As many of you know, our friend, the writer Joe Pulver, died one year ago, on April 24, 2020. We miss him... very much. Mike Davis, editor of The Lovecraft Ezine and horror writer Pete Rawlik talk about the 'King in Yellow' mythos in an episode specially recorded for Indian Noir listeners. Discussion questions: Qn1. Mike what are your thoughts on why the King in Yellow mythos still fascinates modern horror writers? Qn 2. What do you think are some of the themes in the King in Yellow mythos that resonate with you? Qn 3. The late Joe Pulver is perhaps one of the best known editors in the field, who dedicated his life to editing and writing King in Yellow mythos tales. And I know you were close friends with him. I was wondering if you could please talk a bit about his contributions to enhancing the legacy of Chambers' original tale? Q4. You edit the influential Lovecraft ezine and your youtube interviews with modern horror greats, which is also available as a podcast, which I will link to in the show notes, are legendary. Do you think we are entering a golden era of horror and how do you think the horror fiction scene will evolve in the near future? Q5. Given the recent turn of events in the world, do you think we are already in Carcosa? Sure feels like it to me.
