Andrew goes over the PBC's latest card on Fox; does Al Haymon need to figure out better ways to fill airtime? Ever since becoming a heavyweight 10 years ago what has David Haye accomplished in that time? GGG demolished Vanes Martirosyan in 2 rounds; can a Canelo rematch be next? And who is our host picking in this Saturday's lightweight championship match between Jorge Linares and Vasyl Lomachenko? PLEASE leave a review and rating on iTunes for the BOXING 4 FREE podcast!
Francis Paquin, Adrien Meure et Vincent Tremblay reviennent sur la victoire expéditive de Gennady Golovkin sur Vanes Martirosyan.
The verdict is in and, despite all of the shenanigans, Gennady Golovkin's quick KO win over Vanes Martirosyan sold like hotcakes on HBO. What exactly that means isn't quite clear, but more Golovkin on our television sets is something most boxing fans seem to want. In the co-feature, Cecilia Braekhus had to battle through a few rough patches to retain her welterweight title over Kali Reis. But the larger story is that with the first women's boxing match on HBO happening without a serious hitch and cleared the way for more. This coming weekend on ESPN, Vasyl Lomachenko takes on Jorge Linares at Madison Square Garden, and for once we get to see if a a Lomachenko opponent is able to hang with him on the boxing front. Over on HBO, Sadam Ali takes on late replacement Jaime Munguia on the heels of sending Miguel Cotto into retirement with a tough loss. Expect this and more on this week's episode of Knuckles and Gloves Boxing Radio with Brin-Jonathan Butler and Patrick Connor. Follow us on Twitter! Billy C gives his thoughts on all the big fights from the weekend, including GGG's KO over Martirosyan, Bellew over Haye, Garcia over Velez and more. Billy C talks about Oscar De Lay Hoya's comments on Canelo cheating are outrageous!

Next, Montero reviews wins by Ryan Garcia and Gary "Spike" O'Sullivan Friday night on ESPN, Saturday's action from London where Tony Bellew destroyed David Haye, followed by Cecilia Braekus making history and Gennady Golovkin blowing out Vanes Martirosyan on HBO. Lastly, Montero previews cards on ESPN and HBO this Saturday. At Madison Square Garden in New York City, Jorge Linares defends his lightweight championship against Vasyl Lomachenko, while in upstate New York, Sadam Ali defends his junior middleweight title against Jaime Munguia and Rey Vargas defends his super bantamweight title against Azat Hovhannisyan. HBO Boxing Insiders Eric Raskin and Kieran Mulvaney look back on Gennady Golovkin's destructive second-round knockout of Vanes Martirosyan and Cecilia Braekhus' historic win over Kali Reis, then look ahead to the May 12 doubleheader headlined by Sadam Ali's dangerous defense against undefeated puncher Jaime Munguia.
Brian Campbell and Rafe Bartholomew preview Vasily Lomachenko's return on Saturday as the pound-for-pound king moves up in weight to challenge lightweight champion Jorge Linares. The guys also recap a wild weekend in boxing, including Gennady Golovkin?s knockout over Vanes Martirosyan and whether there?s confidence that Canelo Alvarez will be next. Plus, the time is now to start loving heavyweight Tony Bellew after his emotional rematch against David Haye and will junior lightweight Ryan Garcia live up to the hype as a future star? Gennady Golovkin makes easy work of Vanes Martirosyan. He shouldn't get anything but praise for his easy victory. He's not at fault for being in this situation. He wasn't running from even a positve tested Canelo and he shouldn't be strong armed any alphabet soup sanctioning body. IBF, WBA, WBO, WBC...all of them can kick rocks. Fighters make the belts. Not the other way. HBO treated women's boxing like it was aliens landing on earth. They're just late to the party. David Haye gets floored by Tony Bellew. What is next for the bomber? How's about a stand off between "Creed' bad guy "Pretty" Ricky Conlan vs "Rocky Balboa" bad guy, Mason Dixon. That's right Antonio Tarver vs Tony Bellew. Boxing needs to treat it's legends better. They need to age better, like in MMA. UFC 224 picks. Plus new segment: Speed Bag. Who will do better? Dana White in boxing or Oscar De La Hoya in MMA.

