Sorcha started using drugs to numb herself from the struggles of her physical and mental illnesses. This went on for about two years.Then she focused on getting healthy. Today, she relies on movement, nutrition, and self-care to stay present and optimize her quality of life. She's passionate about raising awareness about addiction and holistic treatment of health of wellness among the chronic illness community. She is also a certified health and wellness coach. The phenomenon is called Apport.   In parapsychology and Spiritualism, an apport is the alleged paranormal transference of an article from one place to another, or an appearance of an article from an unknown source that is often associated with poltergeist activity or séances. Apports reported during séances have been found to be the result of deliberate fraud.  No medium or psychic has demonstrated the manifestation of an apport under scientifically controlled conditions. History A famous apport fraud is attributed to Charles Bailey (1870–1947). During a séance, Bailey produced two live birds seemingly out of thin air, but was undone when the dealer who sold him the birds appeared in the crowd. Common objects that are produced are stones, flowers, perfumes, and animals. These objects are said to be "gifts" from the spirit(s). In March 1902 in Berlin, police officers interrupted a séance of the apport medium Frau Anna Rothe. Her hands were grabbed and she was wrestled to the ground. A female police assistant physically examined Rothe and discovered 157 flowers as well as oranges and lemons hidden in her petticoat. She was arrested and charged with fraud.[4] After a trial lasting six days she was sentenced to eighteen months imprisonment. In 1926, Heinrich Melzer was exposed as a fraud as he was caught in the séance room with small stones attached to the back of his ears by flesh coloured tape. According to neurologist Terence Hines "Some female mediums went so far as to conceal in their vagina or anus objects to be 'apported' during the seance and gauzy fabric that would become 'ectoplasm' during the seance. These were places that Victorian gentlemen, no matter how skeptical, were highly unlikely to ask to search." There are many cases where apports have been smuggled into the séance room. Other apport mediums that were exposed as frauds were Lajos Pap and Maria Silbert.[ Victims of such incidents think they merely forgot where they had placed the objects, and dismiss these experiences from their minds. But sometimes, what is lost is something of value and never appears again. Such is the case of a man who lives alone in the same condo where I hold office. He told me that $100 to $500 disappear from his wallet every now and then. Since he lives alone, the money could not have been stolen from him, this is probably the work of elementals, which are often mischievous or naughty and make life miserable for some people. Elementals are also called “nature spirits.” They correspond to the four elements of matter identified by the ancient Greek philosopher Empedocles (495-435 BC) and later by the 15th-century Swiss physician, alchemist and astrologer Paracelsus (1493-1541). He classified these invisible creatures or nature spirits into four categories: gnomes (earth), undines (water), sylphs (air) and salamanders (fire). They help preserve the balance of nature. Most elementals, however, are harmless and should not be feared, but their presence can be annoying because they are capable of doing mischief, like hiding or making personal objects disappear. Most of the time, however, they return such objects, but in another place in the house or office. Two weeks ago, one heavy book I was reading disappeared from my desk at home and I could not find it. After three days, the book suddenly appeared under my bed in my library at home. It was found by my housekeeper when she cleaned the library. How it got there, nobody knew, of course. I was just thankful it was returned to me. The only thing I can suggest when such things happen to you is to try to talk to such creatures, even if you feel foolish for doing so, and plead to them to return your missing items. If you can find a clairvoyant or psychic who can see and talk to them, so much the better.

In this episode, Krystal Clark shares her story of her molestation at the age of seven from her cousin who was even younger. This abuse and the shame she felt triggered her Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) later in life.Krystal Clark is now doing well in her recovery. She is an Author, Blogger, Life Coach, Public Speaker, and Data Management Professional. Krystal has published several books including a Fantasy Fiction book called “Balance Of Power” which chronicles the mental toll trauma can take. Krystal also has a podcast called ‘Moving with Meaning-The Podcast' in which she talks about many topics. This is an important episode about the effects of this type of trauma, especially at such a young age. It is my opinion that this type of abuse is rampant in the U.S. and around the world. In a lot of cases these acts cause great mental anguish throughout the victim's life. I feel in most cases it goes unreported because of the shame victims feel. If we work together this world would be a much better place to live in. Since this month is Mental Health month, now is the time to fight for our and our children's contentment and happiness. This world is what we make it. Suffering is a part of life, like losing. You have to grow from it. We do not need to add to it by hiding in shame and fearing judgement from others. Society gives you permission to drink or take harmful drugs that only cover up the pain for a short time. The damage mental health issues do to our society is everywhere. A life no one wants to live.

