It's a new week in Bravo history with RHOSLC coming to an end and an awakening happening on RHOA! Samantha (@BravoHistorian) is here to help Mani break down the two shows starting with the women on SLC having one reception from the show and another reception from their reunion performances. Then Mani and Sam travel to South Carolina to get acquainted with the revealing ladies of Atlanta and the new RHOA staple, Bolo! Sam is good at picking a team to stick with and her reasons may surprise you. Was Kenya trying to steal the show? Whose run on RHOA has absolutely come to an end? WHO GOT THEIR PEACHES COBBLED!? The freshman season of RHOSLC reunion did not disappoint! The ladies came out ready to rumble! Mary definitely held her own as Lisa Barlow tried to protect her image against Whitney and Heather. Is Heather really the Queen Bee this season? What was Andy alluding to when asking Jen if something happened in the past with her husband? We can't wait for next week! In Dallas, Tiffany threw a very chic pizza party that included: crickets, booties, and a curfew. Are the women just jealous of her mansion and successful job? (26:15) Jason mentions that the option of having the ability to work at home or to work at the office is highly significant. (28:40) In Jason’s opinion, he thinks that the year 2021 is going to probably look a lot like this year, 2020. (29:53) Heather mentions that because of the pandemic, she learned that it’s impossible to forecast the future. (29:58) Heather shares that she finds certainty, solitude, and comfort by staying focused on herself and can pivot, optimize, and improve whatever situation she goes into. (31:28) Heather shares that she just finished reading the book entitled Never Split The Difference, by Chris Voss. (33:03) Heather mentions that she is currently writing a new book. (33:29)   Key Quotes: “I wrote and self-published my book, and I just continued to take action, step into fear and believe that bringing my talents to whatever lane I went to would inevitably work or not, but I've had that opportunity to pivot and try something different.” - Heather Monahan “If I just go out there on the stage and give it my best, I’m going to be proud of me. But if I don't go out there, I’ll never live it down in my mind. I can do this, lower the expectations and step into it.”  - Heather Monahan “People need to feel empowered, they need to feel safe, and they need to feel that they're in a trusting environment whatever that looks like.” - Heather Monahan “You’ve got to reinvent yourself and you've got to find a way to create connections through a computer, which isn't easy for everyone. So you've got to start employing different tactics, testing different things, and meeting with people who are doing well so you can learn some hacks from them.” - Heather Monahan “One of the most powerful things you can do for one of your clients or customers is asking how they are in a truly caring way and allow them to empty their glass. You just created such trust and such connection, that their brain is firing dopamine and they feel amazing.” - Heather Monahan “What we can do is we can find certainty within ourselves. Meaning, if we are still in an environment like this, you know, virtually a portion of my business more, I'll capitalize and I'll find ways to be more efficient, effective, and optimize what I'm currently doing.” - Heather Monahan   Resources Mentioned: Agency Intelligence Reach out to Jason Cass LinkedIn- Heather Monahan Speakers Bureau TedX Confidence Creator   Advertisers: Podium ePay Policy

We’re super excited to have Heather Brooker on the show today. This mom, comedian, podcaster, and actress has been on shows including The Office and Grey’s Anatomy, and Jamie really looks up to her. If you’re not familiar with her from her acting roles, you might recognize her from her podcast Motherhood in Hollywood. As you’ll hear in this conversation, Jamie is really excited to hear about Heather’s life and career. Heather has been a TV reporter and international correspondent, as well as a host on the red carpet at the Oscars, so you can imagine why Jamie is thrilled for this conversation! You’ll love it, too, because it’s a powerful look into accomplishing big dreams, even when it takes a while. One thing that Heather has struggled with is finding a place in Hollywood as a heavier actress. We’ll go into some depth today about the issues with typecasting and the tendency to portray heavy people as being funny when they’re the butt of fat jokes instead of being comedic in their own right. As you might have guessed from that, being heavy in Hollywood requires a lot of confidence. And, luckily, that’s something that Heather has! It’s great to hear her take on how she builds and maintains this confidence, even when it seems like the people around her are set on destroying it. In fact, she’s so confident that she’s able to joke and laugh about events that would hurt other people deeply. Just wait ‘til you hear her story about trying to get Hugh Grant’s attention! Tune in to hear a refreshing, down-to-earth, and downright funny perspective on what it’s like to be a mother in Hollywood, a heavier woman on the red carpet, and a wife who’s been married for more than half of her life. She’s an amazing person, and this conversation was such a treat!
