How do white women uphold white supremacy? What does it mean to be an ally? How have you dealt white women highjacking conversations that do not center them? How many times has a white woman cried to control you? This week, we talk about White Men's ride or die, who don't get to fly under the radar, especially as 55% of them voted to keep vocal white supremacy in power. Bill Burr was right. Come rant with us on Social Media: https://linktr.ee/99percentanomaly. Cass is all about reminding white people that they're white. Dassa is all about reminding white people that she's black. Nessa doesn't talk to them enough to remind them of anything. Music by Sarel (@sarel_youniverse) and Jeff Pierre (@jeffpierremusic).
Do you feel like your struggle defines you? Do you think struggle helps one build good character? Do you think struggle (or lack thereof) affects people's ability to empathize? Do you participate in the Struggle Olympics? This week we change gears a little bit to talk about something we can all relate to as we all struggle with something. Are some struggles invalid? Cass thinks so. Nessa is realizing that her struggles continually evolve with her. Dassa concludes the episode with a rant directed at Walmart and other giant corporations that are not taking the proper protection measures for their employees and customers in face of COVID 19. What's your MBTI Personality Type? Have you gotten mixed results? What's your understanding of those kinds of tests? Do you buy it? Have they helped you? In this episode, we talk about a fairly popular topic that we seem to love, classification. Personality tests generally help people develop a language and system around the patterns they've noticed within themselves, their decision-making, and their approach to the world. Here we talk about our own Myers-Briggs types, how we relate to it, how knowing it has helped or hindered us, and some of the resources we've used. The podcast we mentioned is Personality Hacker and you can reach them at personalityhacker.com. Listen for insight into a deeper and useful perspective of MBTI from Dassa, Cass's trouble and anxiety about identifying a type, and Nessa's acceptance story of her weirdness. What's your type?
