was gladness and joy among the Jews, a feast and a holiday. And many from the peoples of the country declared themselves Jews, for fear of the Jews had fallen on them. - Esther 8:17
It's said that “sin takes you farther than you want to go, keeps you longer than you want to stay, and costs you more than you want to pay.” Do we conceal or confront sin? What are the consequences of each? Today we see a sobering contrast in characters and find much to learn from God's Word!