Mexican style drama without a mexican headlining. We make our predictions for GGG vs Vanes Martirosyan. We also talk about the Bellew vs Haye rematch. The return of Jamie Cox after his WBSS loss. We breakdown Daniel Jacobs vs Maciej Sulecki and how close of fight it was.
HBO Boxing Insiders Eric Raskin and Kieran Mulvaney preview Gennady Golovkin's return to live HBO, as "GGG" takes on Vanes Martirosyan and attempts his record-tying 20th middleweight title defense.
Despite all that has went on, we will have fights this Cinco De Mayo weekend and to help us sort it all out is Adam Abramowitz of SaturdayNightBoxing.com. We will explain why GGG vs. Vanes will not be as bad as some think it will be and breakdown the fights going down from SoCal this weekend. Former Olympian and one of the hottest prospects in the game Shakur Stevenson will join us. He says he’s the #1 prospect out there today and after claiming another win this past weekend it’s hard to doubt him. We’ll chat about his career progression and how he’s handling the hype. Is a star born in Isaac Dogboe? After stopping Jessie Magdaleno and capturing the WBO belt, a new world has opened up for the undefeated fighter from Ghana. We talk fight options and if he is ready for stardom that is infront of him. Daniel Jacobs won this past weekend, but still lacking sizzle. What will it take for him to be the star Eddie Hearn hopes he will be? Plus your calls and tweets. Like what we are doing? We experience this every year as boxing fans: weather heats up, so do the fights. Yes, we've had cancellations and postponements, but that's just a part of the sport. We've already had a solid first near-half of the year, and we have some tasty stuff coming our way too. This weekend Gennady Golovkin finally makes it back into the ring, albeit not against "Canelo" Alvarez and not on HBO PPV as we had all hoped and anticipated. Instead, due to the whole Clenbuterol thing, we'll see Golovkin take on Vanes Martirosyan on HBO. It's a weird Cinco de Mayo consolation, but...okay. Intriguing, however, is the addition of undefeated and undisputed women's welterweight champion Cecilia Braekhus in a title defense against Kali Reis. Also this weekend is the rematch between Tony Bellew and David Haye. It's a rematch so highly anticipated I'm just going to end this sentence after I change the subject to last weekend. Daniel Jacobs scrapped his way to a decision win over Maciej Sulecki on HBO last weekend, and that needs some discussing. Mostly a potential Jacobs-Charlo showdown needs discussing, but that's what we mean here. There's also that showing from Jarrell "Big Baby" Miller against Johann Duhaupas. That was a thing. In episode #121 of The Neutral Corner, Michael Montero talks about the posturing from both sides of the Joshua-Wilder negotiation, Canelo Alvarez submitting a hair follicle sample that came back negative for Clenbuterol, and several fights coming together. Next, Montero reviews an upset win by Isaac Dogboe over Jessie Magdaleno, Katie Taylor unifying titles, plus wins by Jarrell Miller, Daniel Jacobs and others on Fox, ESPN and HBO cards. Last, Montero previews this week's action, with Friday and Saturday night cards at StubHub Center in Los Angeles, including Gennady "GGG" Golovkin defending his middleweight titles against Vanes Martirosyan.

This special weekend edition of the Fight Game Podcast is heavy on the boxing talk. If you're a big boxing fan, you'll be super interested in this one. But before Duan and GG talk about the world of boxing, they discuss WrestleMania 34 weekend as they were both there in person. In fact, while knowing each other for years, this is the first time they met up in person. After the WrestleMania talk, they hit the boxing topics like heavy bag. They discuss the two fights that happened before their recording, which was Amir Khan's comeback fight after a two year layoff and the 126-pound matchup between Carl Frampton and Nonito Donaire. GG saw both fights on streaming networks (ESPN + and Facebook Video) and compares the two services. After that they look at Canelo Alvarez's suspension and talk about how the drug testing failure makes little sense. They then discuss Triple G's replacement fight against Vanes Martirosyan. They also look forward to Deontay Wilder and Anthony Joshua and talk about the difficulties in making that fight and the future of Manny Pacquiao without Freddie Roach (maybe just for this fight against Lucas Matthysse) in his corner. Lastly, they discuss the future of their Fabulous Four Podcast series and when they'll pick it up to finish it off. The Pound4Pound Kings of Boxing Broadcast Journalism. ONTHEGRiND BOXiNG is the world's number 1 boxing podcast, and blogtalkradio's original boxing program. OtG wraps up the BOXiNG Weekend. Deontay Wilder is breathing sigh of after Alexander Povetkin tested dirty for the recently banned substance meldonium, a little over one week out from their WBC Heavyweight Championship clash. The fight Wilder and his team so desperately avoided, is in limbo. If Wilder takes the fight and loses, his loss will be forgiven with the position, "He lost to a drug cheat." If Wilder wins the fight, "He beat a cheater." If he chooses not to fight, "Povetkin is a cheater and didn't deserve to fight for the title." Even if Wilder gets stretched out and is looking up at lights from a horizontal position, he becomes millions of dollars richer. It's win-win-win-win for Wilder. All that remains to be seen is whether he takes his victory lap on Twitter or through Moscow in a wheelchair. The OtG Team previews the Erislandy Lara vs Vanes Martirosyan doubleheader featuring the Austin Trout vs Jermall Charlo grudge match and more. ONTHEGRiND BOXiNG breaks down the latest boxing news, commentary, predictions and analysis from around the boxing world.

