We experience this every year as boxing fans: weather heats up, so do the fights. Yes, we've had cancellations and postponements, but that's just a part of the sport. We've already had a solid first near-half of the year, and we have some tasty stuff coming our way too. This weekend Gennady Golovkin finally makes it back into the ring, albeit not against "Canelo" Alvarez and not on HBO PPV as we had all hoped and anticipated. Instead, due to the whole Clenbuterol thing, we'll see Golovkin take on Vanes Martirosyan on HBO. It's a weird Cinco de Mayo consolation, but...okay. Intriguing, however, is the addition of undefeated and undisputed women's welterweight champion Cecilia Braekhus in a title defense against Kali Reis. Also this weekend is the rematch between Tony Bellew and David Haye. It's a rematch so highly anticipated I'm just going to end this sentence after I change the subject to last weekend. Daniel Jacobs scrapped his way to a decision win over Maciej Sulecki on HBO last weekend, and that needs some discussing. Mostly a potential Jacobs-Charlo showdown needs discussing, but that's what we mean here. There's also that showing from Jarrell "Big Baby" Miller against Johann Duhaupas. That was a thing. HBO Boxing Insiders Eric Raskin and Kieran Mulvaney discuss Daniel Jacobs and Jarrell "Big Baby" Miller's respective decision victories in Brooklyn over game underdogs Maciej Sulecki and Johann Duhaupas and project where all of the fighters go from here.

Hopefully the weak beginning of 2015 is finally over, now that we're nine months into the year. Yeah, it took a while, but now at least there seems to be solid blocks of decent boxing on. There was that heavyweight clash on NBC between Deontay Wilder and Johann Duhaupas, and the fight between Juan Francisco Estrada and Hernan "Tyson" Marquez was fun, but this weekend looks more promising. On HBO and live from the seemingly lucky StubHub Center in Carson, Calif., Mucas Matthysse and Viktor Postol square off in what could be a trickily good fight, while Antonio Orozco vs Humberto Soto opens up the telecast. Unfortunately, the Showtime broadcast on Saturday night will go head-to-head with HBO, featuring Adrien Broner vs Khabib Allakhverdiev. The co-featur, Jose Pedraza vs Edner Cherry, isn't much to write home about, unfortunately. As always, hosting the show are James Foley of Bad Left Hook and The Fight City's Patrick Connor. We're sorry. Follow them on Twitter... James Foley: @JFoley81 Patrick Connor: @PatrickMConnor Thanks for tuning in!

After more than two years of carrying on this Mickey Mouse operation, we've decided to add a new feature to the show! Apart from our usual pre-fight and post-fight discussions, Aris Pina of Compubox will join Patrick Connor of The Fight City for some boxing history discussion. In our inaugural episode, in honor of Deontay Wilder's upcoming defense of the WBC heavyweight belt against Johann Duhaupas, the fight history nerds discuss the list of the biggest punchers the heavyweight division has ever seen. While Wilder still has much to prove, his 34-0 record that includes 33 knockouts shouldn't be quickly dismissed. Who are heavyweight's biggest punchers? Do any heavyweights of recent years compare to the hardest punchers ever? Would would reign supreme among them? To ask questions, offer up comments or ideas... Top Men Boxing Radio page on Facebook: click here Aris Pina on Twitter: @PunchZoneAris Patrick Connor on Twitter: @PatrickMConnor and @BoxingHistory
