Steven talks to boxing legend Bryant Jennings about his upcoming fight in Philadelphia, his belief in the law of attraction, and his thoughts on the changing landscape of boxing. Bryant reflects on his past fights against Klitschko and shares insights on potential future matchups. The conversation delves into the complexities of the boxing world, touching on the misconceptions about money in the sport and the challenges faced by fighters in managing their finances Key Takeaways Money in boxing is not evenly distributed, with only the top fighters making substantial amounts. The perception of boxers being wealthy is often a misconception, as many fighters struggle financially. The current boxing landscape has fewer fighters making more money, compared to the past where more fighters shared the earnings. Managing money wisely is crucial for boxers, as financial success is not solely dependent on earnings but also on financial management. Only the top superstars in boxing, such as Canelo and AJ, are able to secure significant financial rewards, while others may struggle to make ends meet. BEST MOMENTS "You always have to speak things into existence and never speak of any doubt." "I think he's complete. He's done everything that he can do, and just rightfully so." "I think that taking a different route, a little shortcut, is a better option for me." "He's done everything that he can do, and just rightfully so." "The rise of Saudi Arabia and the money... Is that a good thing for boxing?" Earlier this year, Cuba lifted a 60-year ban on professional boxing, which Fidel Castro imposed in 1962. Before then, amateur boxers who wanted to turn pro, had to risk everything in order to defect. This is NOT a discussion about why anyone should or should not get vaccinated. I just couldn't help but weigh in on some of the hypocrisy that I've noticed about vaccination - more specifically on behalf of the anti-vax (or hesitant) side. For example, and this is perfect timing, but there appears to be a correlation between anti-vax folks and die hard fans of former heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder. Wilder fights this weekend in a highly anticipated trilogy bout versus Tyson Fury. Wilder got vaccinated in order for the fight to be scheduled. Do any of his fans care about his decision, or sacrifice, so that they could see the big fight? Other topics on this episode include fellow boxer Bryant Jennings' loss of a pay day due to his vax stance, the NBA's Kyrie Irving and Andrew Wiggins, Nikki Minaj versus Joy Reid, and some points about a Busta Rhymes anti-mask tirade. Today is truly a heavyweight interview, as Steven talks to pro-boxer, and star of Netflix's The Game Changers, Bryant Jennings, who joins the show to discuss his life and career as a fighter, his associations and work with some of boxing's elite, his outlook towards health and how it has, and is, shaping his journey, and the importance of learning how to live properly. KEY TAKEAWAYS Great fighters surround themselves with the best. Not only do they find themselves pushed to their limits, physically, but also mentally. It's a relationship that teaches each participant much about the ways in which we can be better. As elite athletes we are so focussed on the moment that we often don't take the time to appreciate the size of the moment itself. It takes a huge leap to gain that outside perspective. We learn to live by living. When you rack up experience in life, it makes you appreciate different things. With experience comes wisdom, and a deep respect for differences. The smaller side roads we come to appreciate are what shape our journey later in life. Many of the obstacles we find ourselves having to overcome are mental ones. If we do not feel the need to conquer, then we assure ourselves of that. We should always seek to align our promises and our values to those who are honest. We only get so many chances to tie our names to an ideal - make sure we tie it something we trust. BEST MOMENTS 'I'm conditioning a superstar instead of focussing on me being a superstar' 'I can create the energy that I need for myself' 'Over time I learned how to live' 'I'm passionate about being truthful' ‘It's healthy to challenge things and not be censored because of it' VALUABLE RESOURCES The Steven Sulley Study Bryant Jennings - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bryant_Jennings Bryant Jennings Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/byjennings/?hl=en ABOUT THE HOST The Steven Sulley Study is my take on success. "We've received a formal offer to fight Dereck Chisora on October 26. We have accepted on the condition that two clauses are inserted into the contract," Higgins told The New Zealand Herald."One is that Joseph's fight will be no earlier than the penultimate fight on the card, and the other is the drug testing protocols."And Higgins warns that his boxer will walk away from the fight - unless the drug testing protocols are agreed upon."Under the circumstances of those conditions not being met, unfortunately we will have to pull out of the fight," Higgins said.Parker has been calling for a fight with Chisora for a while. Inside of the ring, objectively, it doesn't get a whole lot better than last weekend. Between Matthysse-Provodnikov and Terence Crawford vs Thomas Dulorme on HBO and Andrzej Fonfara vs Julio Cesar Chavez on Showtime, there was mayhem, dirty tactics, drama, classy boxing, blood and, not to be overlooked, tremendous heart shown. Unfortunately so much of the great stuff was overshadowed by an ill-advised social media choice from Sergey Kovalev. This week on TQBR Radio, James Foley of Bad Left Hook and The Queensberry Rules' Patrick Connor cover it all, from top to bottom -- including this coming weekend's Wladimir Klitschko vs Bryant Jennings...whatever it is. Thanks for tuning in! (Photos: Ed Mulholland/HBO/LM Otero/AP)

Dynamite? Adamantium? Anvils? The Ghost of Tom Joad? Hyperbole aside, Golovkin is tearing through the ranks at 160 lbs. -- what you'd expect any middleweight badass with a point to prove. Golovkin's obliteration of Daniel Geale was impressive, even if Bryant Jennings' win over Mike Perez was not. This week on TQBR Radio, Bad Left Hook's James Foley and Patrick Connor of Queensberry Rules turn the GGG hype up a notch and fawn all over one of the podcast's favorite sons. Also on the agenda, a preview of Brandon Rios vs Diego Chaves and Sergey Kovalev vs Blake Caparello. Thanks for tunint in! (Photo: Joe Camporeale)

Generally when the waters near the shore of a beach recede, it means a tsunami is on its way and you need to run your ass off. This weekend, the receding waters signify the imminent arrival of one of the hardest hitting fighters in the world today, Gennady Golovkin. You should still run your ass off, however. The last minute cancelation of Tyson Fury vs. Dereck Chisora II means the boxing world will be even more dependent on Golovkin-Geale to satisfy its bloodlust. This week on TQBR Radio, Bad Left Hook's James Foley and Patrick Connor of Queensberry Rules do a comprehensive preview of Golovkin-Geale and the Bryant Jennings vs Mike Perez co-feature on HBO, and recap last weekend's card from Macau, China that featured Zou Shiming, Guillermo Rigondeaux and Brian Viloria. Joining the jealous junkies this week is boxing writer and Bad Left Hook contributor Steve Janoski. Thanks for tuning in! (Photos: Chris Farina/Top Rank)
That's it. We're through it. We survived the first big fight weekend of 2014 and nothing happened that we can't recover from. Not much great happened, but most of us weren't expecting anything from the "___ of the Year" class anyway. Besides, we just went through that stuff. Some significant things happened though -- things worth blabbering about for a few hours, at least. This week on Queensberry Rules Radio, James Foley of Bad Left Hook and Queensberry-Rules' Patrick Connor cut to the heart of why exactly you're a boxing fan, and they'll make fun of everything to the point of annoyance. There was Mikey Garcia vs. Juan Carlos Burgos, Lamont Peterson vs. Dierry Jean, Bryant Jennings vs. Artur Szpilka, Jermell Charlo vs. Gabe Rosado, and much more. Also this coming week, Victor Ortiz makes his return against Luis Collazo on Fox Sports 1. Joining TQBR Radio this week, contributor for The Sweet Science and assistant boxing coach at UC Davis Joel Stern. Also, last minute special guest Queensberry Rules contributor Matt Swain. Thanks for tuning in!