Floyd "Money" Mayweather could have actually fought for the last time. The idea of a sport without a huge magnet sitting in the middle is nice. That the end may have come by way of a wide win over Andre Berto is underwhelming, but boxing. And now that the fight is out of the way, we have a potential PED mess to talk about. The good news is that the Pay-Per-View undercard was fun. "Rocky" Martinez and Orlando Salido were in another gritty war, Badou Jack shaded George Groves by decision, and Jonathan Oquendo upset Jhonny Gonzalez in a back-and-forth scrap. There was other boixing stuff on. Peter Quillin scored a nasty stoppage of Michael Zerafa; Vanes Martirosyan dropped Ishe Smith a few times in winning; Jermall Charlo wiped out Cornelius Bundrage; Adonis Stevenson took out Tommy Karpency easily; Errol Spence, Jr. broke down Chris Van Heerden; and Anthony Joshua mopped up Gary Cornish. There was a lot of boxing. Not all good, but it gives James Foley of Bad Left Hook and The Fight City's Patrick Connor a ton to discuss with author and filmmaker Brin-Jonathan Butler. The moment almost none of us have been waiting for is here. Floyd Mayweather fights Andre Berto this weekend on Pay-Per-View, for way too much money, under the guise that this will be his final bout. As you can see, we're really excited about the prospect of paying $75 to watch Floyd fight a guy who lost to Jesus Soto Karass and Victor Ortiz. At least the undercard (Badou Jack vs George Groves, Roman Martinez vs Orlando Salido II, Ishe Smith vs Vanes Martirosyan) isn't laughable. Earlier Saturday on NBC, Peter Quillin fights a guy named Michael Zerafa (just go look on the internet yourself, trust us), and Cornelius Bundrage fights for the first time in about a year against Jermall Charlo. Austin Trout fights tonight (Tues) on FoxSports 1, but on Friday light heavyweight champion Adonis Stevenson continues to face sub-par opposition when he defends against Tommy Karpency on Spike, from Premier Boxing Champions. Talented welterweight Errol Spence Jr. fights in the co-feature. On CBS last Sunday from PBC, Anthony Dirrell won a ho hum decision over Marco Antonio Rubio, and in the co-feature Jamie McDonnell again defeated Tomoki Kameda by controversial decision. It's been a mediocre year, as you all know. But there's news about Scott Quigg and Nonito Donaire being nearly finalized, some pointing and laughing to do about upcoming cards... And joining James Foley of Bad Left Hook and The Fight City's Patrick Connor once again this week is Matthew Swain of The Queensberry Rules. Thanks for tuning in! (Photos: Lucas Noonan/PBC)

Another week, another set of fights to discuss, pick apart, have technical difficulties about and so forth on Queensberry Rules Radio. Us boxing fans sure are getting spoiled. But it's probably for the best if we whine, kick sand and make childish jokes. Luckily, that's exactly what James Foley of Bad Left Hook and Patrick Connor of Queensberry Rules plan to do once more on this episode. For starters, Mikey Garcia drew forth plenty of favorable comparisons with his destruction of Rocky Martinez, and don't forget Nonito Donaire sniffing the faint odor of defeat before dipping Vic Darchinyan in a pool of hurt juice. Demetrius Andrade also got a win over Vanes Martirosyan (not really worth the joke, pun or fancy language), and Andre Ward vs. Edwin Rodriguez may be worth a few minutes on the show. Thanks for tuning in!
If you hold still for a few minutes, you'll hear a residual sonic boom from the left hooks Gennady Golovkin landed on Curtis Stevens in round 2. Voted Kazakhstan's Most Eligible Bachelor of 2008 and given the key to the city of Kickassville the following year, Golovkin appears to be on a legitimate tear right now. The biggest issue with him may not be who will or will not fight him, rather how Jimmy Tobin, writer for The Cruelest Sport who will be joining us, will fit his Golovkin shrine into his Volkswagon Rabbit when he moves from his granny flat. This week, Mr. Tobin once again joins James Foley of Bad Left Hook and Patrick Connor of Queensberry-Rules to heap praise upon Gennady Golovkin, discuss Mike Perez vs. Magomed Abdusalamov and its fallout, and preview Rocky Martinez vs. Mikey Garcia, Nonito Donaire vs. Vic Darchinyan II and Demetrius Andrade vs. Vanes Martirosyan. Thanks for tuning in!