Today's guest, author Hannah Sward, has quite the story to tell. So much so, she wrote about it in her memoir Strip, an International Book Award Finalist, Reader's Choice Award Finalist and Book Soup Bestseller…which is quite the homage to her late father; the renowned poet and novelist Robert Sward.  Widely published in literary journals in the US, Canada, and the UK, her work has also appeared in publications such as LA Times, HuffPost, and many others. She was a regular contributor at The Fix and Erotic Review and columnist and editor at Third Street Villager in Los Angeles.  Hannah Sward, was born in the bohemian seventies, abandoned by her mother at the age of two and lived with her father on an island in Victoria, B.C. that had no stores or cars.  At the age of six, she was kidnapped and molested by a stranger, and as she got older, became a stripper and a prostitute with a taste for crystal meth.   Although Strip is often referred to as an addiction memoir, as one book reviewer wrote, “that is just one part of it. Strip is about so much more. It is a book about loss, loneliness, and the yearning for something more.” It is also, as Nobel Prize Winner J.M. Coetzee wrote, “Touchingly honest, and written with a light touch.” She writes about the silent gurus, sugar daddies, and drinking in the CVS bathroom before therapy sessions in a painstakingly honest, detailed, and often humorous way. ‘Strip' is a heartfelt memoir revealing Hannah's journey from innocence to darkness and beyond, to a world of empowerment. EPISODE 106 | Suffer the Children – Pizzagate, Wayfair & the Seeds of QAnon "Without a clear indication of the author's intent, it is difficult or impossible to tell the difference between an expression of sincere extremism and a parody of extremism." In the world of the internet, this is known as Poe's Law, and it's especially applicable to the weird narrative Gordian Knot known as Pizzagate. The adage applies not just to how absurd some beliefs are, but also to the arguments made by people who hold these beliefs. First formulated in 2005 by Nathan Poe, it builds on a 2001 quote by Alan Morgan called Alan's 2nd Law of Newsgroups, which states, “Any sufficiently advanced troll is indistinguishable from a genuine kook.” And that is certainly the case for the wild story that “a hipster-heavy pizza parlor” (as they put it on their website) in the Chevy Chase neighborhood of Washington D.C. is not just a fun family place with pizza, ping pong and live music, but the nerve center for an diabolical child trafficking ring that operates out in the open because they are protected by highly-placed pedophiles in the Democratic party. As an article on Cracked.com puts it, “This is supported by lots of very stupid evidence”. The stakes of the fake narrative are so high that it's become more than just true believers review bombing the place. Workers have been harassed and, on December 4, 2016, a heavily armed man entered the restaurant and started firing guns. The story of Pizzagate is the story of how the conspirasphere went from harmless kookery to being actually, physically dangerous. There is also a brief mention of suicidal ideation.  Today, Jan is joined by Lee Cooper, who courageously discusses the sexual violence he experienced at the hands of his father, not revealing his secret until 20 years later during the Covid Pandemic.  Through his healing, Lee has created a photography collective called “Places Nowhere”, which expresses the dissociation one experiences during and after being sexually assaulted. Lee and Jan converse about Lee's passion for photography and how it became a form of escape and mindfulness during his healing process. Lee speaks openly about the bullying and sexual abuse he endured , the abusive relationship with his father, and the traumatic incidents he both witnessed and experienced.. He highlights the importance of safe spaces and the vital role his grandmother played by offering her love and support.
